When I reach out to tech support they said they can not assist. ### 1/5 — You will never get anywhere *2025-12-04, version 8.53* Terrible app, chats constantly time out. Throw your money out the window next time, far more useful. ### 1/5 — Notice how many recent reviews are 1 star? *2025-10-28, version 8.53* I’ve had SquareTrade since 2016. It used to be amazing. I had peace of mind on all of my devices. In the last year, SquareTrade has moved to an app-based customer service model. This is fine if implemented properly, but SquareTrade has failed in many ways. Firstly, the app opens new claims EVERY time you upload documents that they request. This creates tons of claim #s to track. Secondly, none of their internal support communicate with each other. It means 30-45 minutes of calling or chatting just to get the new guy up to speed on a previous claim. Also feels like they don’t hand out information readily, so it’s only after I ask a confirming question that they look on their end and tell me they already have it. Thirdly, the app looks like it hasn’t been updated in 5+ years. Makes it difficult to see the status of a claim or do anything more than upload documents (again, opening a new claim every time). Go with a different phone insurance. Your time is money, and this one is not worth your time. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate Data *2025-08-03, version 8.51* None of my warranties show up when using the app. ### 1/5 — Home Depot purchase was a scam! *2025-04-13, version 8.51* We purchased a warranty through Home Depot through Square trade. I tried to use it and it said to bring my fan into an authorized fixer…. No one’s gonna repair a fan this small in other words ha ha gotcha sucker. ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2024-12-05, version 8.48* Very bad application. I reset password multiple times but never works. Always saying wrong email and password. ### 1/5 — Thief’s *2024-06-25, version 8.45* In 2 years, I’ve had to file 2 claims, a bad Visio tv and a bad refrigerator both purchased at Walmart. Both times, the agents have magically had same exact problems, “ system is down”, “ we are going thru scheduled system maintenance “, we can’t find receipt you uploaded even though confirmation received. Allstate are a bunch of lying theifs. ### 1/5 — Ugh! *2024-03-16, version 8.43* Won't replace remote I lost. They don't connect you to a human. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Warranty Support is terrible. *2023-12-23, version 8.40* I purchased two tablets from Walmart with protection plans. Both need to be fixed. Both on the same receipt. I made a claim for one but the second didn’t show up in their system. They wanted me to go to Walmart and get a new receipt. Again a new receipt but same receipt as the first with no new information. All information for the second tablet is on the same receipt. I had to explain this to Jack several times. I downloaded the receipt from the internet and they would not file a claim for the second even though I have proof. They would not go on receipt recovery to see it themselves. I had to email warranty support with the digital receipt. The tech could not understand this was a computer error between Walmart and Allstate. I have friends in supports like this and they go above and beyond to help customers. HE WOULD NOT EVEN OPEN A BROWSER! If it is policy or not you guys need to seriously train your techs. If it is policy change it. ### 1/5 — Makes no sense *2023-11-30, version 8.40* I have insurance on my phone with them and when my phone screen broke I had the hardest time trying to get it fixed through them it went from them telling me my phone was reported lost or stolen then they need purchase receipt that I already provided twice, to now I need to fix the same phone I have insurance on and then send them a whole 6 items for them to verify as if I’m lying they need business name,address,number,email,repairs done and date done.
