EG, elev 2130ft, QNH 1021. the correct answer based off the above calculation is 1890 however, the app says 1919. small differences now yes, but it then throws off the DH calculation making that around 30-40ft off from standard calculation method. aside this issue I have found, I absolutely love this app! ### 3/5 — Not awful, not great *2026-04-04, version 3.4.6* This app is simple and but not very effective. But it is greatly lacking in simple features and updates that would make it much more usable. Simple things like being able to add a picture to a weight & balance profile. So I can easily reference the aircraft’s CG limits. Lots of other ideas have been suggested and ignored. App has not been updated in years… maybe look somewhere else ### 4/5 — Great app *2026-02-04, version 3.4.6* I’m not an actual pilot, but I do a lot of simulation flying and I use this app all the time, it has a lot of good information. ### 2/5 — Terrible *2026-01-25, version 3.4.6* It’s great for having some pre made tables, but it’s super difficult to navigate and find the answers that you need as many of the terms don’t match what you’re actually trying to to find. ### 4/5 — No minuses? Otherwise, it's ok *2026-01-06, version 3.4.6* The temp is minus 13° C today. What is that in Fahrenheit? Who knows, because this calculator doesn't allow you to use minuses. Otherwise, I use it occasionally to do quick crosswind and other calculations. It can come in handy but it has its limitations. ### 2/5 — Not the Best Option Out There *2025-11-15, version 3.4.6* It wasn’t worth it to me. Sure, it worked, but the keyboard gets in the way and it’s not as intuitive or as capable that a digital flight computer should be. It was a little extra, but I spent the money for the one from the same folks who make more traditional products, and have for longer, and it’s a better product overall. Leg time in tenths of an hour as well as mm:ss would be nice. I don’t know if it’s the calculation or Sporty’s ground school quiz answers are wrong. I got a different answer (off by 20 feet) when calculating density altitude. I enter the data but it produces nothing but zeros on the right side. This is a new issue. I hadn't previously had this issue seen it until about a week ago. ### 3/5 — Sports E6B. Has at least one bug *2024-01-28, version 3.4.5* Version 3.4.5 when finding density altitude the App fills in the answer (appears to be correct) but when the = sign is pressed an incorrect answer is displayed. This one. Unless you plug in a profile for a specific aircraft. Just downloaded and paid for this app as a companion to the Sporty’s Lean to Fly lesson on the E6B calculator. A while back, I updated the app, then opened it to see what was new. Not only did they take away the weight and balance tool, which was one of my selling points for buying the app, they changed the pressure altitude tool to not accept certain numbers. For example, if the altimeter setting for a given airport is 30.02, you would either have to round down to 30.00 or round up to 30.1 because it will not allow you to type a zero after the decimal and type another number afterward, rendering this function useless for certain pressures that do occur. ### 1/5 — Used to have w&b now it doesn’t. What a waste of $10 ### 1/5 — Important Conversion Functions Missing *2016-09-23, version 2.3.1* Cannot believe that this app won't allow you to convert between JetA1 litres, pounds and kg! Similarly with Avgas conversions and many other conversion types. Incredibly, you can do all of this and much more using a basic calculator app such as PowerOneSE! In fact, PowerOneSE (& I suspect many other calculators) does a better job than Sporty's E6B in almost every calculation. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Worth the price *2026-06-26, version 3.4.6* Very convenient app, I especially like that you can enter values on either side of the equation instead of having to open a new function.
