You only get 3 free scans, no monthly package you have to pay per scan. Granted I don't know what the backend looks like or what it costs to host things or how the scan process works but given how many cars I'd like to eventually "collect" spots of its simply too expensive for what ultimately is a novelty. I'd even be cool with a $10 "unlimited" tier, it'd be expensive for an app, but certainly less so than $1.99 for 5 cars or $4.99 for 25 scans.
