However the summer program points don’t add up unless you schedule a class. Apparently they don’t count towards the “workout” time you spend at the gym. -I’ve gone 3x this week and no points accumulated for me because they were not on reserved classes. Also, what’s the point of privacy if you’re going to send me my visible password in an email. Notify me that password has been updated or changed, and ask if I did it or not…but to actually add the password?! Wow not careful about a member’s privacy at all. ### 4/5 — Needs slight tweaking *2022-03-15, version 3.3* It’s a pretty basic app used for booking classes and obtaining a digital membership card which can be added to apple wallet. The area for improvement would be adding the date to the alerts. I’m glad it will tell you if your gym has no hot water but it will not tell you when that alert was added so I have no idea if this is a new alert. I do not think the notifications appear on the iPhone you have to go into the app to see notifications. Also when booking a class add the event to the calendar that would be super helpful. ### 1/5 — NYSC=FRAUDS=SCAMMERS=CRIMINALS *2021-09-03, version 3.1* NYSC tricks you when you cancel your membership. One staff will tell you that your cancellation is done. Then, next month you will find that you have been charged again. When you call back, someone will tell you that your membership isn’t canceled and ask you about the person you spoke to before as they know you won’t remember. Then, they will cancel it after charging you a month extra and send you that email confirmation as you would insist after being defrauded the first time. Be very careful with those disgusting thieves. ### 5/5 — I am impressed! *2021-08-05, version 3.1* This is a wonderful institution and App. NEW YORK SPORTS CLUB maintains its hard earned reputation for excellence; caring, meticulous and able trainers & fine state of the art equipment. Join, you won’t be disapponinted! ### 1/5 — NO CANCELLATION OPTIONS *2020-09-12, version 2.9* The app needs to have a feature that allows for cancellation of membership (and the chain should allow this in their service policies). It should have notifications about gym closures and other news too. The lack speaks volumes about a business that had the nerve to charge members on April 1, 2020 after being shut down by the state of NY on March 15. ### 1/5 — Disappointed ☹️ *2020-03-01, version 2.7* I have never been so disappointed as now. This application does not work! does not show the exact time of the class, which is extremely inconvenient for me. The application shows the class, its location and time, for example, 12-7pm, and what does this mean the class lasts 7 hours? if I do the registration, then application chooses the time itself (it’s supposed to be chose by me!) . I deleted and downloaded this program 3-4 times, and it still doesn’t work. The managers who work there also know nothing and could not help. Is it really impossible to fix all the flaws and make this program convenient for people? NYSC is an expensive club, and millions of people use this program. Please make improvements for members of this club. ### 2/5 — Update broke the app again *2020-02-19, version 2.7* One of the best features of the app, at least before the update, was the fact that when you used the app to reserve a class it was automatically added to your calendar. Doesn't work now even though the app has permission to access my calendar. Please fix the bug you introduced. You did fix the GUI took you long enough. ### 1/5 — Worst App I’ve Ever Used *2019-12-28, version 2.6* This app...I can’t. If you go to the class list the class titles hide the app navigation so if you try to go anywhere else in the app you can’t without closing it and reopening it. It is literally the worst application I have ever used. BSC needs to spend some money to hire someone who actually knows what they are doing. I’m a brand new member and this is my first experience with BSC...if the gym itself is as bad as the app I will probably cancel. ### 2/5 — iphone 11 bugs? *2019-12-26, version 2.6* It doesn’t seem to work well with newer model phones because the app exists beyond the screen of the phone instead of auto adjusting graphics to fit the phone space. Also some of the buttons don’t respond when clicked forcing me to swipe out of the app and clear it out of my dock in order to get onto the main page, which is pretty annoying to have to do each time. ### 2/5 — Poor layout, notifications, and unreliable functions *2019-12-18, version 2.6* Notifications can’t be read entirely with the iPhone 11 and a couple earlier iPhones. The notification is so high on the screen, and can’t be moved, that the message is cut off by the camera. The functions at the bottom of the screen are superimposed over other functions so you can’t be sure of what you are hitting. I get error messages saying I can’t book a class. So I will pick another class instead. And sometimes there is another error with the next class. Hours later, the app says I am booked for both classes.
