Everything seemed ok in the beginning, at least until I needed help with their credit card. A couple years ago, I found over $7000 worth of fraudulent charges on my credit card. Did SRP contact me or flag them as fraud? No. Was I still responsible for the charges? Yes. I had to get a local branch manager involved to remedy the situation. Fast forward to today. Their fraud department called me to ask me if I was under duress or if I was forced to redeem credit card rewards points that I personally redeemed over a month ago. I repeat, a month ago. Way to wait over 30 days before flagging a transaction and thanks for keeping me on the phone for over a half hour before having a supervisor tell me the purpose of the call, something the regular agent refused to do. Awesome customer service. I’m now receiving spam email when using an email alias only used for my bank account. Changing said email on the website or app is easy, yet they do not allow you to remove the old email without being forced to come into a physical location to do so. I have had mostly good experiences with them. There have been some recent glitches but the CFO called me and he was literally the nicest man in the world. Soooo sweet. I had already talked to a man named Larry who is on the board at SRP. The last time I saw my friend Larry he said that if you have any trouble with SRP, please let me know. So I did. Mr. Larry is a great man also. Super nice. One of the nicest ever. He does not want any member to have any trouble with customer service nor any other issues at all. They are very serious about making the member happy. I would highly recommend SRP as a good place to use in your banking. I have my mortgage with them. They have only been great when it comes to all of that. When I’ve had some fraud issues, there is a lady named Pamela and she is like the best lady ever to help you. Very good at her job. Very nice very skilled. I believe SRP trains their employees well. If you’re looking for a place to Bank, try SRP… They are in Evans, Augusta, Georgia and North Augusta and Aiken SC and several other places.
