## What is Stage Cards?

Stage Cards turns your iPhone or iPad into a stack of big, swipeable cue cards for live speaking. It is built for toasts, vows, sermons, eulogies, stand-up sets, sales pitches, conference talks, and any moment where you need to look up and land the words.

This is not a scrolling video teleprompter. Stage Cards gives you discrete cue cards you flip one at a time, with private notes you reveal only when you hold the screen.

VERSION 2.4 BEAT SPLIT
Beat Split is unique to this app. It cuts a dense cue card at sentence and clause boundaries so you can glance one idea at a time. It does not score a deck. If every speakable card is already one glance, the plate says so. You can copy the proposed beats or apply them to the deck.

Prep Desk remains the readiness score: timing, long-card flags, note coverage, run-of-show, and a rehearsal ladder.

There are two bugs. Hold to reveal note does not appear and app goes wider than screen when creating or editing text. I will still use the App despite these issues.

REHEARSAL MODE
Run a timed practice session before the real thing. Stage Cards tracks how long you spend on every card, then shows a detailed pace report: total time, words per minute, and a card-by-card breakdown flagging cards you rushed through or lingered on. Know your time before you walk up to the mic.

COUNTDOWN TO GOAL
Set a target duration (1–30 minutes) in Display Settings. The presenter shows a live countdown pill that shifts from normal to amber to red as you approach your limit — so you can feel your pace without watching a clock.

FOUR NEW TEMPLATES
— Sermon / Homily: opening story, scripture, three points, application, benediction.
— Comedy Roast: three bits, a heartfelt turn, and a toast close.
— Class Reunion Toast: shared memories, who we became, and a glass to what's still ahead.
— Investor Pitch: problem, traction, team, and ask in five minutes.

All 12 templates remain fully editable. Everything stays on your device.
