## What is sQRH?

sQRH is an electronic Quick Reference Handbook designed for airline pilots. It provides instant access to emergency procedures, checklists, operational data, deicing holdover times, and flight time limitation calculations -- all in one app, directly on your iPad or iPhone.

QUICK REFERENCE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Browse your airline's QRH data with a pilot-optimized interface. sQRH connects to your airline's server to download and keep your aircraft data up to date, including per-MSN applicability. You can also import eQRH ZIP loads directly from Files -- no server required.

FLIGHT TIME LIMITATIONS AND REST (FTL)
On-the-spot FDP limitation calculator based on EASA ORO.FTL. FC and CC crew types with augmented crew (3 FC / 4 FC). Duration timeline with sector blocks, elapsed/remaining time, and color-coded limit zones. Crew rest split with live cruise timer, configurable rest buffers, and local notifications. Share full FTL state to a paired device. Covers split duty, delayed reporting, commander extension/discretion, minimum rest, and cumulative limits.

COCKPIT CHECKLIST SYNC

Pair two iPads by scanning a QR code -- once paired, they auto-reconnect every session. Checked items, section expansions, and resets sync live via encrypted MultipeerConnectivity (no internet required). Both devices must use the same aircraft and QRH version; if they differ, sync pauses with a warning.

TAKEOFF CG/TRIM CALCULATOR

The Takeoff CG/TRIM POS checklist section features an interactive calculator. Enter your CG% using a cockpit-friendly numpad and get instant THS trim position with a horizontal gauge. Trim data is read directly from eQRH XML files for maximum accuracy across all aircraft variants.

VERSIONS (VER)

Track all your EFB app and system versions in one place. Pull down to check the App Store for updates -- a badge appears next to outdated entries. Create, edit, and archive version records. Works standalone with local data, or syncs with a server automatically on launch.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES (EMR)
Instant access to emergency evacuation and landing procedures. Toggle between EVAC and EMER LANDING with a single tap. Full procedure rendering with inline illustrations, warnings, cautions, notes, tables, and ECAM references.

OPERATIONAL ENGINEERING BULLETINS (OEB)
Browse and view OEB procedures with complete rendering of all procedure elements including tables, graphics, nested lists, and action blocks.

CHECKLISTS (CKL)
Aircraft checklists with full content rendering, proper formatting, and state tracking. Syncs live with paired devices.

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP)
SOP reference materials with expandable sections and complete procedure content display.

ABNORMAL PROCEDURES (ABN) AND OPERATIONAL DATA (OPS)
Two-panel split navigation: category sidebar on the left, procedures on the right (iPad). On iPhone, tap to drill into each category. Each procedure is individually collapsible. Custom airline tabs are auto-detected from loaded data.

ALTITUDE REFERENCE (ALT)
Interactive altitude table with ISA deviation and QNH correction. ICAO and metric (Chinese RVSM) flight levels. Configurable max altitude with RVSM markers. Big single-line readout with tap-to-toggle m/ft, 3-state GPS icon, and long-press to reset ΔISA/QNH. ALT state syncs live to paired devices over MultipeerConnectivity.

HOLD-OVER TIME (HOT) -- IN-APP PURCHASE
Deicing holdover time calculator with FAA and Transport Canada 2026-27 tables. Select weather and fluid type (I-IV) for accurate holdover times. Countdown timer with Live Activity on lock screen and Dynamic Island.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.5 — 2026-08-25

VERSION 4.5

HOLD-OVER TIME -- WINTER 2026-27 TABLES
The deicing holdover data has been updated to the new season for both sources.
- FAA: 50 to 56 tables. Transport Canada: 53 to 56 tables.
- Both sources now carry an identical table set and the same 11 precipitation conditions, so switching between FAA and TCA no longer changes which weather types are available.
- New fluids: LNT Solutions P250 (Type II), LNT Solutions P450, MAX TECH LLC MTL 4-EG and MAX TECH LLC MTL 4-PG (Type IV).
- AVIAFLUID AVIAFlight EG (Type IV) has been withdrawn by the publishers and removed. AVIAFlight PG is unchanged.
- The three AllClear AeroClear MAX Type III tables are renamed to "Applied Unheated -- Low/Middle/High Speed Ramp Test".
- The FAA source gains Generic Active Frost tables for Types II, III and IV.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Removed 2.2 MB of unused legacy table data that was being bundled into the app but never read.
- Updated internal parsing and holdover engine components.

Fly safe.

### 4.4.1 — 2026-06-24

VERSION 4.4.1

COCKPIT SYNC — MAJOR RELIABILITY OVERHAUL
The link between paired devices has been rebuilt. Once paired, devices now stay connected far more dependably and recover on their own.
- Each device keeps a persistent identity, so a pairing survives an app force-quit or relaunch without re-scanning the QR code.
- Automatic recovery after Wi-Fi drops, backgrounding, or a force-quit — with smart backoff and a full rebuild when needed. No manual re-pairing.
- A periodic heartbeat detects "stale" peers: a device that still shows connected but has gone silent is now flagged instead of falsely appearing live.
- The pairing indicator tells the truth — connected (green), stale/waiting (orange), or disconnected (grey) — and shows a clear message if iOS Local Network permission is blocking sync.
- A device leaving sends a clean goodbye so the other side updates immediately.
- Incoming data is size-checked and validated; a stale device can no longer overwrite newer checklist progress on a freshly connected one.
- The FTL Share button and pairing status now reflect only genuinely live peers.
- FTL and altitude data now re-sync on reconnect too (not just checklists), so paired devices stay consistent after a dropout.

FLIGHT TIME LIMITATIONS (FTL)
- With augmented crew (3 FC / 4 FC) selected, the Max FDP card now shows the in-flight-rest limit as the primary value and the timeline scales to match.
- In-flight rest window refined: rest starts at block-out plus your start buffer and ends before arrival by the end buffer; the live rest end now projects onto the cruise-start date.
- Rest end buffer default raised to 90 min.
- Cruise rest timer auto-resyncs when you return to the app, so the live window stays accurate after backgrounding.
- Durations now read as H:MM (e.g. 2:05).
- Fixed: rest auto-stop no longer triggers on empty windows; the block-time label no longer truncates.

ALTITUDE (ALT) AND SETTINGS
- The metres/feet flight-level choice ("Meters to FL", for Chinese RVSM) now lives in Settings under a renamed "Altitude" section — set it once instead of from inside the ALT screen. Your existing preference is kept.

PROCEDURES (OPS / ABN / SOP)
- Procedure titles now show the specific ECAM/failure name instead of a generic descriptor.
- Single-procedure categories open directly; sidebar badge counts match what actually opens; empty categories are hidden.
- Merged tables render inline on iPhone without a duplicate header.
- Each category remembers the procedure you had open and its scroll position; the last category is restored on relaunch.

CHECKLISTS (CKL)
- Checklist auto-collapses when the final item is checked.
- Larger, rebalanced fonts for challenge/response and comments.

iPHONE
- First launch now enables a focused set of 6 tabs (EMR, SOP, ALT, CKL, VER, FTL).

Plus haptic feedback across version management and assorted fixes.

### 4.4 — 2026-04-27

VERSION 4.4

ALTITUDE (ALT)
- New big single-line altitude readout under the FL display. Tap to toggle meters / feet (saved across launches). Long-press 2 s to reset ΔISA to 0 and QNH to 1013.
- GPS status icon is now 3-state: green when accuracy is excellent, orange when usable, red when no fix or unavailable.
- Reading always reflects ΔISA + QNH pickers — derived pressure altitude when GPS is usable, ISA/QNH-corrected true altitude from the selected FL otherwise.
- Meters in blue (matching the left column), feet in primary text colour (matching the right column). Last 2 digits 10 % smaller and not bold for fast scanning.
- ΔISA and hPa pickers now persisted to settings.
- Live sync between paired iPads / iPhones over MultipeerConnectivity: change FL, ΔISA, QNH or m/ft on one device and the other follows instantly. Highlight is matched by FL number, so it stays correct even when the two devices use different table modes.

CHECKLISTS (CKL)
- "Reset all checklists" button background now reflects state: light green when no checklist has been started, light orange as soon as anything has been ticked.

OPERATIONAL DATA (OPS) AND ABNORMAL (ABN)
- Categories whose children all share the same single-table layout are now collapsed into one consolidated table with the optional foreword above (e.g. Aircraft Configuration Summary, ECAM Advisory). One sidebar item, no inner submenu, no stacked mini-tables.
- Tables: rows whose content is uniformly green-tinted (e.g. an "Installed = Yes" item) get a matching subtle row tint, mirroring printed conventions.
- Inline rendering: coloured emphasis now applies in paragraphs and table cells, not only in standalone fields.
- Abbreviations wrapped in a styled emphasis (e.g. FD, FLS, APP) now correctly inherit bold and colour on top of the dotted underline.
- ECAM subtitle inline rendering no longer balloons past the surrounding text on iPhone.

NAVIGATION (iPhone)
- Back navigation is now a unified framed pill: left chevron in an accent-tinted disc plus the destination title. Same control everywhere for consistency. When a category contains a single procedure, the procedure title sits in the back pill and the body is shown directly below.

NAVIGATION (iPad)
- Categories with a single procedure (including consolidated tables) now show a framed title above the content, like every other category — no more silent first item.

SIDEBAR
- Badge counts now match the number of items the panel actually renders, not the deep flattened procedure count.

TECHNICAL
- Universal merger and inline-rendering improvements apply to every QRH module — no special-cased per-tab logic.

### 4.3 — 2026-04-21

What's New in sQRH 4.3

CG/TRIM ACCURACY
Takeoff CG/TRIM POS calculator now reads trim data directly from eQRH XML files -- no more hardcoded values. Accurate for all aircraft variants. CG numpad auto-inserts decimal after 2 digits.

ROCK-SOLID MPC SYNC
Complete rewrite of MultipeerConnectivity threading. All delegate work dispatched to main thread, eliminating crashes and deadlocks. Sync identity now checks aircraft registration and QRH date for clearer mismatch messages.

PSL NAVIGATION IMPROVEMENTS
Each procedure within a PSL section is now its own collapsible entry (e.g., ABN/L/G shows expandable LANDING WITH ABNORMAL L/G and L/G GRAVITY EXTENSION). Single-procedure items display content directly without redundant headers. Flat modules (like OPS) promote items to the sidebar individually.

FTL ENHANCEMENTS
Cruise timer survives app crash/restart. Rest start buffer configurable in settings (default 30 min). Cruise start time adjustable with a minus button.

CHECKLIST READABILITY
iPhone checklist item font size increased for better readability in the cockpit.

### 4.2 — 2026-04-17

What's New in sQRH 4.2

TWO-PANEL NAVIGATION
ABN, OPS, and custom airline tabs now show a category sidebar alongside the procedure list on iPad. On iPhone, tap a category to drill in with a back button. Procedure counts on each category. Selection persisted across sessions.

TAKEOFF CG/TRIM CALCULATOR
The Takeoff CG/TRIM POS checklist section is now interactive. Enter your CG% with a big cockpit-friendly numpad and get instant THS trim position. Horizontal gauge with CG and THS markers. Supports A320, A330, A340, A350. Value persists per aircraft family and resets with the checklist.

DIRECT eQRH IMPORT
Import eQRH ZIP loads directly from Files -- no server needed. Select multiple ZIPs at once to load several aircraft types. Replaces existing data on import.

DYNAMIC AIRLINE TABS
Custom airline PSL sections are now auto-detected from loaded data. Tabs appear and disappear dynamically when switching aircraft.

SETTINGS REDESIGN
Data Management section with side-by-side Sync and Import buttons, progress bars, and status indicators.

CHECKLIST IMPROVEMENTS
Larger, bolder checklist section titles for better readability in the cockpit. Haptic feedback on VER module interactions.
