## What is SpritePrep?

Turn a sprite sheet into an animated sticker in a few taps.

Import a sheet from Photos or Files and SpritePrep finds the frames for you. Trim empty space, keep your character from jumping around, then preview the animation exactly as it will play.

MADE FOR STICKERS
- Presets for WeChat and Discord set the right size and file limit for you.
- If a sticker is too large, SpritePrep reduces colors first, then frames, and tells you what changed.
- The preview is the exact GIF you export, on light or dark chat backgrounds.
- Add an outline so your sticker stays readable on any background.

CLEAN UP ANY SHEET
- Automatic slicing, or pick a 3×3 to 16×16 grid yourself.
- Fix frames that cross grid lines with a per-frame crop.
- Remove solid or fake checkerboard backgrounds.
- Align frames on a shared baseline and nudge them pixel by pixel.
- Reorder, duplicate or delete frames; set speed, ping-pong and per-frame timing.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything runs on your device. No account, no uploads, no tracking.

SPRITEPREP PRO
A one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pro adds the WeChat Sticker Platform, Discord and custom-size presets, outlines, store thumbnails, batch export of whole sticker sets, and APNG, PNG sequence and sprite sheet formats.

Background removal and slicing work best on artwork with clear gaps between frames. Overlapping characters may need manual adjustment.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-28

No sprite sheet yet? This update gets you from a blank slate to a sliced sheet in a couple of minutes.

• Generate with AI: a ready-to-copy prompt tuned for clean slicing (16 frames, 128 × 128 each, real transparency). Pick a motion, attach your character or describe it in words, then send the prompt to ChatGPT, Gemini or any image model that outputs a transparent PNG.
• Paste Image: copy the result and paste it straight into SpritePrep from the + menu or the guide.
• Open in SpritePrep: send a PNG or JPEG from Files, Photos or the share sheet of other apps directly to the app.
• A new online guide at sprite.ipixel.to/guide with the prompt, the three rules for a sheet that slices well, and fixes for common problems.
