### 3/5 — Connect to iPad?

*2025-12-26, version 2.0.1*

Can we get compatibility with iPads also. Specifically iPad Pro on iPadOS26

### 2/5 — Terrible delay

*2024-12-20, version 2.0.1*

It does provide a awesome Split screen allowing you to have to display for a Mac virtual display however, the delaying the split screen is horrible such that when you’re trying to use your mouth to navigate in the Split screen, the delay is so huge that it’s impossible to navigate in Split screen, unless you have a huge amount of patient and you would navigate very very very slowly

### 2/5 — Nice idea, However;

*2024-08-22, version 2.0.1*

The idea of having an app that is doing what apple didn’t do until now is really nice however the image is not crisp, the motion is too laggy. Look i love the idea behind. The app and i am definitely willing to pay for such app, however it should work smoothly and it should literally replace a physical monitor!

### 2/5 — Great concept but still needs a lot of work. Constantly crashing and have to restart.

*2024-05-28, version 1.7.1*

I like the functionality of the app and you can get it set up perfectly. The frustrating thing is that it constantly crashes and you have to restart it and sometimes the additional screen is incredibly laggy. If they can work through the bugs, then this would be an amazing app, because it is perfect to use the Apple vision.

### 2/5 — App has gotten worse

*2024-04-22, version 1.7*

A few weeks ago, after one of the updates, I noticed that every time I try to do the two screen set up I received the error notification ” input not working”. I have not consistently use the app since this happened. I sent an email to the team, but they never replied back. In hindsight, I never would have spent the money on this app.

### 2/5 — Low frame rate

*2024-04-19, version 1.7*

If you think you’re going to get the same quality of remote desktop that’s available natively, but with multiple windows, you’re going to be disappointed.

### 2/5 — Only one screen

*2024-03-28, version 1.6*

Only shows one screen on my intel mac

### 3/5 — Latest is crashing a lot 1.5.3

*2024-03-25, version 1.5.3*

Needs some work, as I’m getting crashes

### 2/5 — Buggy and half baked

*2024-03-19, version 1.4*

Wanted to like it but the 2nd screen is slow and unresponsive. Will hope for better in a future update but this version is more of a demo version of what could be possible

### 3/5 — Mixed bag - works as advertised, some catches.

*2024-03-19, version 1.4*

I want to use this app, but at the time of this review, using the Splitscreen display and the built-in display mirroring sharing appears to break features in sharing your input devices from your Mac with Vision Pro Apps (setting in Displays > Advanced). It seems to me that this may be a known limitation, as that disables the option when the secondary display is added when starting a Splitscreen session. This is a feature that in my view is really critical to the experience of using Vision Pro. If that is fixed to work reliably, I would have no reservations with paying for the time limit unlock.

### 3/5 — Multiple desktop please

*2024-03-06, version 1.2*

Just two isn’t enough, also, please don’t block input to vision is apps

### 3/5 — Released a production version, despite known issues in test pilot

*2024-02-28, version 1.1*

This is a great app to have, but the reality is it’s not ready. There’s still a lot of bugs and a lot of issues with cursor management between windows. one issue is the input temporary not working error, which is the result of universal control incompatibility with the app. Even though we highlighted these issues in test pilot, they still released it into production anyway, and then offered a solution in their FAQ that doesn’t actually resolve the problem.

Outside of these minor quirks, the app is helpful and handy and is only $20 for infinite second monitor usage

### 1/5 — SplitScreen Freezes Pointer – No Support Response After Multiple Emails

*2025-07-29, version 2.0.1*

Bought SplitScreen hoping for a better multitasking experience. Instead, it breaks pointer movement between displays. Specifically:
	•	When I re-enable “Allow pointer to move between screens” in macOS, the pointer starts freezing or becomes unresponsive.
	•	Reproducible across systems — even on a brand-new MacBook Pro.
	•	Happens whether using a standard setup or in Mac Virtual Display mode with Vision Pro.

Emailed support multiple times — zero response. If you rely on dual-screen workflows or use AVP, this app may cause more problems than it solves.

Still waiting on a fix or refund. Until then: Avoid.

### 1/5 — Errors

*2024-09-26, version 2.0.1*

“Missing configuration” and no UI. It works if I completely reinstall, but fails on next reboot of device.

### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Money

*2024-06-04, version 1.7.1*

The app just doesn’t do what you have paid for it to do. Moreover, the issues with the app are not updated enough to make it useful. Glaring issues with the app still have not been worked out. The app is currently too annoying to be useful.

### 1/5 — Janky mess

*2024-04-18, version 1.7*

Slow, buggy, and not worth the frustration. Better using a single display with the built in connect feature. If you really need multi display, take off the VisionPro and use your Mac normally.

### 1/5 — Not ready for production. Still very alpha. Buggy

*2024-04-12, version 1.7*

Continuous issue with starting app on MacBook to display AVP.

### 1/5 — Lots of crashing

*2024-04-02, version 1.6.1*

Frequently
crashed within the first 10 minutes of testing. Was not able to get it to work besides PowerPoint mode.

### 1/5 — Does not work on Intel base machines!

*2024-03-15, version 1.4*

That’s all I can say, Does not work on Intel base machines!

### 1/5 — Buggy & unfinished

*2024-03-14, version 1.4*

App crashes, windows become unresponsive, extremely high latency in the same environment where the Mac virtual display is flawless. This is not ready for prime time

### 1/5 — Mac App Crashes

*2024-02-27, version 1.0*

The Mac App crashes/closes as soon as I try to connect. I hope a future version works, as this is an awesome idea! (I run a lot of utilities, so it may work for you.)

### 2/5 — Great idea, sadly not there yet.

*2025-05-12, version 2.0.1*

Everything sets up easily. It runs well, apart from resolution and latency which unfortunately are a dealbreaker. I don’t know if this is a limitation of visionOS or the app itself. Hopefully they can improve it with an update, in which case I will certainly be purchasing!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-02-17, version 2.0.1*

I really wish there were more updates on this. This is such a great app. I did have to reinstall it to get rid of a configuration error, but the website is still available. I would hope that the developer wouldn’t mind coming back even if it was for a few bucks per install

### 5/5 — Feel compelled to explain that this does work…!

*2026-01-27, version 2.0.1*

I almost never write reviews, but I have seen the negative reviews of this app, and feel I must point out that I, too, had real difficulties using this app until I realised that the reason it didn’t work properly for me was not the fault of the app, but a design ‘feature’ from Apple. If you find you are having stuttery/juddery playback, it is almost certainly because of something called AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link) which causes WiFi to be very briefly redirected towards the Apple connected device (an iPhone on sidecar or Vision Pro via its custom WiFi connection) once every second. The only way to stop this interfering with smooth ‘streamed’ playback - ie a remote desktop - is to ensure that your 5g WiFi channel is set the same as the AWDL channel for your territory. In the UK (and maybe Europe/Asia) this is 5g Channel 44. In the US this is Channel 149. I had consistently poor stuttery ‘split screen’ until I connected both my mac and my AVP to Channel 44, and immediate the playback was as smooth as I could hope for. I now use this app for work sometimes 8 hours a day and it is more or less perfect. Yes, it has some quirks, and it crashes pretty easily if you are changing settings etc, but once it is setup, it behaves very reliably.

### 5/5 — I need help!

*2024-11-25, version 2.0.1*

I’m very surprised that the thing apple has yet to accomplish is the very thing this development team has done and was the sole reason why i purchased the Apple Vision Pro in the first place. Thank you!

I have one minor issue that I don’t know how to solve: “input temporarily not working” is a continual pop up that appears on my main display and I’m unaware of how to get rid of the eye sore when the dual monitors work just fine. I’m sure there is a solution to this which is why i gave this review 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Great Addition to AVP

*2024-08-21, version 2.0.1*

It works seamlessly, with a negligible delay. Tried immersed, and Splitscreen is just the best one in this multi screen for AVP. I hope the developers add more screens than 1.

### 5/5 — Very Good Start

*2024-04-02, version 1.6.1*

Overall, the performance is very close to being perfect. I am on a reliable high speed, low latency network and this app works quite well. Even at 60 fps though, there is still a little more input lag than the native Apple mirroring. So depending on your workflow, you can certainly use the Apple display as your main screen and use this as a reliable secondary display.

One thing that was not clear to me when I first launched the app is that you do want to make sure you first connect the native Apple virtual display, then launch this connection from that open window. This will create a secondary display that will show up in your system settings. However, if you try to launch this display first, it will mirror your monitor but it will not work properly.

I am giving it 5 stars because this small dev team seems eager to continue to update the app. They have some nice features planned and I image the performance will improve as well. Thanks for creating this app.

### 5/5 — Great add-on to screen sharing on the Vision Pro

*2024-03-29, version 1.6*

Set up is simple. I have had a few moments where it’s frozen or disconnected but reconnecting is very easy. On the whole it works well and I love having the second screen on the Vision Pro.

### 5/5 — Thank you for making this.

*2024-02-29, version 1.1*

This was the entire reason I bought a Vision Pro. Thank you for making this.

### 4/5 — Intel Mac Support

*2024-03-14, version 1.4*

The app works great. It just needs intel mac to be suported for it to be five stars. Looking forward for the next update.

### 4/5 — Good, some fixes away from great

*2024-03-06, version 1.2*

The latency is noticably worse than the normal Mac screen display - but it certainly works and is nice for mostly static apps like Slack or Outlook.

My only gripe with this has been the display occasionally being unresponsive. The app seems to still consider the display responsive in the debug menu - but I can't see my mouse moving. Toggling the FPS quickly fixes this - but can be annoying to feel like I can't rely on the screen always being there for a quick app switch without the workaround.

Overall - very solid though - its why I was even excited for the Vision Pro and this makes that initial dream all the more possible.

### 4/5 — A few launch day bugs but great overall

*2024-02-28, version 1.1*

This functionality shouldn’t have cost me twenty bucks. I can’t imagine why visionOS doesn’t support multiple virtual displays natively (and now worry for this developer that it will sometime soon). Whatever. I can finally take advantage of the use case I had in mind when I bought this gizmo and I’m happy.
