Not like original Squaredle on android.  Guessing in the dark having to go to different page to see words already guessed.  Loads of “bonus” words, but no hint as to what they’re actually looking for.

I’ve been frustrated by the number of times that I have played an incredibly common everyday word which turns out to be either a “bonus” word that doesn’t count towards solving the puzzle or (more irritatingly) not accepted at all.

For example, “owls” and “cows” are both rejected. It seems like plurals are not accepted, but there is absolutely nothing in the rules to indicate that this is the case, and in fact one of the screenshots on the App Store shows “cons” as a valid word.

If I’m going to play a game where the object is to find as many valid English words as possible, then not recognizing valid English words is a pretty major flaw.

To be completely transparent, we have been working hard to improve our game dictionary and have updated multiple versions of our word list based on player feedback to find the right balance. However, after updating the dictionary, we completely missed updating our promotional screenshots, which led to this confusing inconsistency regarding plurals. We are incredibly grateful to you for bringing this to our attention.

Balancing standard words, plurals, and bonus words is a complex challenge we are actively trying to solve. We are currently reviewing our word validation rules and will be updating our store screenshots and descriptions immediately to ensure everything is clear and consistent.

Sounds like it might be a fun game, but was very disappointed to find out that the developers are not aware of accessibility and how to use it so that people from the blind and low vision community can enjoy the product disappointing

We want to be honest rather than defensive: you're right that Squaredle isn't accessible enough today. But this isn't something we haven't thought about.
 We've discussed accessibility internally, researched what good support would look like for both low vision and blind players, and the harder truth is
simply that we haven't shipped it yet — and that's fair to call out.

For low vision players, the work is reasonably scoped — proper VoiceOver / TalkBack labels, system font scaling, stronger contrast, and not relying on
color alone to convey state. We're prioritizing this for upcoming updates and will start shipping improvements there first.

For blind players, we want to be transparent with you: Squaredle's core mechanic is dragging across an adjacent grid of letters, which is genuinely
difficult to translate to a screen-reader-driven experience. We've explored alternate input ideas — for example, a mode where the puzzle is solved by
spelling words rather than tracing them — but designing it so it's actually playable, not a token feature, is real work. We'd rather take longer and do
it properly than add the word "accessibility" to a release note without actually helping anyone.

We won't ask you to change your rating — that frustration is valid. We just wanted you to know there's a real team on this end who heard you, and the
next updates will start moving in the direction you're asking for.

Was perfectly fine and easy to play before but I’ve just gone to play today’s match but the update was unnecessary. When looking at found words the letters it showed was helpful but now it’s been removed, replaced with how long words are which we already had so what is the point? Not helpful

I was not enamored with the fact that I can’t see the progression of the letters as I am swiping them, among other things, but when I had 30 words left and felt as I had exhausted all possibilities, but then started finding these ridiculous words that most people have never heard of, I said, done and deleted the app.

Not nearly as playable as the online game. The rules are incorrect within the game. Seriously, “will” is not a word but “walla” is?
