From the moment I started playing, I was hooked by its fun and engaging gameplay. But when using different word checking resources, there is little help with Squell. And there is a chance you know an existing word that isn’t counted towards what the game recognizes as being a possibility. I suggest at least expanded options, one of which shows what words are actually possible on the board. And for fun, it could show what these words mean. But again, all only as an option for those just getting into the game or trying to expand their vocabulary. ### 4/5 — Good Game *2025-06-18* I got to seven letters on first day of app purchase. Since then it’s been a once in a week play. The game can benefit with an online multiplayer that would make it excellent. ### 4/5 — Great game, missing a scoreboard *2024-09-23* Well conceived word game, with simple, effective UI. The game greatly misses an internal scoreboard, which keeps track of one’s best scores across games over time. Squell is one of those rare word games that make you keep coming back to try and get an even better score. It's not about how fast you slide the tiles to make words, it is about how strategically you make a move to make words. Squell works really well as an fun and engaging word game because it does not need any added bells and whistles.
