Die Integration mit Squeezepad als Steuerzentrale funktioniert reibungslos. Schade ist dennoch, dass der letzte Update zwischenzeitlich 4 Jahre alt ist. Ebenso ist die Webseite des Entwicklers outdated. Deshalb 1 Stern Abzug. ### 5/5 — Smooth Operator *2020-04-08, version 1.11.6* Squeezepad has never failed me, over more than 7 years, across 3 different iPads. Dependable. Intuitive. And although it sounds like some kind of faint praise i also like that it doesn't have any bizarre useless stuff. It’s very focused and does exactly what it’s supposed to do — well. I’d even say that this app extends the life and utility of all the Squeeze equipment and keeps it enjoyable and relevant. I recommend it very highly. ### 5/5 — Eine echte Alternative zu Roon *2020-03-08, version 1.11.6* Beim Musikhören verschiedene Einblendungen von Wikipedia über YouTube oder Google oder LastFM zu haben und mehr über den Musiker zu erfahren ist super! Hab mein Synology NAS mit LMS im Hintergrund als Server laufen . Auch die Bedienung ist deutlich besser als IPeng oder Logitech selbst. Was aber noch fehlt ist eine iPhone Version. Ist aber wahrscheinlich schwierig bei der Menge an Information. Auch eine Menüstruktur die sich leichter verändern lässt (ich kann z.B. irgendwie nur Deezer im Hauptmenü darstellen, aber Spotify klappt partout nicht) wäre wünschenswert. Und was mir am meisten fehlt; ich kann leider keins meine HiFi Geräte direkt als Abspielgerät anwählen. Nur SqueezeboxRadio oder mein iPad.... das kann Roon wirklich besser. ### 5/5 — Super !!! *2019-11-21, version 1.11.6* L’application officielle Logitech Squeezebox Controller ayant disparu de l’Apple Store, je me suis rabattu sur cette application pour redonner vie à mon ensemble Squeezebox Touch + Squeezebox Radio et je suis très agréablement surpris par sa simplicité et ses petits plus comme l’accès direct à Wikipedia pour connaître la vie d’un compositeur lorsque j’écoute Radio Classique par exemple ... Fonctionnement parfait avec ios13 et ergonomie bien pensée ... Je la préfère à l’application d’origine que j’utilisais avant ... Bref, le plaisir est au rendez-vous et les 5,49€ déjà amortis :-) Je la conseille à tous ceux qui veulent piloter leur « ancienne » Squeezebox Radio Logitech avec leur iPad ou tout simplement profiter des informations affichées sur l’écran de l’iPad : pochette du morceau écouté, titre, l’accès à internet, etc. ### 5/5 — Super *2018-09-01, version 1.11.6* Viel besser als das Original von Logitech. It was a total bummer when I installed IOS 11 only to find out that many of my apps would no longer work. As I pretty much use my Logitech Squeezebox Radio daily, I had to revert to using an older IOS device to use the remote function. Well thank you folks for the Squeezepad app. It was a piece of cake to set up via Logitech’s server and off I go. ### 5/5 — Super squeezebox app *2018-02-01, version 1.11.4* Smooth, very easy to use, works really well, all the things Logitech’s app wasn’t until it died with a recent iOS update. ### 4/5 — Tough beginning, but then alll was OK *2018-01-20, version 1.11.4* Right after download the app did not start on 11.0.3. But after some soaking in the system it decided to worek properly and behaves well now. Remeber passwords, does not stutter. One star minus for the tough beginning, but anyway I recommend it! ### 5/5 — Luckily a clever developer closes the gap to Logitech faults *2017-12-08, version 1.11.3* I seldom use the application to control my Squeezebox Boom, you can imagine my sad surprise when a message popped up into my screen informing that the Squeezebox app was no longer compatible with IOS11 and, sadly, Logitech has not yet provided an update. Frankly, it is clear to me will NEVER do. So, I browsed the App Store to see if alternatives were available and, YES, there are some. After looking at apps available, I decided for SqueezePad because from screenshots user interface looked more clean and polished and more interesting from price point perspective. After installing, the app works perfectly. BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. Configuration super simple, very responsive and without some of the oddities of the original one. I really thank the developer for providing this nice thing for the benefit of the full Squeezebox community. Perfect. ### 5/5 — Fantastic app, still beats the Sonoses of the world *2017-08-30, version 1.11.3* I have been enjoying the squeezepad for several years now. Powerful, diverse and can be used both as a client and a controller. My 5 year old earned how to use it in Jon time and is playing his favorite lists too :-) I control multiple clients with it, a squeeze server serving my stored CD copies, plus Pandora, Spotify and several radio stations. And I use it on another device as a client feeding my stereo. I hope the app keeps getting updated. Willing to pay again to keep the author interested in maintaining it. Wenn ein Internet Radiosender läuft, wird der Name des Senders nicht angezeigt. D.h. wenn dann das Albumcover angezeigt wird, sieht man nicht mehr welcher Sender läuft. So squeezepad is useless. At first, everything seemed great. Then I started noticing frequent drop-outs, particularly when loading artwork. My wireless connection is getting 20Mbps to the outside world, so that shouldn't be the problem. Finally, it just stopped playing any music at all, though the progress bar seemed to indicate that it thought it was playing music. The playlist in question plays just fine on my Duet. I restarted the track that was "playing," and things were fine for a while, but the same thing happened again 14 seconds in to the track. On another restart, it made it past the 14 second mark, but still went silent after some time. I'll also note that the controls get extremely sluggish during music playback, often taking over a second to respond. Update: Setting a 320k rate limit on the server solved most of the issues, but there are still occasional drop-outs. Perhaps the Squeezepad player just can't handle FLAC. 2nd update: After dropping the rate limit to 256k, I have not experienced any more drop-outs. ### 1/5 — didn't work for me *2013-02-09, version 1.9.8* When first installed wouldn't ever connect.....lots of messing about and it some times connects then pops up with the connection error message...impossible to navigate music folders on my server as not all of my music has tags. All in all its worse than the logitech free software as that does navigate my folders and very rarely drops connection. Looks like its because of the many folders I have and lack of tags. If you want to browse using the folder view this program is not for you ### 1/5 — Das war wohl nichts... *2012-03-21, version 1.9.3* Ich nutze die Squeezebox Duet und würde mich als durchaus technikaffin bezeichnen. Die Entscheidung zwischen ipeng für ipad und squeezepad habe ich reiflich überlegt und viele Foren danach durchsucht. Letztlich habe ich squeezepad aufgrund der guten Bewertungen den Vorzug gegeben - das war ein Fehler. Eine Woche später habe ich dann ipeng gekauft, in der Hoffnung eine bessere Software zu finden als squeezepad. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Und nun, nach 3 Test-Monaten und immer wieder dem Versuch mit squeezepad "warm" zu werden, bleibt mir nur ein Rat für alle, die so wie ich lange überlegen - macht es wie ich, aber kauft gleich das richtige! The design is ordinary and the functionality extremely limited. I could not get album art to display. There also seem to be usability disaters such as not being able to return to the home page. Save your money and use the web app via safari. So much better! ### 2/5 — Don't Bother *2017-10-29, version 1.11.3* app does the same thing as the Free "logitecc squeezebox controller". I feel ripped off for 4.99. Apple won't refund my money. Thats why I prefer Play Store. Its annoying not to be able to use this app in portrait-mode. ### 5/5 — Simply the best for controlling music files *2022-08-03, version 1.11.6* A great reliable app which I’ve used since the original a Squeezebox touch came out and both are still delivering trouble free use every day. The interface is very intuitive and user friendly but you can get into the guts of the program as well if you have that knowledge. I have 800 plus cds saved in lossless WAV format stored in my pc HDD and also backed up on external WD drives as well. I regularly add new music to it and it is simple and quick to update the database. I was pleasantly surprised by the local play option which allows me to stream directly to my headphones or Bluetooth speaker when I’m out in the garden. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Brilliant!!! *2021-01-25, version 1.11.6* This is such a great tool for managing squeezebox kit - both playing music on the devices and for managing music. The initial setup was so easy, I thought I missed some bits only to find SqueezePad was ready to operate both my SB Touch and my SB Classic. Menus, selections, access to play lists, one-touch access to web info on the artist - all put together that it is all kinda obvious; no need for help or manuals. SqueezePad beats Squeezebox web based interface for music and settings management. The end result is tha I control both players from central station and I now have an iPad sized graphic interface for my Squeezebox Classic - a great coffee-table addition that is so much better than universal remote. After about six months of use I still can't find anything to complain about. It’s a fantastic interface for Squeezebox music playback. It’s able to manage multiple Squeezebox devices and it thoroughly supports Squeezebox interface capabilities. SqueezePad will also emulate a Squeezebox device and will play music thru iPad speakers.
