### 4/5 — Great device to develop grip strength

*2023-10-03*

The device has a quick and easy set up and is fairly user friendly and I appreciate that it includes data to support overall health such as the blood pressure reduction activity. I wonder how accurate the grip strength is however, the grip reading it gives me is about 20-25 lbs. less than the dynamometer reading, though to be fair these are two different instruments for measuring grip strength with different style handles to grips. The different games are fun but the jet pack game is a bit challenging and frustrating at times. It would be nice if there was a way to grade the activity from easy to hard and if there were levels that have a beginning and end to them. Also some more games would be good for variety. Overall, very good device and worth the price!

### 3/5 — Seems Beta mode

*2021-12-17*

Bluetooth connection doesn’t say Squegg. It says Wei in-nini
Most of the games don’t seem to have a way to get out of them other than to restart the app.
Doesn’t send data to Apple health app
It has promise but right now it seems Beta mode.

### 4/5 — Great device but buggy.

*2021-09-22*

V2.1

I use this with a 12 Pro Max on a very fast network.

The blood pressure exercise works great. This is what I bought it for.

All of the other games are extremely buggy. There is a ton of potential. I hope they get a team in place to at least address the bugs.

### 3/5 — Problems with Isometric

*2021-08-24*

I like the new App design, but the Isometric exercise has bugs. The countdown timer goes slow. It often takes several seconds for one second to tick down. The grip strength also is buggy. I have had several times when I release to re-grip, but the app things I’m still squeezing. Isometric was one of my favorite features but now it’s so frustrating that I can’t use it. Please look at that.

### 5/5 — Fun and effective

*2021-07-23*

Squegg is a great way to strengthen your hands without always realizing you are strengthening! The app is interactive and fun and keeps the exercises unique! Great price too. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Use it for lowering blood pressure

*2021-07-14*

I love the device and app. Several medical studies have shown that hand grip exercises can lower blood pressure. Squegg has provided the protocol in their app, and it works like a charm.

### 5/5 — New App release

*2021-07-14*

Love the new app release,
Games are fun, easy and engaging
Love that the right and left hand measurement was added.

### 5/5 — Great at tracking both hands

*2021-07-13, version 2*

The app is great at tracking strength of both hands - Love the update!

### 5/5 — Fun change to hand grip therapy

*2021-01-27*

Helpful in pediatric therapy but too difficult for small children. Would love to see more games added over time or themed games.

### 4/5 — Would be nice to see some fixes in future updates:

*2020-11-03*

- max rep measuring mode (i keep track of both hands but its difficult with the current system).
- Squegg app has much less features compared to Oriori app

other than that, this stuff is great

### 4/5 — Lost function

*2019-10-21, version 1.1.14*

After the latest update there’s no longer a Daily Stats button under Measure.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Intrusive Data Harvesting App

*2025-09-19, version 6.6.0*

App is designed to harvest unnecessary data like date of birth, name, etc.
Absolutely disgusting practices.

### 1/5 — No responde

*2025-02-11, version 4.4.0*

El huevo no responde a los juegos, creo que es una herramienta muy costosa como para que no funcione

### 1/5 — Terrible cloud DB connect

*2022-02-28*

The updated app unable connect to cloud DB at all time. All the count become nothing after several times connect . All historical record are incorrect. The revision app really terrible…

### 1/5 — Bad connectivity

*2022-01-04*

Really frustrating - every time I open the app I have to log in. The Squegg doesn’t connect to my phone unless I have the app open. Poor user experience.

### 1/5 — Can’t use the app

*2021-12-05, version 2.3*

App says invalid credentials even after changing password.

### 1/5 — Because I can’t get started.

*2021-01-09*

The app to monitor the Squegg is not allowing me to sign up unless it is through Facebook which I do not have nor want.

Once that is fixed and I can use it, my rating for the Squegg will be updated.

### 2/5 — Love Lost

*2024-08-13*

I was loving using this app and device in my paediatric OT practice until the most recent update. My therapy kiddos loved the Balloon Blaster game, but the graphics and scoring totally changed and not for the better. Previously, the resistance increased with each level. Currently, there are no levels, no accrual of points and no increase in resistance. Additionally, the background music disappears once you start the game.
On a different concern, I bought the device myself and recommended my employer purchase one for each of their clinics. My device and the first clinic device have worked great. However, the clinic device purchased more recently only worked for a month. The company readily replaced it, but the replacement device has never worked properly.

### 2/5 — Eh

*2020-06-22*

It’s a great idea but unfortunately it looks like it never caught on. I was all excited to compete with people online but then I found out that I think I am the only ACTIVE user. But hey, at least I am undefeated on the leaderboard!!

But seriously- I wish there were other games to be played because the only available one is a “flappy bird” style game.

Does this thing reduce stress? Sure. But so does a stress ball from CVS that is 1/45th the cost.

Here’s hoping for more games....

### 2/5 — Great idea, needs work

*2019-03-11, version 1.1.7*

This would be far better if the app would track your left and right grip separately. I can’t see improvement in my weaker hand because it is always below my max grip.

### 3/5 — Room for Improvement

*2021-12-18, version 2.3*

The games are very simplistic but okay. Be great if they could add a few more.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Who knew?

*2025-12-09*

Who knew such a small apparatus would workout my hands so well. I’m happy to use this and hope it helps my flexibility and strength.

### 5/5 — Squegg

*2024-07-19, version 3.6.1*

Excelente opción de entrenamiento de manos y brazos para los sedentarios con profesión de escritorio
Me parece formidable como se lleva a cabo los diferente ejercicios y espero ver resultados a nivel de fuerza y músculos

### 5/5 — Overall Purpose

*2024-07-11*

This app is amazing for people who struggle with grip strength and grip endurance! I highly recommend this app to occupational therapy practitioners, hand therapists, and clients across the globe. Over the course of the past few weeks of using the app, I have noticed my grip strength getting stronger and stronger. I even had my grandmother who has Parkinson’s disease use the product and she’s enjoyed playing the games while improving her strength. 5/5 excellent application!!

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2024-01-31*

Excellent gadget for improving grip strength. When sowing seeds in my garden, a delicate and precise task, I also noticed a real improvement in fine-work. And this was just after a few weeks. a year on, I look forward to my daily squeezing. It’s quite a Zen-like experience! Phenomenal that such an attractive, comfortable small gadget can pack so many other health benefits (eg keeping blood pressure in check). I had a few issues with Squegg recently, the team were extremely helpful in trying to sort it out. It just wish it was more easily available in the UK (particularly the mint version).

### 5/5 — Loved the tracking

*2023-09-06*

Really improved tracking and great simple games for strength training

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-12-28*

I'm amazed that this cheap hand trainer has a better app than like half of the other gadgets I have!

### 5/5 — Wonderful product!

*2021-09-13*

I have been using my Squegg for over a year instead of taking medication. I also take an herbal supplement. I have to say that “Squegging” everyday, has truly helped keep my blood pressure in the normal range. Thank you SOO much for this product!!!
Also, if you have any concerns or problems, just contact them and they are very responsive.
