Mind you, I booked apartments in various cities and ALL of them were “booked” for the dates even though they appeared on Spotahome as available. Your best bet is to look elsewhere because it’s giving scam. ### 2/5 — Read Incredibly Carefully *2025-12-12, version 19.99.148* Lost money canceling a book partially for not being careful on the booking and partially for the confusing added fees and multiple links I had to read through to understand all the added fees and what a refund entailed. The landlords and spotahome charge LARGE fees that aren’t refundable. When I was trying to cancel I was barely getting a reply until I sent multiple messages through multiple venues BUT they were quick to reply to me when I was still trying to book on their app a different place. Also, it is not possible to filter out landlord fee, I’m not paying double the price for the studio that I’m renting for one month. Also, turns out their commission is almost 40%, that’s crazy. After I discovered that, I immediately deleted the application. They suggested me to pay 388 Euros of fees for the monthly rent of an apartment of €1000. ### 1/5 — Don’t use this app *2025-09-20, version 19.99.136* I was a tenant trying to rent a house in Belgium , but after I completed my payment, the whole experience made my life here miserable. I couldn’t contact my landlord so I couldn’t check in, I was dumped in Belgium and with all of my luggage, this is like a scam app, hope there is no anyone being scammed again ### 1/5 — Bad service *2025-09-19, version 19.99.136* I tried to book, but they have very bad rules for people with allergies and expect you to book blindly at full risk for yourself. The service is bad and doesn’t really help and look for solutions only offers more expensive apartments that you have to pay and book before seeing them, without any reference. Despite sending proof, messages, and a full report, Spotahome never replied — not by email, not by WhatsApp. This is unacceptable. No protection, no responsibility, no help. Site web et application à fuir ! ⚠️ ### 3/5 — Mejora en diseño UX *2025-08-01, version 19.99.104* La aplicación en si funciona bien, te enseña los pisos en una zona concreta, los filtros funcionan correctamente. El punto negativo es su comportamiento en la experiencia de usuario. Al tocar el icono de ver la ubicación dentro de la página del inmueble, no puedes volver hacia atrás, aspecto que resulta incómodo ya que te obliga a cerrar y a volver a abrir la aplicación perdiendo la página del inmueble. Lo mismo ocurre cuando le das a ver el plano en planta de la casa. The apartment I booked had a strong musty smell, including the bedding and the air in the room, making it very unpleasant to stay there. The condition was not what I expected based on the listing. What made the experience even worse was the lack of proper support when I reported the problem. I expected a booking platform to take these issues seriously and help resolve them, but getting assistance was extremely difficult. I would not recommend Spotahome. Be very careful when booking, because if something goes wrong, don’t expect a quick or helpful response from customer support. ### 1/5 — Unsuccessful and high fees *2026-07-05, version 19.99.181* I gave this app a try in Spain but every property refused my billing because they were already booked off of this platform. Most properties seem to be on idealista and are more than happy to work directly with you instead of through Spotahome. The apartment had serious ongoing issues from the first day: constant power outages, no stable Wi-Fi, and severe limitations that made normal use of the apartment impossible. It was not a functional place to stay. We reported the problems immediately within the 24-hour window as required by Spotahome’s own policy. Despite this, there was no real support, no urgency, and no intervention at any point during our stay. For several days, we were left dealing directly with the landlord while staying in an apartment that clearly did not match the advertised conditions. The advertised “support and protection” simply did not exist in practice. The assistance was effectively zero from start to finish. I would strongly caution others to think twice before relying on Spotahome in situations where real customer support matters ### 1/5 — Warning: I lost €1500 using Spotahome – DO NOT TRUST THEM *2025-11-23, version 19.99.148* I had a terrible experience with Spotahome and I feel the need to warn others. I booked a place through Spotahome and paid €861. The apartment was completely different from what was shown. I was put in the wrong room and felt scammed from the first moment. Because of that, I had to cancel the booking and leave. Spotahome claimed they would return the money, but instead they transferred €550 + €311 in fees to the landlord. I have not received any refund, and they are just ignoring me or giving useless responses. It’s been a long time now, and my only hope is the bank that I used for payment. I also lost nearly €600 on flights and trains, trying to fix the situation, and I didn’t sleep for two nights because I had no proper place to stay. In total, I lost over €1500 in just 3 days because of Spotahome and the landlord they worked with. Be very careful. This platform does not protect you. They act like they care, but once they have your money — they disappear. DO NOT trust Spotahome. My honest recommendation is to avoid using their “guaranteed” service. It’s not guaranteed at all. No vale para nada, es una estafa para gente que viene de fuera. Todo siempre es a su favor. Ponen fotos engañosas. Los lugares que les alquilé tenían problemas de diferente tipo. Me la paso reclamando. Alquilé una habitación a través de esta plataforma confiando en su “filtro de verificación” y pagando tanto su comisión como el primer mes de alquiler. Todo parecía en regla, hasta que al llegar al piso mis propios compañeros me advirtieron de que el inmueble estaba en pleno proceso judicial entre el supuesto arrendador y el propietario real. Poco después, todos recibieron una carta certificada del juzgado de Múnich notificando que habían sido denunciados por el propietario legítimo. Tras investigar, descubrí lo más grave: el anunciante, que Spotahome había “verificado”, llevaba meses sin pagar al dueño del piso. Porqué no habían renovado el contrato. Aún así tras 9 meses en que el anunciante no pagaba, ¡Spotahome seguía anunciando habitaciones de este! Lo indignante es que ahora me veo arrastrado a una situación legal delicada por haber confiado en la supuesta seguridad de Spotahome. Y cuando pedí ayuda y reembolso, la respuesta fue vergonzosa: se escudaron en que no reclamé nada en las primeras 24 horas, ¡como si uno pudiera prever una notificación judicial que llegó 8 días después del inicio del contrato! En definitiva: Spotahome no protege al inquilino, no responde cuando hay problemas serios y se lava las manos en cuanto puede. Ojalá esta reseña sirva de advertencia: no se fíen de sus supuestas garantías de verificación, porque lo que prometen y lo que entregan son dos mundos distintos. ### 1/5 — Sono dei veri e propri truffatori *2025-09-23, version 19.99.136* Piattaforma pessima, un’esperienza da incubo. Ho prenotato una stanza a Valencia tramite Spotahome e al mio arrivo ho trovato una situazione completamente diversa da quella pubblicizzata: la stanza era minuscola, sporca, maleodorante, senza ventilazione e assolutamente NON conforme alle foto e alla descrizione sull’annuncio. Prima di partire avevo contattato l’agenzia partner indicata da Spotahome chiedendo se fosse necessario aggiornare la data di arrivo. Mi hanno risposto di no, che bastava presentarmi in ufficio. Al mio arrivo il 13/09 ho trovato la casa in condizioni indegne e ho subito inviato foto e prove. Spotahome ha rifiutato qualsiasi rimborso, scaricando la responsabilità sul cliente e negando le proprie colpe, nonostante fosse chiaro che l’alloggio fosse diverso da quello pubblicizzato. È una piattaforma che non tutela minimamente i consumatori, collabora con agenzie poco trasparenti e poi si lava le mani. Per me si tratta di una vera e propria TRUFFA.
