SpotHero offers a lot of convenience. For example, I like the feature where i indicate an event I’m attending and it offers parking options nearby. But don’t be fooled! I was offered an option that closed at 7 PM even though my event would clearly go much later than that. And if you expect that SpotHero will offer a refund when the screw up like this, you’ve got another thing coming. There are plenty of parking apps - find one that values the customer experience.

SpotHero has been working great normally. But a few days ago, when the code was not working, and I followed the instructions to call SpotHero support first. The customer representative was rude and could not help in any way. Terrible experience.

Prices change by the minute of looking at the app as if they’re a selling stock.  It’s UNUSED parking spaces.  You can only adjust times by 30min increments. Cant arrive early. If you leave 1 minute late you receive a ticket. Yet due to the 30min time blocks they set, you could arrive 20min into your parking and leave 2 min late and you’ll still get a ticket.

I always use Spot Hero when I want to secure parking. The app is easy to use, I can easily find a parking spot close to where I want to and I get a good price.

I booked a parking spot for $25.  When we got there the lot was full.  No spaces.  Had to find another place.  SpotHero policy is that I pay another garage and submit a receipt.  Ant reputable business simply issues a refund.  WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS

This is the second time I’ve booked parking through SpotHero well in advance, only to show up and be turned away.

Tonight I had a $19.13 reservation at 1023 Mission St. in San Francisco that I booked about a month ago. I showed the attendant my valid reservation and he just kept yelling, “Cancel, cancel, cancel.” I eventually found parking elsewhere, but it cost me $46.

SpotHero refunded the original reservation, but that doesn’t really help when I’m still out the extra money. The same thing happened to me earlier this year at 35 Laskie St.

At the very least, if a garage can’t honor reservations, someone should notify you before you arrive. I’m giving SpotHero one star because twice now I’ve had reservations that turned out to be meaningless.
