Every time I use this app I get logins on all my personal accounts ie Amazon . iCloud , Spotify, all around the world. Belgium. Germany. Liverpool. New York. We’re continuing to improve the app and appreciate you giving it a try. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2026-04-14* When they updated the website to be a solely mobile site they removed 90% of the search functionality (I.e. ability to search for people with specific types, such as those searching for bears, or athletic builds etc) and this app is even worse than the mobile website version. I’ve been a paid up member of this site for years and all they seem to do every year is charge more and offer less, they even had the option to ask for functionality when they switched the main site off and the majority of requests were for improved search functionality and yet here we are a few years later and it’s even worse now than it was before. Even Grindr has better search features than this and that app is the worst one! Do yourself a favour and don’t bother with this app, it’s worthless and I deleted it within a few minutes of downloading it. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. The app is becoming unusable. ### 1/5 — Can you catch up from so far behind? *2026-08-06* I’m so glad the website migrated off of its old front end, but I’m still mourning the loss of the good search features. This app adds nothing to the regressive experience of the web redesign. I can’t easily locate people into my body type, those with certain like interests, etc. on top of that, I can’t see most profile pics. I get the rules but other apps (Reddit maybe being the most popular example in the App Store, but including direct competitors to SQD) are able to handle this by offering a method to allow imagery via a toggle on the website. As a long-time paying customer, the website remained a favorite because I could locate people I was interested in. With that gone, with little sign of positive reactivity to feedback or even asking long term users (I created my account 25 years ago!) I’m not sure I can continue to keep my subscription active. If the app can quickly regrow all the great search, locate, and discussion features it lost in the redesign I’ll happily keep paying. I’ve downloaded the app and it’s saying that my information is incorrect. I have saved it and changed my password numerous times. Now when I hit the change password in the email that sent it takes me to their advertising page, which has no place to enter any information. There are so many bugs. It doesn’t refresh in a timely manner. Selecting between messages and people online have to select the button multiple times. It feels fresh and modern, but still keeps that familiar vibe from the original brand and website. I love that it easily took my profile from the app and carried over while obviously following new app guidelines, the app tones down some content, but have modernized without losing what people love about it. No lewd photos on profiles which is expected for an app. But it’s good for messaging as the app is very quick and responsive.
