Instead of having to pick in $5 amounts. Quite often I only need to top up $1 or $2. Instead, I have to add $5. An item was missing for the kid's lunch that I ordered, and they referred me to call the canteen, but no one bothered to answer! You can’t just do the exact total, you have to “top up”. That left over $$ then isn’t enough for the following week, so you have to top up again. Granted, you get your $$ back, if you put in a request but that also takes a few days and still isn’t actually addressing the real problem. Why would anyone run a system that punishes those who don’t have a spare cash lying around. It means the budget conscious are excluded from this system. That other 9.50 could have been used to pay for a meal for the family for a night, someone’s medication, bus fare to get home, etc, but it’s tied up in Spriggys system of “holding” the money. Not everyone has that kind of buffer, especially in a cost of living crisis. ### 1/5 — Full of bugs and false info *2023-09-12, version 5.3.3.245* Bugs, incorrect information with transactions, high transaction fees and poor support. Takes less time to make kids lunch. ### 1/5 — Have privacy concerns and payment details stored *2023-05-05, version 4.0.2.220* While the app appears good in concept - needs much work in execution. Main issue is that you need to store your credit card information in the Spriggy wallet - rather than the ability to pay ad-hoc. Ideally this would be via Apple Pay etc, or even at a pinch have as a one off transaction to top up as required. There are inconsistencies with the privacy policies and vagueness of wording including sharing of data with third parties, use in marketing campaigns etc. Differing Privacy Policy versions exist - there is one on the App Store, one within the App (in Important Documents) and another on your website. What is a matter of concerning is that the clause for the use to check the website from time to time - rather than having an app notification or emailing it to you. ### 1/5 — Version update prompt message confusion *2023-02-09, version 3.6.0* Why is it promoting for a app version update when you can’t update it via the App Store?? Busy patents needing to order lunches for school kids by version cut off times makes this app so inefficient at the most critical of times. Best to avoid using this if you’re not geared to cater for the mass market Spriggy developers. ### 1/5 — No success at registering *2022-11-02, version 3.5.21* Won’t accept my email and password set. Tried to change password and email not accepted! Online help closes early for WA users. Had to wait until next morning, they still haven’t sorted it and it’s 10.45am WA time so 1.45pm Spriggy time. Constant error messages. I also find Spriggy a pretty despicable business with their fee structure and the way they take financial advantage of parents/carers. ### 1/5 — Worst and least user friendly app ever! *2022-07-19, version 3.1.3* Can’t register with the app. The registration app drops your content when you try to use a password vault. The app drops your orders. My orders were dropped from the order screen and the shopping cart, five times! You can’t process payment without topping up inside the app. Great idea! You can’t actually top up within the app because it doesn’t take the card details properly and does not process the top up payment properly.
