### 2/5 — Starting Workouts Closes App

*2026-08-16, version 3.7*

I try to start a workout and the app closes for an unknown reason. It will do this 10+ times.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2026-07-10, version 3.7*

It was working fine but 2 bugs. 1. when you edit a dag in a routine, example Day 3, Day 5 also gets updated and vice versa. 2. In a 5 day routine workout instead of hmgoing Day 1,Day2 like you created them it randomly thows today’s workout. Like Day1,Day5

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2026-05-19, version 3.7*

This app crashes or doesn’t work properly all the time.

### 2/5 — Poor user Experience and Gltichy

*2026-04-17, version 3.7*

I’ve been using this for years. It has gradually become worse and I think Mike Mathews is not prioritizing keeping this up to date. It’s just a content tool for him. No fixes in three years. The latest issue on top of app crashes and glitches, it keeps wiping out the workout I’m logging if I go to any other app. In some instances, it adds the workout in my queue up to 8 separate instances of it with it showing 0 exercises. Only reason I’m on it still is all my work for years is logged there, but I’m leaving now. MM used to care about quality - not anymore.

### 3/5 — Generally Good but Glitchy

*2026-03-31, version 3.7*

I’ve been using this for years. Generally good, but glitchy. Freezes randomly, workout plans laid out are missing exercises sometimes. When I open it sometimes, it comes up blank. If you don’t mind glitches, it’s a good app.

### 3/5 — Easy to use, loses data

*2025-11-16, version 3.7*

I really like how easy this is to use. Weights are easy, rest timer is really helpful, easy to get routines. Also, I haven't been asked to buy anything, or punished with annoying ads.

The biggest problem is it loses workout data. I've done 6 workouts so far, it remembers 4 of them. I'm going to transcribe to my spreadsheet and see if the app is still useful.

Other problems
- The BLS workouts are different than the book, sometimes wildly. This can be edited.
- I can't setup my next exercise while the rest timer is running
- removing plates is not obvious at all, took me a while to figure out

### 2/5 — Unreliable

*2025-09-30, version 3.7*

The app is generally ok, especially if you are following a Mike Matthew’s programme. However, far too often now my workouts do not save despite me completing them in the app - and arguably if an app can’t track workouts, there is no point the app existing. Very annoying to have the odd session randomly disappear from the log and I’m looking elsewhere for a more reliable workout tracker.

### 3/5 — Great app, small fixes needed

*2025-09-14, version 3.7*

Love this app, it’s great for keeping my programming in one place and showing me where I was last. My only issue at the moment is that I can’t customize my weight for dumbbell exercises which is super annoying because every time I try to change the weight manually, it auto reverts to a preselected weight. It’s getting to the point where I’m spending more time fumbling with this than actually working out. Otherwise, highly recommend!

### 5/5 — So Easy!

*2025-09-13, version 3.7*

Easiest tracking app I’ve used and it’s free! Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Push Day!

*2025-09-05, version 3.7*

Super user friendly app and as a fitness coach myself I was very impressed with the layout!

### 5/5 — Amazing for keeping track of workouts!

*2025-08-30, version 3.7*

This app is great I usually have a million different notes in my phone with my weight progression and number of sets I did. Stacked makes it so easy to keep track of all this information in one place. I really love usually it for my workouts and will definitely continue to use it!

### 5/5 — Very simple to use. Crazy it’s for free 😮‍💨👌🏽

*2025-08-29, version 3.7*

It builds personal records and tracks your progress worth trying out(all free btw)!!.

### 5/5 — A lot of information

*2025-08-19, version 3.7*

This app provides a lot of information on your personal best, tonnage, etc. It is pretty easy to use and has a rest time in the app. The stacked app is very user-friendly.

### 5/5 — Great workout tracker

*2025-08-19, version 3.7*

Love how this app makes sure you stay on track!

### 5/5 — Trying new things

*2025-08-18, version 3.7*

I have never used a workout tracking app before, but i must say this one was very simple to use! I am very excited to see my progress over the next few months using this tool.

### 5/5 — Tracking progress

First app I’ve used to track my progress! I love that I can put my own workouts in there as well.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-08-09, version 3.7*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-08-14, version 3.7*

Updated to reduce rating. The app would be great, especially if you are following a Mike Matthew’s programme. However, the app no longer functions. The back button doesn’t work so you need to force close and reopen instead. Very frustrating when creating a routine. Too often workouts fail to save properly, despite me completing them in the app. Arguably if this app does not allow you to create routines nor track workouts, there is no point the app existing. There are other, more reliable apps unfortunately. Feels like Mike and the team have forgotten this app over time and with it those who have bought his other products.

### 1/5 — Update

*2026-06-24, version 3.7*

Why is there never an update put out for this app? Many annoying bugs

### 1/5 — App end of life

*2026-02-12, version 3.7*

Seems app is EoL as it hasn’t been updated in 3 years and when I tried to login with my previous account it shows “server connection error”

### 1/5 — Crash and burn

*2025-08-02, version 3.7*

It’s a shame it’s so bad because I like Mike Matthews but man this app is a major dud. I keep thinking it will be better but keeps crashing. I’m done with it now. Don’t waste your time. Other apps more stable. The real question is when they’re ever going to update. 3 years now

### 1/5 — Won’t record workout

*2025-02-06, version 3.7*

Just deleted my workout even though I pressed save.

### 1/5 — Used to be great.

*2025-01-19, version 3.7*

This app used to be great but is now absolute garbage. it no longer reliably performs its primary function: to record workout and exercise history. Every time I do a workout and try to record my weight and reps there’s a 50% chance that it won’t record my performance. So next time I perform the exercise there’s zero record of what I did in the past. Making it impossible to track performance over time, which is the primary function of workout apps. Completely garbage and makes me question the quality of Legion’s supplements and blog articles as well. If they’re ok with providing a garbage app, what does it say about their other offerings?

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2024-12-30, version 3.7*

Unpredictable. I put in a workout and it defaulted to a completely different day. So I put in the exercises I was doing today and they too disappeared. It’s a totally glitchy app. After using it for 3 weeks I’ll be ditching it.

### 1/5 — Apple sign-in not working, “Stacked” with trackers

*2024-12-16, version 3.7*

You have so many trackers so you’re earning a lot, so why can’t you fix the apple sign-in button. Using on iPad. Make money but you should provide value.

### 1/5 — deleted all my workouts

*2024-10-07, version 3.7*

just took my pre and was about to head to the gym, went to the app was logged out and when i logged back in everything was deleted… just a little frustrating

i even reinstalled nothing changed

Not to mention i went to make a new routine every body part was deleted all the workouts were also gone….

### 1/5 — Worst fitness app ever

*2024-09-16, version 3.7*

Server crashes, it’s glitchy, not user friendly, hard to navigate and doesn’t have a good selection of exercises, stick with JEFIT, or literally any other fitness app…

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very Pleased

*2025-12-09, version 3.7*

I don’t think i’ve wrote a review since i was a child playing subway surfers but i have to say this app stands out amongst its competitors very strongly. every other comparable app in quality forces you to pay monthly/annual and this app is completely free while also not giving any/barely any ads. it is super intuitive and thorough with what it offers. i really like that i can make my own exercises and how smooth the timer between sets works, the screen when completing workouts shows a lot of good information as well. i could go on a bit further about its utility but very good for setting goals, tracking progress and making workouts smoother now and for the future. will continue to be a user as long as they keep up this quality for the price of nothing.

### 5/5 — Does what you need

*2025-11-28, version 3.7*

Very straight forward and easy to use. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Workout

*2025-11-13, version 3.7*

I really enjoy using this app. It’s perfect if you need help with workouts

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2025-11-10, version 3.7*

User friendly

### 5/5 — Best free workout tracker!

*2025-11-02, version 3.7*

Finally a workout tracker that is free + simple to use! I’ve absolutely loved using this!

### 5/5 — Good platform

*2025-10-15, version 3.7*

Very detailed app that has good workout options

### 5/5 — Easy and Convenient!

*2025-09-30, version 3.7*

The app is very easy to use and understand- provides a decent log of exercises to choose from! Only thing id add is more exercises or option of choosing DB/BB on some exercises!! Overall solid app to track workouts and make sure you are properly progressing in your lifts :)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2025-09-28, version 3.7*

If you don’t track your weights, you’re probably not going to get stronger. This app makes tracking easy. It’s very simple to use and if you’re not sure what to do in a workout, there are many workouts already present within the app.

### 5/5 — Great Free tracking app!

*2025-09-23, version 3.7*

It’s hard to find any apps these days that don’t require a subscription of some sort. This one is completely free and has some very solid plans for those needing guidance but you can also build your own workouts if you want.

### 5/5 — Workout tracker

*2025-09-21, version 3.7*

This app is great for tracking and storing workouts. I like how easy it is to navigate and how you can see your progression over time. Honorable mention to how easy and cool it is to log the weight on things like RDLs as it shows the barbell and lets you select the different plates and weights you put on!
