### 5/5 — A daily reality check

*2009-08-11*

Thank you so much for making this app. It is truly a daily encouragement and kick in the face reminder of what really matters and what truly brings joy.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2009-07-19*

I love this app, it's truly amazing! If you are having problems deleting bookmarks, then try upgrading you iphone software. You delete bookmarks just like text messages.

### 5/5 — I love it

Thanks so much for bringing Spurgeon's Devotional to the App Store. Only who knows it may know how great is to have it handy at the iPhone/iPod.

### 3/5 — Bugs needed to be fixed

*2015-04-23*

Although there was a bug fix for the favorites not being saved, I still cannot save a bookmark. Also, the arrows are not showing to go back or forward to another devotion. I finally figured out how to advance to the next devotion by trial and error, then went to the description for the app and noticed the arrows on the sample page. I have a 5S iPhone with the 8.2 update. I would give a higher rating if these issues were working because it is a good app. I don't remember if this was a paid or free app.

**Developer response:** Try out the new version - completely re-designed from the ground up.

### 3/5 — Nice

*2012-03-01*

Important: this devotional is written in a very literary, stylized way by an Englishman 100 years ago. it will not appeal to Americans who like very accessible reading by authors such as Rick Warren and Joyce Meyer. At it is inspirational an thought provoking, at other times it is excessively ornate and poetic and the message is very cryptic . I'm not a huge fan of highly stylized writing (I prefer simplicity like the Bible) but some of the devotionals are pretty good if you can get last the "as we bow in docility clutched in the throes of the mighty tempest" literary tone.

### 3/5 — Delete option needed...

*2009-04-15*

This is a really nice app to have on hand. Great two-a-day devotions. Only one thing critically needed: a delete option for saved bookmarks. This is a must. Please update soon.

### 3/5 — Nice, but needs a couple of things

*2009-04-11*

Nice, simple. Needs a "Today" button though and a way to delete bookmarks created.

### 4/5 — Needs a little work

*2012-02-28*

The app takes a long time to load, crashes frequently, and is overall very slow, since it's last update. Once that's fixed it will be wonderful.

Thanks for all the work you put into it! It is a blessing.

### 4/5 — Great Resource!

*2010-02-07*

I enjoy using this as a daily devotional. I would rate this 5 stars but for the lack of landscape mode for writing notes. As soon as this is updated, this will be a 5 star application.

### 4/5 — Clean and simple

*2009-06-21*

Clean and simple. Yet one more reason I depend on my IPhone. Thanks for giving the option of not having a background image. This makes the text much easier to read. Nice app.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2017-03-16*

Very elegant and highly functional. The app even reminds me to read.

### 5/5 — Solid update

*2015-07-13*

Great content in a beautiful presentation.

### 5/5 — Great Spurgeon App

*2015-05-25*

The best Spurgeon app for iOS I've found. Simple and easy to use. I like the email feature. Bookmarks are a little buggy but I just don't use them anyway.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2012-10-08*

My favorite devotion ever. . .I love how Spurgeon sees God everywhere and finds the gospel in obscure passages in the Old Testament. The click-through link to the bible chapter is nice. . .honestly some days the scripture is so rich I never make it back to the devotion!

### 5/5 — This is great!!

*2012-02-01*

Now that the app is universal it is amazing! I used it on my iPad before and it was a nuisance to use, but now it's amazing!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2011-09-11*

Love the app, it would be even better if it had a search feature, where you can search for devotionals by keywords.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2010-07-12*

No more carrying around my morning and evening book. There are so many features on this app and they really keep updating those. The value is in the words though...scripture is delivered 2 times a day and that's what matters.

### 5/5 — E-mail function works

*2010-03-20*

My mistake ... e-mail works fine

### 5/5 — Great app from an amazing preacher!

*2010-01-25*

This app is great. I always have my iPod with me and it's nice to be able to take my devotional with me anywhere. The bookmark and email features are great and for a buck you just can't go wrong!

### 5/5 — A great blessing.

*2010-01-17*

Nobody else can both reprove and encourage like Charles Spurgeon. I find it all as relevant today as it must have been on the day he wrote it. I see God's faithfulness and my own dependance on Him every morning and evening.
