It froze on me a couple times already though. May want to drop the $9.99 pro a bit until you get the kinks out and more reviews. Lots of these apps and as of 5/30/26 you have 31 total ratings with lots of competition. ### 3/5 — Amazing but a big flaw *2026-04-19, version 6.10* I love this app and it’s great, but sometimes, the song just won’t play, or it just plays a different song, if that problem can be fixed, this might be the best app for Djs ever ### 4/5 — NFG Don’t waste your $$$ *2026-03-17, version 6.10* I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing Sports Audio DJ I use arena audio software to run music and sound effects during hockey games, where reliability is absolutely critical. Unfortunately, this app has now glitched and crashed twice during live events, including the most recent incident just before a championship final game where I was responsible for the game presentation music. That is not a minor inconvenience — it’s a complete failure of a tool that is supposed to perform in high-pressure, live environments. When software designed for live sports presentation crashes at the worst possible moment, it undermines the entire event experience and leaves the operator scrambling. What makes this even more frustrating is that my attempts to contact the company about these issues have gone unanswered. I have reached out looking for support or even acknowledgment of the problem, and so far those efforts have fallen on deaf ears. For a paid piece of software used in live production, that level of customer support is unacceptable. To be clear, the concept behind the app is good and when it works it can be useful. But reliability and support are everything in live event production, and right now this product fails in both categories. If you are considering this app, be aware that crashes can happen without warning, and you may find yourself on your own if something goes wrong. Until these issues are addressed and the company demonstrates responsive customer support, I cannot recommend this product. ### 3/5 — Good but too quiet *2026-02-10, version 6.09* Compared to other third-party apps it’s a couple volume notches lower even with all of the settings turned up. Have pro version. ### 4/5 — Audio DJ *2026-02-06, version 6.09* This is exactly the app I am looking for. However, I bought the pro version so I would be able to start the song from where I choose. And when I choose to start a song (30 seconds into it, for example) It will play the first split second of the song before jumping to the designated start time. Pretty annoying and trying to see if there’s a way around this. I updated my iPads newest IOS thinking that may help but I’m still having the same problem. Wondering if there’s a way I can fix this bug. Perfect for my need of doing sound/music for football games at a high school stadium! Pro version is definitely worth it. ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2025-09-18, version 5.96* I have been using this app for years now and although it works well 75% of the time, during the important times when you need it to work well, it ends up glitching and freezing mid game, causing you to miss song intervals and having to close it and restart it. I paid to have the pro version and it glitches, sometimes the app freezes so I can’t play any music at all. I’ve set up my playlist and cut into the perfect spot in my songs which was all easy enough but it won’t play once I get to the rink. This app is very glitchy. It won’t play when you tap on songs. For me it was The National Anthem. I ended up reciting The Pledge of Alliance. The volume control goes up and down on its own in the middle of a song. It switches between Spotify and the app on its own. Well, initially, there were some bugs especially while trying to use Apple Music rather than songs already downloaded and some things to figure out like an annoying beeping sound at the start of each song while using a Bluetooth receiver (turning off Apple Music setting for crossfade resolved the issue for a while, but it has now returned). The app is pretty good for the money and I appreciate a one time charge rather than an ongoing subscription and feel like I’m getting my moneys worth. I would like to give a big thank you to the developer for the great app and the ongoing support! I would highly recommend this app! Honestly I think Apple should include this app on the new iPhones as they have made a bunch of money off all the songs I have purchased from ITunes. ### 5/5 — Great app *2026-01-15, version 6.08* Have been using this app for some time now for playing music at hockey games. Paid apps are just like a service and you need to pay! Nothing in life is free!! 🙄 The pay version is one time charge and very cheap for what you get - this app is easy to use, and works seamless with Apple Music. Works well during games, just make sure you have good cell or wifi…some arenas have bad reception and then you will need to save your audio files to your device.
