## What is srad?

srad turns your body into an artist.

Using sensors from your iPhone and Apple Watch, srad renders a living 3D sphere that responds to who you are and what you're doing — right now. Your heartbeat pulses the form. Your footsteps send ripples across its surface. The magnetic field around you shifts its color. Motion tilts it, twists it, breathes it. And now your body doesn't just move the art — it plays it.

This is not a health app. There are no charts, no metrics, no goals. srad is personal digital art — generated from the data your body produces every second.

What shapes the form:

# Heart Rate — your pulse drives the sphere's rhythm, expanding and contracting the surface with every beat
# Step Count — each footstep sends a wave across the equator; walking builds a traveling orbit
# Accelerometer — gravity deforms the form and tilts the color gradient
# Gyroscope — rotation adds a vortex twist and surface spin
# Magnetometer — the invisible magnetic field around you rotates the color hue in real time
# Barometer — atmospheric pressure thickens or thins the corona ring
# Location — altitude shifts color warmth; speed drives overall energy
# Microphone — sound erupts the surface with geometry spikes and ripples

Soundscape — your body, in sound
srad now turns your living data into a generative soundscape, in real time. Your heartbeat is the bass, your steps are the rhythm, your motion stirs the air around you, and when your pulse and pace fall into sync, a resonance glow rises — in the sphere and in the sound. Best experienced with EarPods in and your phone in your pocket on a walk. Nothing is recorded.

Sensor Resonance
When your heart rate and step cadence fall into sync — the natural state of a comfortable walk or run — a special resonance glow appears on the sphere. A traveling hotspot that only exists when your body finds its rhythm. Something to notice. Something to earn.

Color palettes
Choose from six hand-crafted palettes — Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Monochrome, Neon, and Default — each transforming the sphere, and its soundscape, into a completely different world.

Immersive mode
Double-tap anywhere to hide all interface elements. Just you, and the art.

Privacy first
All sensor data stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared. srad requires no account and collects no personal information.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-08-24

A short one: we fixed the stumble.

Step Count no longer trips at the door. For some of you, the app crashed the moment iOS asked for Motion & Fitness permission — right as you invited your steps into the art. That's fixed. Say yes, start walking, watch the ripples.
The microphone got steadier footing too. A rare hiccup when headphones connected or disconnected at just the wrong moment can no longer take the session down with it.

That's it. Small update, sturdier canvas.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-16

Your body now makes sound. No, not those sounds.
srad turns your heartbeat, footsteps, and general flailing into a living soundscape. EarPods in, phone in pocket, go for a walk — become a one-person ambient album.
P.S. The wind used to crash over everything like an overenthusiastic ocean. We've had a word with it.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-10

We taught the sphere some manners.
• It keeps proper rhythm now. On newer iPhones your heartbeat was secretly pulsing in double-time. The sphere now beats honestly, at your pace.
• It stopped interrupting your music. The mic used to silence Spotify like a strict librarian. Now your soundtrack plays on — and becomes part of the art.
• It listens when you say "again." Stop and restart a session and the microphone keeps working, every time. No more silent treatment.
• It lets your Apple Watch rest. The watch used to start measuring everything the moment it woke up. Now it works only while you're creating — your battery will notice.
• It found its rhythm with yours. Resonance — that glow when your heart and steps sync up — actually shows up on walks with your watch now. Go earn it.
• It remembers your taste. Palette, sensitivity, sensors — set them once, they're there tomorrow.

Plus politer permission handling and a healthy pile of invisible fixes.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-06-09

* Fixed a crash that occurred when opening the Apple Watch companion app while srad was running on iPhone.
* Heartbeat reading is more reliable now

### 1.0 — 2026-06-08

No release notes.
