Others using the app had the same issues. Beware..as a referee working a tournament, the money was funded and it looks like Stack is keeping money and not paying it out. **Developer response:** We’ve recently improved the login experience on both Android and iOS to reduce issues like the app freezing or spinning. For payments, Stack Officials uses Stripe to securely process funds from leagues and tournaments and distribute them to officials. Payouts typically take several business days. If your payment is delayed, please ensure that your Stripe Express account has up-to-date banking information to allow for successful direct deposits. I couldn’t find out how to log in and it took so long to find out a password that it wanted because I have never created one but somehow I was just supposed to have one. Our support team is always available if you’d like to share more. ### 1/5 — Please make it work or kill it completely *2025-04-15* This app has yet to allow me to log into it giving access error for the role. Even tho this account only has the admin role and works fine in the web browser. This needs to also allow the officials to actually use it to self assign and check schedules. Absolutely worthless without that function **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. The mobile app is currently designed for use by Assignors and Officials. Please give yourself the role of "Assignor" in your event - then return the app. We are planning to add the role of Event Admin in the near future. ### 1/5 — Delete this app right now. *2025-04-14* This app is ok when you are logged in, the planing and signing up for games is not bad. However, logging in is miserable. It makes you put in your emergency information every time you open the app, it takes like 2 minutes. Biggest waste of my time ever **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback and for pointing this out. The issue with having to re-enter emergency contact info each time is typically caused by an incomplete or incorrectly formatted profile. We’ve recently improved the onboarding process and login flow for officials. To fix this, please log in from a desktop or your phone’s browser and double-check your profile. Make sure your date of birth is formatted correctly and that all contact and emergency fields are fully completed. We appreciate your patience as we continue improving the experience. ### 1/5 — Worst sports app ever *2025-03-22* This took me over 30 minutes just to log in and then the app stopped working and this is the first time I’ve ever had this problem so I know it’s not a problem with my phone and I would give this app 0 stars if I could **Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your experience. The app is designed to quickly display your schedule, provide directions to the field, connect you with crew members, and streamline post-game reporting. Calendars can’t sync. I can’t edit any personal information. The app shouldn’t exist **Developer response:** We understand your frustration and appreciate the feedback. The app is designed to help officials manage daily tasks like setting availability, accepting assignments, viewing schedules, messaging crew members, and submitting post-game reports. We’ve also made recent updates to improve loading times and overall app performance. For security reasons, updates to personal or sensitive information need to be made on the website, which includes an added authentication step. It looks like it doesn’t even work which is a shame. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-10-24* Almost never works correctly or even loads. They should just take it down and start over. The website version doesn’t even load right now. Half baked company! ### 1/5 — Not Good *2024-08-23* This app is pretty bad. I’m both an official and assignor in Stack and I can not navigate between the both “jobs”. Even the desktop version seems to have some major bugs that need to be worked out. I’m new to this and I’ve had limited training but all of it seems very hard to use. **Developer response:** The mobile app was originally designed to support Assignors with quick, on-the-go tools. We’ve recently expanded its functionality to support Officials and Event Admins as well. On mobile, you can switch roles using the bottom navigation. Officials will see two buttons (Dashboard and Availability), while Assignors will see three buttons for common tasks. More advanced features remain available on the desktop. We also offer step-by-step guides and videos in our Support Center to help you get started. Is this a possible update in the near future? ### 3/5 — App is good but needs improvements *2025-09-22* I had always wanted stack officials to be an app for referees and not just assignors. When it first was available for referees to use I was excited but it quickly was turned around. The app was slow and had many bugs. Right now it is doing better but it is still a little slow and can be finicky. One thing that would put it over the top would be to add how much you will get paid for each position that you select. It would be nice to know what I’m getting paid instead of finding out 3 weeks later when the payout comes. All the pay scales online are out of date so having that would be nice. I also think that there should be an option to link it to your calendar (Apple/Google) because manually adding each one is a pain and other sport officials apps have that feature. These are just a few things I would love to see happen in the next update of this app. Thanks. I wish it could remember more than two logins (we had three kids refereeing). However, now the app only displays a white screen. I've uninstalled the app and even restarted my iPhone, but nothing changes when I redownload it. I have not received any response to my request for help. **Developer response:** We're happy to hear the app was helpful for your family during the soccer season.
