If you are a clinician in hospital, and you’d like to start using SRAVI with your patients, please get in touch with us at info@liopa.ai to learn how to start a trial. There isn’t currently a version of SRAVI available for individual users, but we encourage individuals to speak to the staff at your local hospital to ask them to request the app. Have them email us at info@liopa.ai. SRAVI (Speech Recognition for the Voice Impaired) produces speech by reading your lips, for those who have no voice but can still move their lips normally when trying to talk. Currently, SRAVI is capable of recognising around 40 predefined phrases that have been deemed useful for patients who are critically unwell in hospital. People who have lost the use of their voice may include those who’ve had: tracheostomies, trauma, stroke, paralysis or other medical conditions. Using the camera on your smartphone, the app records a short video of your lip movements and performs automatic lip-reading to verbalise what you said. The phrase list of 40 words that SRAVI understands is displayed above. SRAVI can be customised to add additional phrase lists created by the user, and switching between phrase lists is simple. SRAVI is designed to be used with patients in hospital who are critically unwell and need assistance communicating with their doctors, nurses and other caregivers. SRAVI is more natural than typing or writing on paper. It allows people who can't vocalise words to find a new voice. USE OF DATA AND PRIVACY SRAVI is made by Liopa Ltd. SRAVI will record a video of your face for the purpose of lip reading only. SRAVI will only record video when you press the record button on the 'Read My Lips' screen. Video data captured through the SRAVI app is sent securely to Liopa for processing and a response is returned to your app. After processing, the data may be retained to help SRAVI learn an individual’s lip movements and improve future lip-reading accuracy for that user. Liopa do not share this data with any third parties. Video data may also contain audio, for future use in audio-assisted speech recognition. Users can enable or disable the capture of audio at any time by logging into the app and navigating to the Settings screen. My dad had to get an emergency tracheotomy done and cannot talk. He keeps trying to mail the words, but we couldn’t figure it out. We found this app and it has changed the trajectory of his recovery. The nurses and my family are using it to communicate with him. He used to shut down because he couldn’t be understood. He also had a stroke so half of his lips were not working. It was heartbreaking, but this app has changed our life for the better he’s not healthy enough to get a voice box thing but this app is working miracles it’s not always 100% accurate but I would say don’t use this for trying to figure out what somebody across the room is saying This app is for up close conversations where one can really not speak. It is perfect for my dad. Having the ability for ai to read what he is saying would be amazing. I hope that hospitals around the world can get behind this app, as it’s future uses could go beyond those with speech barriers, to those with language barriers, and speakers from other languages, it’s uses will be revolutionary.
