The first is opening the settings panel and tapping the "Data Usage" option. If it's not already on, try enabling the "Download editions while reading" option. The ePaper is very detailed and has large images which can take time to download depending on your connection type and speed. Enabling this option will download pages in the background while you're reading to speed up your experience. Second, we recommend using a fast WiFi connection when using the app for similar reasons as mentioned above. If you're not on WiFi, try connecting to a reliable WiFi network. We don't recommend coffe shops or public WiFi as those are often slower than mobile connections. If you're already using WiFi, try using the app without WiFi to see if the WiFi connection you've been using could be slower than expected. The link to contact the app developer doesn’t work either. ### 1/5 — Be ready for advertisements *2018-03-06* The updated version shows an ad bar across the bottom when trying to read the paper. The is true even for paid subscribers of which I am one. ### 2/5 — This app is genuinely terrible. *2025-05-27* No dark mode, atrocious link sharing, and unfriendly UI. Makes me want to cancel my subscription. ### 3/5 — Astonished *2019-09-15* This once “local” paper has diminished in quality and personality. Typographical errors are found throughout.
