That is until you made it impossible to win. I have spent hour after hour trying to win the chests of gems but it’s impossible now. I refuse to spend money on a game that gives nothing back to loyal players. You can play for about two minutes before your generators need to recharge (because they never give you the things you actually need). And I have no idea what on earth the coins are for. They literally seem to have no use, and yet you’re “rewarded” with them for completing tasks. I was hoping that with the name “spookyville” it would have some cute halloweeny music, or sound effects, but the music is generic and fluffy, and the actual merge part of the game doesn’t even have any! I also wasted a bit of time at the beginning not knowing that I should collect my xp and level up to progress, cause the game doesn’t tell you how to unlock the second generator (the one you need for hats). Eventually I just did it cause it was the only thing I hadn’t tried. But I originally had been saving the xp because you can merge it, and the game doesn’t even really mention that you get stuff for levelling up. My bar wasn’t high, but I’m still disappointed. Good job game. You got me to watch about a dozen ads before I completely gave up. ### 1/5 — Game won’t load *2023-03-02, version 1.0.22* I downloaded this game on both my iPad and phone. It will not load past 21% ### 1/5 — Cute but broken *2023-03-02, version 1.0.22* I love the look of this game and it’s a great time passing game however the mahjong game is stuck on level 2 I have played it oh my gosh so so many times I can’t even tell you lol I should have accidentally won by now. I sent in a question to have it checked but was told the level was just supper hard………ok not sure it’s the same level when it’s a different board every time?🤔 So I played and played until I remembered that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Ads cut of the bottom of the screen, too. Given that I was shown an ad before the tutorial began, I am assuming this is just an advertising platform rather than a game. ### 1/5 — You destroyed my favorite game!!! *2025-01-18, version 1.0.50* I can't believe that you killed my favorite game! I have played religiously for 2 years. Yeah, there were a few ads but nothing crazy and the monthly card purchase was a good investment that got rid of most of them. But now they are everywhere! When you enter the app, ads. Try to play, unskippable ads. They are everywhere. Screw this. I am deleting it today. Don't bother spending any money, they will find a way to screw you over. Truly disgusting. According to the developers in order to redeem this item which is hidden by the cloud cover you need to pay to proceed with the game. Sadly I’m not going to pay them $15.99 so I’ll now delete this game. This seems to be an issue with their other game as well Merge Restaurant hasn’t had any updates in close to a year and it too is unplayable. ### 1/5 — Spookyville Merge *2024-03-19, version 1.0.42* Really enjoyed playing this game, until receiving chalice and now I can’t proceed unless I pay 19.99. Very disappointing, and very disappointed in developers, as they said that would change, but has been months. Guess time to delete game. ### 1/5 — Unable to complete items *2024-01-24, version 1.0.42* I love this game, but it’s gets too a point that you can’t complete items needed because they don’t give you the items needed. I was stuck on making the blue mushrooms and bread, finally was able to use all my diamonds to purchase what I needed to get the generator to make them. Now I’m stuck on the roses, I’ve completed all the items I could now I need to make a blue rose, but don’t have the items to make the generator. I only have 3 items in the series, they should give the items needed to make what you need in the chests or when you level up. I contacted them they suggested I buy diamonds or collect them but when you can find the items needed in the black market it’s like 80-100 for low level items. I think I’m going to end up deleting the app. ### 1/5 — What a Joke! *2024-01-17, version 1.0.42* This game only has Nine Location to uncover & then it’s DONE! Well that is if you don’t want to pay $15.99 to do another One, but the trick of it is or should I say the bait & switch of it is that out of the blue it starts giving more tasked to do for the Pirate Land only to tell you you’re now going to have to buy it in order to finish that location! I thought it was giving me all these tasks to do & once I had finished, that the clouds would disappear & it would give me more tasks to finish Pirate Land Location but nope, for some reason it gave me numerous tasks to do & after collecting everything I needed to make the Golden Holy Grail of Luxury it stopped working! I asked support what was up and they said I had to pay$15.99 to do it. I asked Why did it give me all the tasks to do & then just stop if that was the case. And they just wouldn’t give me an answer as to why. So they baited me in by giving me tasks to do & then after it taking me weeks to build the Golden Holy Grail basically said pay up to finish the Pirate Land Location or your game is finished unless you want to wait till we make more locations. What A JOKE! ### 1/5 — Board now *2023-12-12, version 1.0.39* So was a good game till you get to all you need is a level 13 cup 6 months later not even close to it as it will not give you a level one cup in days. Wants you to pay money to go on. Not happening with me. If you want a game to keep you busy a bit ok. Otherwise, you get lots of hours of play time. You get to choose if you want to deal with commercials. You can double your rewards by watching one. You can also watch one to recharge an item, to pop a bubble, and to gain energy. But if you’re really not in the mood to deal with commercials, you have that choice. You basically get rewarded for watching commercials. A silly note on the spooky. It starts out with what looks like a graveyard with a whole bunch of opened and empty coffins. But these coffins are treated as weeds and debris and get cleaned up to plant stuff. Granted, so far it’s evil looking pumpkins and fly traps. But I would think coffins would be considered a wanted decoration. ### 3/5 — Completes the game??? *2023-07-07, version 1.0.32* I’m not really sure if I completed the game or not, as there’s nothing left to do there are many things that are locked, but cannot be unlocked.
