## What is Spoonlet Protein Fiber Tracker?

Protein and fiber tracker with no calorie counting. Free for everyday use, no account, no ads, works offline.

Spoonlet tracks the two nutrients most of us miss, with the portions you already use: a cup of lentils, a pot of yogurt, a slice of bread. Build a meal in a few taps, see protein and fiber side by side, and reuse favorite meals. Track both, or set the focus to fiber only or protein only.

BUILD A MEAL, A FEW TAPS AT A TIME
Search more than 13,000 offline food records from national food composition tables, with everyday choices first, plus restaurant chain menus for the US, UK and Canada. Add lentils by the cup, yogurt by the pot, or any food by weight in grams or ounces. See protein and fiber for the whole meal as you build it.

PACKAGED FOODS, BARCODES AND YOUR OWN LABEL
Turn on online lookup and Spoonlet finds packaged foods on Open Food Facts by name or barcode; only your search words or the barcode leave the phone. Or enter protein and fiber from the pack per serving or per 100 g. A value that is not on the label stays unknown; it is never silently turned into zero.

MAKE NEXT TIME EASIER
Recent foods remember your last amounts. Save favorite meals, repeat them in half, one or one-and-a-half servings, and divide batch recipes into portions. An optional evening check-in helps you finish the day.

GOALS FROM PUBLISHED REFERENCES
Set your own daily goals, or let Spoonlet suggest them from cited references: protein from your body weight (0.8, 1.2 or 1.6 g per kg) and fiber from EFSA, WHO or US adequate intakes. Every suggestion shows its source. Your weight is used only for the calculation and never stored.

YOUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
See what you recorded each day against your goals, correct a meal without duplicating it, and keep every entry on your phone.

GENEROUSLY FREE, NO SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED
Everyday logging, food search, barcode and label foods, favorite meals, batch portions, goals, diary history, weekly summaries, the Lock Screen widget, export and restore are free, with no time limit and no ads. Your first eligible detailed weekly review is free to keep.

OPTIONAL SPOONLET PLUS
Plus is built around the two nutrients. Close the gap: a menu of familiar portions that would finish today's protein or fiber, each one tap from a new meal. See what carries your week: the top foods and meals behind each number, goal streaks, and 30, 90 and 365-day trends. Share a PDF review with a coach or doctor, add the home screen widget and share cards. Meal folders, tags and covers plus extra themes are included. Annual subscription or one-time lifetime unlock; prices are shown by your store in your currency. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through your store account.

WHY PROTEIN AND FIBER
Only about 5% of US adults reach the fiber reference intake, and average intake is around 15 to 17 g a day against a reference of 25 to 38 g. Higher fiber intake is associated with lower rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and colorectal cancer in large reviews. Up to 46% of adults over 70 do not meet the protein reference intake, and protein supports muscle at every age. Spoonlet shows both nutrients side by side so the gap is easy to see and easy to close.

YOUR DIARY STAYS IN YOUR HANDS
Food logging works offline. Spoonlet does not upload your diary and excludes it from automatic device backups. Export a backup before changing phones; it restores on iPhone or Android. Purchases use your app store and RevenueCat; your meal contents are not sent to RevenueCat. Available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Food values and household portions are estimates based on their stated sources or your own labels. Associations reported in nutrition research are not proof of cause. Spoonlet records food and provides general information; it does not diagnose, treat or give individualized dietary advice.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-11-03

Spoonlet 1.6.0

• New: a free Lock Screen widget. See today's protein and fiber against your goals without opening the app.
• A new look across the app: a floating frosted tab bar, a title that folds away as you scroll, totals that count up, cards that rise in, and Spoonlet's own icons on every screen.
• A new app icon in iOS 26 glass, and the goals widget looks right on dark and tinted Home Screens.
• 19 new food illustrations: yogurt, cookies, ice cream, burgers, salads, sushi, tacos, noodles, cereal, salmon, seafood, beef, bacon, beans, chocolate, bars, juice, beer and wine.
• Your first logged meal gets a little moment of its own.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-31

Spoonlet 1.5.0

• Packaged foods the built-in catalog does not know can be looked up on Open Food Facts, the open food database: type the name or tap Scan to read the barcode. Only the words you type are sent, never your diary, and only if you turn it on.
• 24 restaurant chains' published menu nutrition is built in, offline: Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy's, Popeyes, Sweetgreen, Qdoba, Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, Five Guys, Arby's, Jack in the Box, Domino's, Jamba, Smoothie King, Noodles & Company, Greggs, Pret, Nando's, LEON, Tim Hortons and A&W.
• Foods you find online are kept with your label foods for next time.
• Twelve short how-to videos, one task each, in Settings, and a "Watch how" link on the screens they show.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-27

Spoonlet 1.4.1

• Plus shows up at a calmer moment: only after you log a meal and the "Meal logged" message has gone, never as you open the app, and at most once a day.
• After you buy Plus, a short welcome shows where to start: close today's gap, open your review, share a card, add the home screen widget or choose your colors.
• The "Meal logged" message now clears itself after a few seconds. Removing a meal still keeps Undo.
• Restoring a backup keeps the choices you already made on this phone, so cards you closed stay closed.
• A clearer privacy summary in Settings, and fixes for the Plus screen.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-23

Spoonlet 1.4.0

• Type a whole plate, like "chicken breast with rice" or "2 eggs and toast", and Spoonlet offers each food on its own. Searches such as cheerios, string cheese, rotisserie chicken, sourdough or a protein bar now find the right food, and "pizza" finds pizza before pizza sauce.
• Tell us what you need: a small card on Today lets you request a feature or report something off by email, with no diary data attached.
• Your first fiber goal starts from the general adult reference (25 g) and stays editable, so Today has a gap to close from day one.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-10-22

Spoonlet 1.3.3

• Food names, states and descriptions in German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese: all 421 curated foods, so searching "Linsen" or "lentilles" finds them.
• Starter meals and suggestions follow the app language from the first launch and when you switch languages.
• The buttons on a saved meal fit on every screen, also with longer translated labels.
