It’s buggy. Literally one of the worst app I have to use daily. The developer should feel ashamed. I could do better vibe coding it. ### 1/5 — The worst app I have ever been forced to rely on *2026-02-25* The only thing this app does on my phone is to make notifications that new shifts on offer have been posted at the catering hall I freelance at. And the alerts don’t link me to those shifts that have opened up. I have to sign in on a computer just to manually scroll through the calendar to see if the date or my name pops up. Emails from the booker regarding specific shifts alert me to the dates on offer. The app fails at: •Showing me my upcoming work schedule •new shifts on offer •whether my request has been fulfilled or denied There is a Dashboard on the online version that shows what shifts I requested, but not whether they’ve been booked or not. It also has a list of new shifts on offer, but DOESN’T SHOW THE DATES OF WHEN THEY ARE. And this is on the website, good luck finding any of this info readily available on the app. I’ve sent this feedback to the booker to pass along to the developer, and several months later, nothing has changed. It’s so horrible it seems to intentionally be “designed” with contempt. Oh, but it will always show when my coworkers’ birthdays are front and center, which, frankly, is no one’s business. I have never despised an app more than this one. ### 1/5 — Glitches that cause reinstalling *2026-02-15, version 2.2.4* App is packed with glitches that may require an entire reinstall to fix. Extremely annoying as a head chef managing a team of employees. God forbid you ever accidentally press quick pin login. Always results in a mandatory reinstallation of the app. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2026-02-03, version 2.2.4* UI is completely unusable. The app is just the website put into an app making it completely unusable. It refreshes to the main page every single time you exit and enter the app. The app is literally together by popsicle sticks. The pop up text warnings are editable. It doesn’t end, this app needs a major refresh ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-01-10* I’m a manager using teamwork and this app is terrible. It is so out dated and clunky. The “old” updated app that you have now discontinued was at least functional for the employees and made it easy to see tips, hours, shifts, trade/swapping was easy - it did lack the functionality for managers but I could log into the website for that but was hopeful a manager version would come out but then that app was deleted and we reverted back to the stone ages. Reverting back to this app is terrible. It loads everything too large to work on an iPhone 16, it reloads way to often, you can’t use passwords app to automatically log in because it doesn’t recognize the app as “Dolce Clock” and doesn’t even have the option for biometric log in. Nothing is user friendly or easy, approving tips/hours is almost impossible. The app needs to be junked and started from scratch. ### 1/5 — Worst app in existence *2025-12-06* Started a new job and the people who have the old app looks like it’s WAY better. I have an iPhone mini and I can’t even see everything on my screen. Everything is difficult to use and refreshes every 2 seconds. I also can’t have my password saved so I have to type it out every single time I want to sign in. I’m a UI designer and have absolutely no clue how this was approved to go online in the state it’s in. Can’t even download the old version. Are you kidding me? This sh*y makes me have to check every day ### 1/5 — Almost Unusable UI *2025-10-14* So you can’t open messages and the start page is always the clock-in feature (who clocks in from their personal device these days?), the layout of the full day and full week schedules is an eyesore, and on top of that the page reloads whenever you so much as pull down from the top of the screen to open other notifications? *And* you can’t even stay signed in? How about pay someone decent to come in and rework literally everything. I’m forced to use this garbage app. And the only one I like is being shut down. Bruh. Please dot something!! When do I even work? *2025-07-21* First you can’t contact people off the daily schedule anymore for easy contact or job cover requests. Also it no longer shows the days off you have in the week nor does it say what day it is so you constantly have to figure out what day it is and wait for it to refresh since you “swiped out of the app”. The constant refreshing is also annoying ash. I actually hate it. Should have kept it how it is but updated the graphics like it is. You will never open your schedule on the proper day, scrolling through the shifts day to day lags, the app refreshes constantly, coworkers experience daily log-outs from the app, your schedule doesn’t come up immediately if you had been scrolling ahead through the weeks, employees struggle to pick up other shifts through the app. Just an annoyance and would prefer an email rather to opening the app. ### 1/5 — Absolutely the worst *2026-06-29, version 2.4.0* Moebeerman ### 1/5 — Awful app for phone *2026-06-21, version 2.4.0* The app feels like using a website that is meant for a computer only. Does not fit to screen for phone, extremely slow loading every page, tipping out coworkers via teamwork app is an absolute nightmare. Been using it for 3+ years as a server and they’ve made next to no progress in making it more user friendly. Also another frustration is that they haven’t made it Face ID/ passkey accessible for log in, so I have to type in my username and password every time I want to use the app/ check my schedule. Option to ‘keep logged in’ doesn’t actually work or is very short term (might keep you logged in if you open the app again after an hour, but not all the time- highly inconsistent) ### 1/5 — Slow *2026-06-12, version 2.4.0* Extremely slow regardless of what internet you’re on. ### 1/5 — Sketchy AF *2026-06-03, version 2.4.0* As a bartender, I’m unable to see how much tip out I receive from servers, it’s lumped into my total tips. Signs you out constantly, tabs take forever to load and constantly refresh, and you can’t update your original availability, you have to make an entirely new one. If you go out of the app while making the new availability, even just a “swipe up” on iOS, it reloads and all of your tedious work on an app that barely registers your touches when making the availability is gone. It’s like this was never made to be on mobile. Just use 7Shifts. I wish it allowed a user to stay logged in so it’s easier to quickly view my schedule. ### 3/5 — Needs to be optimized for iPhones with Dynamic Island *2024-05-28, version 2.0.5* As the title states, the current UI is good, but the top bar is abysmal to use on newer iPhones. ### 3/5 — Much potential, but so far to go… *2023-05-10* I really like the ability to see tip outs and actual punches, and push notices for break periods are amazing. However, it lacks the intuitive UX that When I Work offers. So much so that despite the additional features of SpotOn, I would go back to WIW in a heartbeat if my employer was using both. Navigating to messages and customizing alerts is so clunky, it looks like it was designed as web based software ported to phone. I’m not trying to be snarky, it’s genuinely clumsy to use and contains confusing language that might make sense to the programmers, but not to end users. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of calendar sync for iPhone, it’s 2023, I shouldn’t have to input my work schedule manually! For an app focused on the service industry this is a huge miss, my schedule is inconsistent week to week as is the case with most others in the industry as well. ### 2/5 — Functional at Best *2026-01-04* This app needs a lot of work. The overall feel is clunky and outdated. I’m using an iPhone 16 and the interface doesn’t seem to account for that, since the top of each screen gets cut off by the rounded corners of my phone. They released an update to keep you logged in longer but I still find myself constantly logging back in. I would prefer an option to stay logged in indefinitely, or at the very least once a week. I suppose it wouldn’t matter as much to me if I could use Face ID to log in quicker. It seems like they’re still actively working on this app but it’s a long way from competitors like 7shifts. I hope the developers have the time and resources to really modernize everything. ### 2/5 — Good features, poor performance *2025-10-12* I've been using this app for about two months now for work, and unfortunately, it has many flaws. First, the app takes a long time to load when opening. If I check my notifications during login or switch apps for even a few seconds, I get an "error" message and have to re-enter my company information. It logs me out completely, which is frustrating and time-consuming. Second, the app runs very slowly and crashes often, especially when I'm trying to check my schedule, which is one of the main reasons I need it. These performance issues make the app unreliable during work hours. Despite these problems, I do appreciate the range of features it offers. However, that doesn’t excuse how outdated and poorly optimized it feels. I strongly encourage the developers to read through user reviews and take the feedback seriously.
