## What is Spotbuds?

SpotBud helps you find someone to train with.

FIND YOUR SPOT
Swipe through people who train near you, filtered by what you're actually working on — weight loss, muscle gain, powerlifting, endurance, CrossFit and more. When you both tap Spot Me, you're connected and can start planning your first session.

DISCOVER WHAT'S NEARBY
An interactive map of gyms, fitness events, group hikes, running routes and community challenges around you. Filter by activity, date, distance and price, or sort by what's nearest, soonest or cheapest. Find a 6am run club, a weekend trail hike, or a lifting meetup you didn't know existed.

YOUR AI TRAINER
Build a full training week by describing it in plain words — "Monday legs, Tuesday push, Wednesday rest" — and SpotBud shows you exactly what it understood before it builds anything. Your trainer learns your goals, your equipment and your schedule, and checks in after your workouts.

By default your AI trainer runs on your iPhone or iPad using Apple Intelligence, so its replies are written on your device. Your chat history is saved to your SpotBud account so it follows you across devices, and you can clear it anytime in Settings. If you connect your own ChatGPT key instead, your messages are sent to OpenAI.

TRACK EVERYTHING
Log workouts set by set. Scan a meal with your camera for a nutrition breakdown you can edit. Track your weight over time. Steps, active energy, sleep and workouts sync from Apple Health automatically.

STREAKS, LEVELS AND CHALLENGES
Hit 10,000 steps to build a streak. Level up as you train. Join step and workout challenges against friends or the wider community, climb the leaderboard, and collect trophies for the ones you win.

STAY CONNECTED
Share your progress on the feed, comment on your friends' sessions, message your training partners, and add your workout playlist to your profile so people know what you lift to.

WIDGETS
Put your step leaderboard, calories, or workout calendar right on your Home Screen.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-07

Fixes a crash that could happen when opening the Find tab on some iPhones.

New in this update:
• Rest timer. A countdown starts after each set and between exercises, with a quick mascot countdown for the last 5 seconds. Pick the length on each exercise, or set it in My Workouts.
• Apple Watch shows your rest countdown and taps your wrist for the last 5 seconds.
• Tell us your training level, from beginner to pro, and your rests fit you: 1 to 2 minutes for beginners, up to 5 for advanced lifters.
• AI Trainer workout cards now come with rest times.
• Deleting your data or your account now asks "Are you sure?" first.
• Smoother update screens when your phone is sideways, and a cleaner edge on the Feed's side menu.
