The only thing that is annoying is I want to be able to just spit the bill on MY end without having to invite people. I picked up the bill at a restaurant and days later my friends reminded me to charge them. I remember exactly what everyone got and partook in and want to be able to just assign the items to my friends quickly on my end just to calculate what they owe me, but i HAVE to invite my friends to the bill in order to do that? The other three glanced at each other awkwardly and one said they assumed we were going to just split the bill four ways. I explained that I had only one drink while two of the others had two drinks (additional tax), one of colleagues ordered a starter, my meal (vegetarian) was several dollars cheaper than the others, and wouldn’t it be more equitable if everyone selected what they’d ordered off the receipt and then Venmo’d me what they’d ordered? Needless to say, the app worked, but I haven’t been invited out for dinner and drinks in a month. This is the best way to split bills and make sure everyone pays their own tab. Quickly splits up a bill into individual items and you’re able to split items with friends. Tax and tip included and links right to your Venmo. It's simple, It's reliable, and it works even if you don't download the app. I recently used it with a group of 11 people and successfully divided and collected payment for nearly $5,000 worth of bills. Not a penny was left unaccounted for. Any app that requires all the people on the check to make an account is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Charged & No Reply *2026-05-21, version 20.0.0* Downloaded this app to split the bill for a birthday brunch. A girl in the group recommended it. Good idea, but for an annual subscription of $45, I can do math myself. I saw there was a “free 3 day trial” and after taking care of the bill, I deleted my account so I wouldn’t be charged. However, I guess going into the app and deleting your account doesn’t work? After 3 days I got charged $45 for my “annual subscription.” Turns out you have to physically go into your settings and apps and cancel the subscription. Not sure why deleting my account after 1 day into the free trial didn’t work. So, I reached out to the support email to see if there was anything they could do to possibly reimburse me. $45 is not a small amount for something I will never use again. Never got a reply from the tech support and I thought at least I’d get a response saying they cannot refund me. Poor customer service and not clear on how to make sure you don’t get charged the subscription fee. ### 1/5 — No longer functional! *2026-02-17, version 18.0.0* No app updates in 2 years. Website is non-functional. App has bugs that won’t let me log out of editing mode so friends can’t itemize and pay. What a waste of money ### 1/5 — Deleted it the same day I got it. *2024-02-25, version 17.0.0* Firstly, there’s a limit to the number of checks you can split within a month without paying for the app. That almost made me delete it. What finally made me delete it was that you can’t just select what your others got manually—you have to send them a link so they each have to do it themselves. I don’t want to be the person to ask my friends to each check their phones for a link after dinner to select what they got at the restaurant so they can send me the right amount. I’d rather do it myself and ask them to send it to me once I’ve got it figured out. Seems like all this app cares about it increasing its user base and cash flow. You have to upload the receipt before it shows you the items. And they cannot be assigned until you invite people. I recommend doing a test receipt first to get familiar with it. Ask a friend to help you so you can send them the link as a test. Once you figure it out, it’s incredible! My favorite feature is that it splits the tax & tip by only your items. My friends have also started using it. It is extremely user friendly and does a well job in capturing receipts and splitting it. I also love that it’s easily customizable to receipts that may have some other service charges that are added that are harder to capture in other apps that I have used previously.
