### 2/5 — Not accurate?

*2026-07-25, version 5.2.5*

Used the app for years but in the past couple months it’s like the app stopped showing the days I had my period. Normally, it has red dots on the calendar days of when you had a flow, but when I opened the app all of the red dots were gone going back to months. Like it stopped keeping track of all my logged periods. I had to move over to a new app.

### 2/5 — Not so good results

*2026-05-14, version 5.2.5*

I’ve been using this app for the past 4 years! At first the first 2 years was good but after that everything started to be unreliable! The period tracker does not track the way it needs to be tracking, even if I update my information it’s not even 60% right! I like it but I’m ready for a new change!

### 3/5 — period tracker stopped working

*2026-03-31, version 5.2.5*

The period tracker won’t save the dates I pick for my period. It only highlights what the app predicted. Every time I update a day with my flow it says “this is not when we predicted your period to start. Please update on calander.” But when I try to do that, the red circles don’t save on the dates I put. This has been my only issue and it is at least a 2 month old issue.

### 2/5 — Used to be my fav period tracker app

*2026-03-21, version 5.2.5*

I’ve been trying to enjoy this app but recently they updated it to even if you’re not on your period it marks that you are on your period, even after saying you aren’t. I’m not a fan anymore. If you’re seriously trying to track your period and ovulation periods , I wouldn’t recommend this app.

### 2/5 — Used to work great

*2026-02-26, version 5.2.5*

Half the time I can’t open the app, it just queues. It used to send notifications for my period and doesn’t anymore

### 3/5 — Meh…

*2026-02-26, version 5.2.5*

Hey there, I am the one who emailed you about the ad-like pop-up appearing every time I log my period. This message is telling me if I am a newcomer, but I am not; I have been using Spot On since 2024!

I know it is hard to wait that long for you to fix this issue, but I am good at waiting patiently for future updates/bug fixes. If this pop-up is still there when I try to log my period in your next update, I will either send you another letter or write/edit another review.

I also have a suggestion that should add several more languages such as French, Korean (my phone’s language is set in this language), Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Japanese.

### 3/5 — Used to be five stars

*2026-02-16, version 5.2.5*

This app has gotten so buggy. Thank you for fixing the bazillion notifications that would occur at one time. But now I’m getting prompts about when my period started while I’m ON my period and have already gone through the trouble of editing my period as the app has asked vs just choosing bleeding for the day. Also, please give us back a customizable emoji or other things to track. I need to track other related things like clotting for example. You used to let us choose one custom emoji and tracking item. I would appreciate that option again. I do love how you don’t go overboard in expectations like having a notes section or too many things to pick from. That’s why even though I really want more, just one emoji again would be enough. When things are overwhelming like with most apps and there’s so much to fill out, I just avoid using them. That’s one reason I love love love your app and have used it since it came out. Thank you for making and maintaining it.

### 2/5 — Love it but notifications don’t work

*2026-02-02, version 5.2.4*

Glad to have a period tracker that doesn’t sell my data, but since the last update, I only get notifications when I open the app. And then, I get a handful at a time that seemed like they are out of date. If you are wondering whether to download this app, you should do it. Just know that you might not be getting notifications correctly until the next update.

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2026-01-29, version 5.2.4*

This app used to be reliable. But lately, even though I have notifications on, it still will not remind me to take my pill. I’ve tried toggling notifications on and off, changing the time, etc. and still it will not notify me unless I open up the app and then all of a sudden the notifications all pop up. Not reliable.

### 2/5 — not giving reminders anymore

*2026-01-28, version 5.2.4*

this app has been very helpful for me to remember to take my birth control, but randomly i would say in the last few or so weeks it doesn’t give me a reminder to take it anymore . and when i open the app it spams me with like 10 notifications to take it and reminders about my period. i really hope they fix that because i don’t want to lose all my data

### 2/5 — Birth Control Reminders Don’t Work

*2026-01-28, version 5.2.4*

I got this app when my PP provider recommended it to me as a birth control reminder, since I have to take it the same time every day. The alarm has never once worked. I’ve tried setting it to different times, making sure notifications are allowed.. nothing. I only ever get a pop-up notification when I enter the app that’s just a pill emoji. It works fine as a tracker and log, just don’t use it for alarms/notifications, which was the whole reason I got this app to begin with.

### 2/5 — Glitches with recent update

*2026-01-26, version 5.2.4*

This app worked great until the most recent update. I can no longer adjust my period dates on the calendar, as the “save” button has disappeared, so all of my dates are now off with no way to correct/edit them. The link to app support goes to a Page Not Found with no redirect.

### 2/5 — notifications stopped working

*2026-01-26, version 5.2.4*

after updating the app, i no longer receive my scheduled notifications. however every time i manually open the app, it spams me with 7 notifications all at once displaying every possible alert (period coming, period starting, fertile day coming, pill reminder, etc). not sure how to fix this since deleting the app will delete all my data. it’s not the biggest issue since i remember to take my pill daily but it’s definitely an inconvenience

### 2/5 — Used to work great

*2026-01-19, version 5.2.4*

This used to be a nice functional app. Most days, I’d record my flow as “none” to “heavy.” This morning I opened my app and saw that the calendar display had changed to display red dots on almost ALL my days. Whenever I entered my flow as “none,” the calendar now displays a big red dot as if I’d entered it as “heavy.” The calendar is now useless, unless I manually go through and remove my “none” entry for most of the days.

I think I’ll go back to using a paper calendar.

### 1/5 — All Red Now

*2026-01-15, version 5.2.4*

After recent update it keeps giving me like 9 notifications over and over when I open the app. But most importantly, literally all my tracked days became red. So it’s pointless now that I can’t go back know when I got my period last… I’ve only had the app for 2.5 months.

### 3/5 — Deleted all my data

*2026-01-14, version 5.2.4*

I love(d) this period tracker, but I opened it this morning and while it seemed a little buggy, I thought it was normal. Come to find that once I rechecked the account, all my tracking and account data was gone and I’m having to start from scratch. This is extremely frustrating to deal with, especially as a woman who needs a reliable pill and period tracker.

### 1/5 — Lost all data

*2025-11-28, version 5.2.3*

Lost all data on new update…it used to be a good app

### 1/5 — All data deleted

*2025-11-17, version 5.2.3*

I wish that there was a warning that all of my data would be deleted after I updated to the most recent version. The app is no longer useful to me as I no longer have access to the three years’ worth of vital information related to my period. I will be deleting the app.

### 1/5 — Not Spot On

*2025-11-15, version 5.2.3*

I thought this was a safer alternative to tracking my period through Apple. But it tells me my period should be earlier than it actually is, a week or more earlier. Gives me a heart attack I’m pregnant!Very disappointing since this app is built by Planned Parenthood.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just ok

*2026-08-14, version 5.2.5*

I’ve used several period tracking apps. The other two I used had more options for tracking and notes to add, which I really liked. But they ended up losing all my data which was insanely frustrating.
This one is pretty basic, but it hasn’t lost all my data yet, so that’s helpful.
I will say that even though it can tell me that my average cycle length is 28 days, it predicts that my cycle will start several days before it actually should? I can count the days on there myself and figure it out, but since the app is supposed to do that for you… it should be able to do simple math? Not sure what the issue is there.
It works for what I need it for, but like I said I mainly just look at the calendar and count the days and log my symptoms to see if there’s a correlation or anything.

### 1/5 — Keeps saying is this your first day? It’s not the day we predicted and it’s very annoying

*2026-07-21, version 5.2.5*

.

### 1/5 — Smh

*2026-06-26, version 5.2.5*

This app use to be so good, then they started making improvements and after that it went downhill from updating the app and it not opening to every time I log my cycle it’s asking me if it’s my first day every time to every time I upgrade my phone, it won’t let me in. I currently can’t get on because I had to upgrade my phone.

### 1/5 — Worst period tracker I’ve used

*2026-04-03, version 5.2.5*

I’ve literally never written an app review before but the frustration of using this app has pushed me to finally do so. The app is terrible at predicting when your period actually starts unlike other period trackers I’ve used. It always ends up tricking me into thinking that my period is late which has given me a lot of anxiety over the past few years that I’ve used it. Speaking of, I don’t think they’ve updated the look or functionality in the whole time I’ve used it. Editing the timing of your period is frustrating and clunky. Shouldn’t it just know that you’ve started your cycle when you enter the corresponding bleeding emoji? I can see how some people might use it to track unnatural flow or spotting but I guess it’s just not for me. I also think the system of using emojis is kind of dumb and childish. Hopefully they update it at some point but for now, I’ll be looking for another period trackers that’s more convenient to use.

### 1/5 — Used to work great

*2026-03-28, version 5.2.5*

The app used to work great, but over the last few months the tracking feature has been inaccurate and difficult to adjust. I’m strongly considering switching to a different period tracker. Another thing, the developers of the app suggest that folks who leave negative reviews here use the “contact support” button on the account page but when I tried to do that the button straight up didn’t work.

### 1/5 — Used to be amazing

*2026-03-16, version 5.2.5*

I have been using this app for years and it was amazing but I started realizing that any time i went to log a period it would ask me “is this your first day?” even if I was already on day 3. It annoyed me a bit but what really made me delete the app was the fact that I got a new phone and when I went to launch the app it would open but have a blue screen with a spinning circle. I thought if I deleted it and reinstalled it would fix it. It did… Until I realized it erased all of my past data and there’s no log back in feature. I guess I’m going to have to find a new app :/

### 1/5 — Used to work

*2026-02-20, version 5.2.5*

The app worked great until about a month or two ago. Now, everyday shows up red like I’m on my menstruating everyday. This is obviously not helpful for tracking purposes. I submitted a help ticket to the developers and they assured me the glitch would be fixed. No change. If you need a reliable track app don’t use this one.

### 1/5 — Used to be good, now absolutely buggin

*2026-02-05, version 5.2.5*

My predictions and my past logs are all messed up and wrong after a fairly recent update. Theres no way to fix it or reset it or anything. Guess I'll just track it in my planner 🤷‍♀️

### 1/5 — I’m confused

*2026-02-03, version 5.2.5*

I used this app for many many years and it was great, lots of features and reasonably accurate predictions. Around 2020ish they did a big overhaul and removed most features and deleted user data. I was upset to have lost so many years of tracking but figured as long as I can put dots on the calendar to record my periods it’s still worth using. Multiple updates since then have deleted my data again. I don’t understand why updates delete user data and why they can’t fix it.

Lately when I try to edit my periods nothing happens. I edit, press the save button, and the dots I made disappear. Sometimes I can find my period dates by clicking each day to see “cycle day” but now it will just delete the cycle when I close the app. No matter how many times I edit my period it just deletes my information and logs my period on whatever days it wants. I’ve turned off period prediction but it still does this.

All I want is an app that lets me put red dots on a calendar. I don’t understand why they can’t make this app functional.

### 1/5 — What happened???

*2026-01-22, version 5.2.4*

This app used to be amazing! I haven’t been on in a couple days and this morning I opened it and the app’s a mess! Constant banner notifications at the top of the screen, days marked ‘none’ suddenly all highlighted red when before only period days were highlighted red. It’s impossible to tell which days were period days without opening the menu for each individual day. It keeps bouncing around menus I didn’t even tell it to open! What is going on???

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app so far!

*2026-04-15, version 5.2.5*

I have tried many tracking apps, most of them sucked you i had to pay to get the things i wanted. This is a lifesaver

### 5/5 — Best thing ever

*2024-03-23, version 5.1.2*

Ok so I got my period September 12th and I didn’t get my period until January. I’m okay now but somehow the app knew the exact day I was gonna get my period. Absolute magic!🪄

### 5/5 — Best, no gimmicks, period app

*2024-03-16, version 5.1.2*

I am very impressed with this app. It is totally free, no ads, and they never try to make you pay for a subscription like a lot of the other apps do. With that being said, it is a little more bare bones than some of the other apps, but I like how simple it is. My only complaint is that since the last update I have been getting notifications to take my pill and then when I click it to open the app it says I have to come back later to log that I took the pill which is rather annoying.

### 5/5 — The ONLY app I keep up with

*2020-11-01, version 3.6.0*

No hyperbole: THE BEST PERIOD APP. This is the only app I will actually open and keep up with. It interferes the least with my life and day with just enough. It captures all of the data I want with basic clicks of emojis. I’m so much more likely to just press emojis. I don’t know why. I don’t know how they thought of this. It sounds silly but after years and years, it’s the only thing that I’ve kept up with. It’s simple and somehow has told me more about my cycle than anything else. The data it gives me is so amazingly accurate?! It’s seriously so good. I can add emojis and things for my own stuff and track things to see if it’s my hormones acting up or emotions to address on my own in therapy so it’s also become my mood tracker. My friend used it to remind herself to replace her IUD. I don’t need birth control, but the features for someone who does look really cool. I freaking love this thing. I’ve used it for a couple years and LOVE IT.

### 5/5 — Data came back after update

*2020-04-12, version 3.3*

UPDATE: I’m so happy my data came back! I was also able to successfully make an account. I definitely still favor the old layout more but the most important things are fixed. I find this app incredibly useful when it’s working properly so I’m happy I can continue using it. They also responded to my emails and showed great customer service.

I’d used this app for probably the past 2-3 years or so almost daily until the update earlier this month where it deleted all of my saved data. I can’t remember when I got my IUD anymore and years of information I tracked is gone. I’ve sent two emails requesting help with no response back. I liked the old layouts simplicity and ease of it and the cute messages/facts it would show after you submitted daily. It was aesthetically pleasing and easy to use and this new one is the opposite. I tried to give this new update a shot and start from scratch, and it wouldn’t let me make an account/kept giving me error messages. So I’ve tried to ‘continue without account’ and there’s no way to actually input the information. It’s just odd, completely ruined a great app. Such a shame, I hope they fix it soon or better yet just restore it to the old one

### 5/5 — used to be great, now i’m screwed

*2020-03-14, version 3.2*

i am on the ring, and i have been using this app for almost a year. it used to be perfect for tracking my cycle and my birth control, but this new update has thrown everything off. i was set on a 3-week schedule with my ring, and all of a sudden when i tried to log that i had removed my ring at the designated time, it said i needed to put it back in even though my period had started... turns out, it switched me to a 4-week schedule without telling me, and then on saturday it told me it was time to replace my ring, even though 1.) it told me not to take out the original one and i am supposed to go a week ring-free 2.) my new ring cycle is supposed to begin on SUNDAY. for anyone who knows how nuva rings work, this seemingly minor mistake can be detrimental.

but the absolute worst part was that when i opened the app this morning, all my data was GONE. i have lost MONTHS of data and tracking and i have no idea what to do because this used to be the best app by FAR for people on the ring... so thanks a lot.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2019-10-26, version 2.9*

I use this app to track my period. After an unexpected visit from Aunt Flo at a parent teacher conference (I am a student of middle school), due to forgetting to mark the calendar, I decided I need to find an easier way to keep track.
I looked through many other apps, and this one I found the best for me. This is a very minimalist-ish design, keeping it simple and easy to understand. This app has the resources and some research pages for you to learn more about what you are going through, and daily reviews about how heavy your flow was, what your moods were, and even more. I find that this does not ask for any unnecessary information that alarms me, and it goes forward to track your next period estimation instead of you having to do it manually.
I hope this review helps you, and I am terribly sorry for not having any more information to review on, but you can see that I am not trying to get pregnant or am having sex in middle school, so that’s good. 😅🙃😅

### 5/5 — I LOVE THIS APP 💕

*2019-08-14, version 2.9*

This app is amazing! I never ever forget to take my birth control pills EVER, because this app reminds me everyday at the same time that I chose. I love that it tracks my period, so I’m always aware of when I’m going to start so I can keep a tampon with me. I love the fact that everyday I can put in how my body is feeling and if I slept well and what moods I’m in for the day, so that if something ever happens, I can go back and see what my symptoms were. I also love that your information can be kept PRIVATE if you want to. You can put a password, so that when you click the app, you won’t be able to access it unless you use your fingerprint and/or your password. Love that option. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app! You won’t regret it! It also lets you know if you missed a pill at all and it gives you all the information you need on the app if you have ANY questions! NO customer service needed!

### 5/5 — Incredibly Helpful

*2019-04-14, version 2.8.2*

I’ve been using this app for I don’t even know how long. I’ve never had a “normal” cycle or period, ever since my very first one almost hospitalized me. I’ve never been very good at guessing when my period would come because it was so irregular. I downloaded this app to track my period and then I started using all of its awesome features. I started using this app before I was sexually active simply for the help it offered.
I tried many kinds of period control and almost nothing wanted to work for me but this app helped me keep track of everything I tried and the different ways it affected me. I recently got an IUD put in after much hesitation (the first time I tried the IUD it fell out on its own after a week and a half.) So far its been excellent in helping me track my periods, fertile days and moods. Now that I am sexually active it is so helpful also with keeping track of when I’ve had sex!
I love all the the features it offers and the helpful information. They are always adding new features and other important improvements to the app.
I recommend this app to every person with a uterus!

### 5/5 — It’s amazingly useful

*2018-08-18, version 2.7.2*

It has settings where you can get reminders on when you’re supposed to get your period, when to take your birth control, when you’re next appointment is, and when certain symptoms should happen. Plus if you have any questions over your method of birth control, there is an FAQ, which is very helpful. Another plus is that you can track your mood, body feelings, actions, and your period. You can ever pick the emojis for each symptom, action, or mood. This app is very helpful with keeping up with both control, tracking your period and period symptoms, remembering your appointment dates, and can easily help birth control beginners get into the habit of taking it. You can even insert when you’re sexually active and it can tell you when you’re fertile and if you need to use a backup protection and why you should(such as a condom). It is a very well thought out and modern app that is very very useful and is even free?! Definitely recommend to download.
