L Interface devrait avoir 2 modes un avance et un basique . Une autre chose on ne sait pas ou voir notre abonnement . I have checked its readings against a dedicated sound level device and they concur. The FFT is good, really handy for identifying noise sources. It is a fantastic reliable and useful app. I highly recommend it. It’s very helpful when measuring speakers, general levels of noise if I’m in an audience, and I even use it with over the ear headphones (I just get the mic-end of the phone as close I can where my ears would reside within the earpiece to get a general idea so I protect my ears). If you don’t have a dedicated spl meter (or don’t carry one around with you) I recommend you get this. (Edit: Thank you - look forward to the update - it’s a great app so apologies for only giving a review once a bug turned up) ### 5/5 — Excellente app et imbattable pour le rapport service rendu/prix *2019-12-21* J’avais une app extrêmement chère qui me convenait bien depuis des années mais qui ne fonctionne plus depuis IOS13 Il faut maintenant passer par un abonnement ce que je déteste au plus au point J’ai donc passer une journée entière à rechercher une app qui ferait mon affaire Celle la n’a pas été mon premier choix car si l’app est plus que parfaite elle n’est vraiment pas bien présentée sur l’Apple store Par exemple on ne voit pas les aides qui s’affiche quand on touche un bouton on peut aussi croire que la courbe est étriquée car il n’y a pas de photos exemple en mode paysage Le vumètre peut changer de présentation On touche Fast et on passe à Slow Un appui long pour éviter les erreurs et on passe de db A à un autre type sans avoir besoin de se perdre dans des menus de paramètre etc etc On voit aussi achat intégré, ce qui fait un peu peur car on ne sait pas trop ce qui manque et combien cela coûtera au final Dans ce cas, il n’y a qu’une option s’adressant au vrai professionnel qui voudrait exporter des données brutes Je pense que pour le nombre d’achat qu’il doit se faire il aurait mieux valu la faire gratuite et ne pas écrire achat intégré, du aux risques de clients effrayés qui iront vers une autre appli. Il faut aussi regarder les bundles qui pour pas plus cher proposent des outils comme le diapason ou la calibration d’enceinte En bref le développeur est génial mais pas commercial La seule chose qui manque à mon avis est le fait de pouvoir ajouter une photo au rapport de test Connaître sa position c’est bien mais y ajouter la ou les photos de l’environnement et de la source de bruit serait un plus Ne perdez pas votre temps comme moi a chercher la bonne appli Celle la est une des meilleures si ce n’est la meilleure et a ce prix elle s’achète les yeux fermés **Developer response:** Bonjour. La partie commerciale n'a pas été la priorité, bien qu'il existe une chaine Youtube et une page Facebook dédiée, ainsi qu'une page Web. J'évite le modèle gratuit car un minimum de connaissances est nécessaire pour un outil technique tel que cette application. La conséquence serait une avalanche de commentaires négatifs en provenance de personnes ne disposant pas justement de ce minimum de connaissances. Ceci dit, dans le cadre d'une amélioration continue, j'essayerai d'améliorer l'attractivité de cette application. Other apps allow you to video record w/audio db levels. Even though I paid for the professional version of this app it will not unlock the feature. It’s a scam. I'm looking forward to an update that will make this a useful ap and raise the rating to five stars. Yes I have calibrated RTA mics and room measurement software, but I’ve compared this app side by side with those tools and this is perfectly usable and more than accurate enough for most situations. ### 5/5 — Indispensable *2025-12-08* Je l’ai acheté ily a bien des années et il me sers à chaque prestation pour régler l’EQ et volume. Aussi pour éliminer un Larsen en reconnaissant la fréquence coupable. À la maison je l’utilise pour régler les volumes de mes bandes orchestres. I have a question i think i’m going to answer! With the microphone gain set permanently to ‘auto’ ( i cannot move the slider!), is it impossible to stop this because it uses the inbuilt iphone mic? Obvs, if the mic gain is auto-changing, i cannot realistically measure dB. I had a noisy fan, i cleared debris from the grille…now it measures as louder in dB! It’s much quieter to my ears than it was. I look back at the screenshots, then find i cannot move the mic gain from automatic! This App is excellent for reading loudness levels throughout my day. I sometimes work around an airport. I always protect my ears. It's nice to know what these loud situations could be doing to my hearing at the convenience of my smartphone. Update: I have had this App for over 8 years and still love it. The developer has maintained it all this time. So extremely happy for this. I used it recently when I was at a Wedding Reception. They seated us next to the speaker. I thought I was going to die. It read 96-97 db’s. I showed the people at my table how loud it was. They were surprised. And also showed them this can cause hearing damage if we are to sit here the whole night.
