## What is Square Footage & Floor Area?

Find out exactly how many square feet a room has. Tap its corners on the grid, set the scale once, and the floor area appears the moment the shape closes — no tape stretched across the floor, no guessing on L-shapes.

Most area apps only accept a width and a length, so anything that is not a plain rectangle gets rounded off. This one traces the real footprint with the Shoelace formula, the surveyor's method for any straight-sided polygon, so alcoves, bay windows and odd corners are counted exactly as they are. Prefer numbers to drawing? Type a precise width and length and the room is rebuilt as an exact rectangle in one tap.
