### 4/5 — PDF confusion

*2026-01-14, version 3.8.37*

Other than that, wonderful!

### 4/5 — Room for improvement

*2025-12-16, version 3.8.36*

I’ve been searching for a playlist app which does the following: uses stems, has a stem mixer, allows song sections (intro, verse, chorus etc), shows a song playback track, manages playlists, allows ad-hoc jumping between song sectors, works on ipad and mac, has easy transfer of songs or playlists between the two, syncs playlists and songs across devices. ST3 ticks a lot of these boxes, and it will probably become my main playlist app. However, it could be a lot lot better. Here’s how: 1) move the mixer out of song settings and into the playlist screen - mixer settings could still be saved with each song, but altered easily on the fly; 2) make the playback track and song section names much bigger vertically so its easier to see - there’s enough space to do this, or make it an option to display it large; 3), make the creation of song sections much easier by allowing the playhead to be moved around to easily identify where sections start - entering the start and end times is a good fallback but a tactile approach would be much more efficient; 4; there must be an easier way of getting songs/playlists off mac/OneDrive and onto ipad.

Overall, Ableton does a much more comprehensive job but is overkill and is not available for ipad. Multitracker has a great GUI with everthing in the right place but does not seem to allow song sections. Playback/Multitrack has clunky cloud-based song migration, and is too expensive. Everything else pales by comparison to these four solutions, but ST3 could be THE ONE with just a few minor improvements.

### 5/5 — awesome app!!

*2025-12-03, version 3.8.35*

this app has given me seamless live performance. It controls my program changes, gives me time stamped lyrics which are shared with the other vocalists and the opportunity to bring tracks in/out of the mix at will. I just love it
!! thank you Peter, keep up the fantastic work.

### 4/5 — Syncing lyric speed

*2025-11-23, version 3.8.35*

A function to allow programmed intervals between verses, right now one has to guess how many lines to add for solos

### 5/5 — My favourite audio player for backing tracks

*2025-11-19, version 3.8.35*

Fully functional, with useful facilities (e.g., highlighting lyrics as they pass by, adjusting levels and EQ for individual songs or globally, key changing and much more). Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Excellent!!!!

*2025-11-18, version 3.8.35*

Love, love, love this app!

### 5/5 — God tier app for musicians

*2025-11-16, version 3.8.35*

This app is amazing. Does everything I want it to do and more. So many well thought out features. Its very easy to organize your songs into playlists and get ready for a gig.

### 5/5 — 2 yr w/ST3

*2025-11-13, version 3.8.35*

We still use ST3 with Karoke.com custom tracks; Ulitimate Guitar for chords/lyrics.

In our cover band, it's almost seamless now. We've had a few connection wrinkles BUT Peter quickly solved it.

Song flexibility, stage pacing, playlist options ... better rehearsals and improved sound ...

ST# ... right investment for our 4 piece cover dance band (Dashboard Blue) ...

***** Five stars Peter

Optimistically,

### 5/5 — Scott Uhl told me to do this!

*2025-10-19, version 3.8.34*

I follow ScottUhlMusic. Scott has made a hundred YouTube music gear tutorial videos, including a 4-part series on using ST3. I have always used Set List Maker, but not any more. (sorry Arlo). And as Scott says, This ap DOES EVERYTHING! And it does!
If you play an instrument using backing, then ScottUhlMusic is your guy too. ST3 is fantastic.
Buy it. Download it. Use it Get on it!

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!

*2025-10-16, version 3.8.34*

This incredible app runs my whole show - 2 years and counting.

### 5/5 — Stage Traxx is all you need

*2025-10-15, version 3.8.34*

Best all round up in a long time, whether are you just looking for the lyrics app? For audio backing tracks this is the one.

### 3/5 — Good, but major drawback

*2025-10-07, version 3.8.34*

The app works great for the most part but is missing a very important option to hide the massive bars at the top and bottom of the screen when displaying lyrics. This screen real estate is very important and the bars are very distracting. If not for that it would be 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Perfect software

*2025-10-02, version 3.8.33*

This is without doubt by far the best working gigging software out there p. And the latest updated version covers every need worth every penny . Just use it and enjoy the features

### 5/5 — Just Wow!

*2025-09-26, version 3.8.33*

If you perform live and rely on 3ring binders full of lyrics, GET THIS APP and lose the piles of pages of songs.
Scan your music and import it into Stage Traxx3. You will never be the same!

### 5/5 — Quick Easy professional

*2025-09-23, version 3.8.33*

Quick Easy professional

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-09-16, version 3.8.33*

It fits perfectly for all musicians needs, I needed an app to do all these and it worked perfectly first time I used it. I learned about the app on YouTube from Scott uhl and I saw the important this app will be for my gigs.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — TERRIBLE

*2025-10-11, version 3.8.34*

Adding a pre prepared iTunes playlist is USELESS. It’s a TERRIBLE APP TO USE

### 1/5 — Unable to unlock full version after paying

*2025-09-04, version 3.8.33*

Paid to unlock the full version when it was £19.99, then after switching phones it never unlocked the full version and doesn’t recognise I paid for it ages ago

### 1/5 — Many bugs

*2025-02-22, version 3.8.27*

Please help, so many bugs after the update

### 1/5 — Tracks will not upload to the app

*2024-12-15, version 3.8.23*

All of the sudden tracks will not upload from any platform to the app. I can’t get any support. This was a great app. Now it is worthless.

### 1/5 — Not recognizing I bought the app

*2024-09-03, version 3.8.19*

I purchased the full version in late 2023. I was happy with the app but when I changed iPads last month I cannot add songs to the app. It says I have to purchase the full version which I already have done.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2023-12-24, version 3.8.7*

Won’t import text or pdf locally
Beware

### 1/5 — Pretty limited for true playback routing

*2023-08-14*

At first I thought this would be everything I needed in order to reduce dependency on a laptop. However once upgrading to the full paid version I quickly realized it was a waste of money for true playback routing. Let me explain. By default the app allows 6 tracks. I had assumed more track options would open up with the paid version, I was wrong. Then came the biggest disappointment… when I finally finished creating dumbed down tracks to meet the 6 track limitation into playlists for nearly 80 songs and arriving to the rehearsal space to connect to the playback interface, I was extreme displeased to see only ST3 only having 3 pair of stereo sends and an additional stereo send out the headphone jack. Not even the ability to send a mono click, guide track, or timecode to a mono channel output. This is extremely limiting when using a redundant setup through a 10 to 24 channel playback system.

### 1/5 — OK

*2023-02-19*

Laptop version is useless. Use it on the ipad and its ok, I use a footswitch with it and it doesnt auto connect it I have to turn off the bluetooth and turn it on again to get it to see it. Also had an issue with it going into crossfade without touching anything.

Laptop version wont downlod fom icloud, keeps saying no such file whicih is nonsence they are all there i use them all the time on different devices.
Backup is a joke, i did a full back up from the ipad, restored to the laptop and half the info such as songs and playlists all well as the audio files are missing, pointless. waste of time.
Bottom line its ok but you cant rely on it in a pro situation. Might switch back to go buttom at least it worked 100% all the time a did what it said it would.

### 1/5 — Dont bother with this one

*2022-11-30, version 3.6.4*

it consistantly crashing, useless so far

### 1/5 — Great but......

*2021-11-18*

Could do with being able to back up all mp3s and lyrics to iCloud.
It’s taken me 2 full days to download all mp3s then add lyrics setting individual font sizes and spacing to fit with the tracks.
When I need to upgrade the iPad I would need to go through all this again unless like other apps it could be saved on iCloud or be a login system that can be retrieved again at a latter date . Also would be better to have the chance to skip through the track rather than it’s current set up of double tap pause etc . Other that this it’s a great tool . Many thanks

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Phenomenal app!

*2026-01-23, version 3.8.38*

This is a really handy app. The GUI is clean and customizable. And it’s extremely intuitive to use. Being able to sync devices over the cloud is bonus. Well worth the money.

### 5/5 — The Beast of them all !!

*2026-01-10, version 3.8.37*

I’ve been using Onstage Performer since the early 00’s and it only ever ran on XP - I found ST3 a while back but didn’t dive in, past two months I’m absolutely hooked and at last I can use a stable app on my MacBook bought a cheap router and now I can have my iPad at a gig for lyric display, amazing awesome 5 star app with brilliant support ! Thanks to the devs great work it is what has been missing for years and at this price point then wowza

### 5/5 — Stage use

*2026-01-06, version 3.8.37*

I use this quite often on stage now I’m only a solo artist, so some of the functions of this don’t really apply to me but once you get everything in sync and you get your timing is right for the way it scrolls this is an absolutely amazing product, and I am extremely happy that I found it! I recommend this for anybody who either just wants to scroll music, lyrics, or if you wanna do backing tracks.

### 5/5 — Absolute best

*2026-01-05, version 3.8.37*

Great app

### 5/5 — Unequalled

*2026-01-02, version 3.8.37*

Stands head and shoulders above other systems. Each time I sit down with it I find new things to do. Now apart from lyrics and PDFs, of course there are multitrack accompaniments, I also use it to send midi commands to my Helix, to the keyboard player’s devices and to midi to DMX controller. The whole stage can be run from ST3.

### 5/5 — KevKeys

*2025-12-13, version 3.8.36*

This program has been so thoughtfully put together. It is stable, reliable and so versatile that along with a wireless MIDI adapter for my keyboard, it has become a seamless solution to me running tracks on-stage. I only wish that it could generate a click track on its own by putting the bpm and length of the song in. That would help with lyric-only songs so they scroll, in time. Otherwise, I love it.

### 5/5 — Pro gigging singer/musician

*2025-12-08, version 3.8.35*

The best app available !! Thank you Peter. 👍🙂🎶

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-12-04, version 3.8.35*

Excellent product

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-12-04, version 3.8.35*

Its simple, effective and intuitive

### 5/5 — Peter Dikant

*2025-12-03, version 3.8.35*

Absolutely the best and ST4 is coming! Peter and his staff ALWAYS answers my obscure questions.I am positive it has enabled countless musicians to practice and perform live all over the world.
