That seems silly. Every other app in the entire world can remember your login information. I love that I can now watch a game on my phone, but it’s silly and inconvenient that I have to reselect my TV provider and log in if I, say, switch from the app to check some stats or respond to a text. User complaints and comments expressed two years ago are still an issue. Casting/airplay to another product should be available in 2020. If you won’t give what you say you will then get out of the app business!!! I live in Houston. My cable TV provider is Comcast/Xfinity. And do you allow me to connect to Comcast/Xfinity here with your app??? Easy answer: NO!!! I don’t care about your why nots. When you advertise during Astros games I watch on cable from Comcast/Xfinity at home that I can watch my Astros games “anywhere” with your app then I should!!! Right ??? Guess what... No if’s, no and’s, or no but’s allowed!! When I can’t, do what you advertise then to me that is cheesy false advertising. Either allow Comcast/Xfinity customers to access EVERY Astros game or get out of the app business!!! That’s my feelings!!! The FCC and the Federal Trade Commission should investigate you for false advertising. And the BBB should give you a less than favorable rating for sure!!! ### 2/5 — Can’t watch on Apple TV or even mirror screens *2021-01-31, version 2.0.10* It’s good to be able to watch penguins games if you’re in the viewing area, but it’s about time they made this app compatible with Apple TV streaming devices. And if you won’t make it available on Apple TV, you could at least allow the video to be stream cast to linked devices. And if you wont do THAT, it would be nice if my lighting/hdmi adapter would transmit the video as one would expect. It seems you are intent on preventing your app users to view the content on a television or the display of their choosing. This in my opinion is either incompetence, or malice. We would have given it zero stars but that’s not an option. Terrible app and terrible network. We can never get any of the games we want. We are just glad our other favorite teams are smart enough not to use this network. Another major annoyance is the app makes me login at least once a week. I have no other streaming apps that continually make me login. The problems with this application have persisted for years and nothing ever changes. Don’t like it? All you can do is switch to somebody besides AT&T, and they are the only option for the Astros. The one thing I wish y’all would do is at least add it to Roku,fire stick, or any other streaming devices... just horrible ### 1/5 — Can not stream to a TV *2020-08-07, version 2.0.9* Only works on your phone or iPad. Does not allow you to broadcast to a tv or no app for Apple TV. Not a great experience trying to watch the game on your iPhone. I figured it would be no problem to use this app in my basement which is set up for sports viewing, but not directly connected to the cable line. Because you know, it works for absolutely everything else. Sadly, I was trying to watch a Colorado Rockies game in this instance. It doesn’t surprise me though, as I’m dealing with 3 of the absolute worst organizations in their respective fields. ### 1/5 — Junk and waist of time *2019-12-03, version 2.0.7* If you have A major provider of tv and internet (Xfinity) in Utah it won’t allow you to steam games on this app. No wonder it as horrible reviews. If AT&T wants to start being a sports provider they need to step their game up big time and stop with the cable and direct tv feud. My biggest hope is that the Jazz get enough complaints to cancel their contact with AT&T and get one with a true sports tv and internet provider ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time downloading *2019-11-23, version 2.0.7* Downloaded this app to watch the Utah Jazz play because apparently my $240 a month to Comcast doesn’t allow me to stream AT&T SportsNet to my phone unless I am on my home WiFi.......because that makes any sense, if I am at home I am watching the game on my 65” TV and not my 4” phone screen but whatever. Downloaded the app only to find out that Comcast is not an approved provider on the list. It is ridiculous to see how every provider wants to see how much deeper they can get their junk in the pot then the next guy!! Don’t waste your time downloading. Would give 0 stars if I could! ### 2/5 — Can’t stream at all *2019-11-19, version 2.0.7* I have seen many apps that don’t have air stream capability however for those I use the HDMI adapter to run on TV. I don’t know how but this designer has managed to block the picture when using the HDMI. Sound works, no picture. As soon as you exit the app picture come back. The reason people like me, a millennial who wishes to watch my favorite team turn to apps, is to resolve my concern of wanting to watch “the ball game” on my IPad!! The app carries the name AT&T Sports Net. This is a company that is trying to provide a service of streaming games people like me want to watch. Contract issues, provider problems, the issue that this app doesn’t resolve my concern of wanting to stream my favorite sports team is a direct reflection of this company, and therefore, it warrants a negative review because they either won’t, or haven’t, take steps toward making this possible to certain subscribers. The app itself seems to work with minimal bugs or issues, but a great app, that because of contract problems, can provide what is was made to do to so many people, is an app that doesn’t deserve more then 2 stars. Why would I want a great car that looks and runs great, but I can’t drive it. I gave it two stars to take into account that the app works pretty good for the few people that can use it for the purpose it was created for. If I could give 0 stars I would. Any paying subscriber to this channel should have streaming rights. I will never subscribe to AT&T or Directv ever. I have watched the Houston Astros religiously for 40 plus years. My wife and I recently decided to do away with satellite TV and go with streaming. The only provider that I can get ATT SportsNet on is FUBO. Which must be an acronym for horrible programming. They don’t even offer ESPN. My wife is terribly unhappy and I am quite scared this will be my last chance to watch the Astros. We attended the game Friday night for my sons birthday. It was great. The only way we will be able to watch in the future is when they play the Rangers and We can watch it on FOX. Your question might be, “why would you subject yourself to such torture”, and that would be a fair question. But what I really want to talk about is how unfair this whole thing is. Literally every network is available in some sort of streaming TV package except, of cours, for AT&T sports net. I have friends from Chicago and they literally didn’t believe me that you can’t watch Pirates games in Pittsburgh unless you get a cable package. So ok, fine...you got me AT&T and Mr. Nutting, I’ll get your antiquated cable. Hey, at least there’s an app to stream it! Wait, no. Don’t do this to me! Verizon Fios and Comcast aren’t supported on the streaming service app. Ugh... ### 1/5 — App not for tablets apparently... *2019-06-02, version 2.0.1* This app seems to not work on a Tablet for some odd reason. First it says can’t establish location, I’m in my home in the Pittsburgh market, and after a couple tries it says reached the maximum number of allowable streams. It then says I may be streaming on another device. My other device is my phone but it’s not streaming the game. I uninstalled the app and still has not resolved the issue for the table. You have to login each and every time you use the app. The gameplay options are atrocious and there isn’t an app on smart tvs to watch so what do these people do? They don’t have an airplay option and when you try to do it on your phone, the app autorotates and interrupts the screen mirroring and keeps it from projecting to the tv. This is a trash app, provided by a trash provider, delivering a trash experience to the consumers. You have to log in each time you want to use the app. Just an overall terrible experience ### 1/5 — The WORST Streaming App Imaginable *2023-12-05* The entire app development team should be fired. Doesn’t integrate with apples ****BUILT IN**** TV provider sign in, so every time you open this app you have to resign in. Oh, and every time you switch apps for too long, or lock your screen, you have to sign in again. They don’t let you airplay, they don’t even let you use PiP (picture in picture). This app is the entire reason most people just resort to streaming elsewhere. Cable is $100/mo on the low end, most of the reason people still pay for it is Geo-Locked sports, and this is the best you can do? Its absolutely despicable. The app is slow, the UI is horrendous, and it works 60% of the time. Not only do i blame cable providers and sportsnet, but the Penguins organization should be ashamed that people have to rely on this terrible app to watch games if they are in city limits. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2023-11-15* If I could leave a 0 star review I would. There’s no option to remember a cable login so you have to log in every single time you open the app, even if it’s been 5 minutes during a commercial break. The user interface is horrible, there is absolutely no support for landscape controls, despite playing the game in landscape. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2022-07-16, version 2.0.13* I have a subscription for ATT SportsNet southwest. It will not allow me to sign in with my directv account despite providing the correct information. Every few months over the last three years I come back to check on this app. It still is having issues. It won’t let me login. When I was able to log in the app was blank. Or I would get a notification. Saying that my directv plan does not have SportsNet. I’ve contacted support. I have put in feedback. I also have been pretty patient when it comes to this app. I wish the sign in would get fix. I would like the “region” lock removed and we should be able to watch these games in the “legion”. Why is there no Apple TV app ? If the support team needs logs or someone to be the Guinea pig, I will be glad to help. I am constantly having issues with logging in. I have been able to login through the mlb app but I guess that has now been taken away. I pay loads of money for the service but can’t get logged in online. Even though I know my password the first time I go to login it says I have tried wrong to many times. Now I have to wait three weeks for a temporary password to be sent to me via usps. This is only a month after having to do this prior. I have HATED this app for a long time and have used it only because I have to in order to watch the jazz. The latest bug is the audio only plays the on court audio, instead of the broadcasting audio. You can only watch content on your phone or iPad. You can’t mirror your screen to an Apple TV. The sound will stream but the video will not. Seems ridiculous. Of course the app is not available for Apple TV either. So much for watching the Pens or Pirates when traveling. Can’t believe with all the options to consume live sports content that this app is so lacking.
