Long time user, first time caller. Probably a long shot, but i was thinking the reference database is incomplete, as it doesn’t contain any diffusion info. Obviously it won’t use a color reference, but simply having the company item #s available, as well as any light lost, as stops, would make for a more complete and more useful pocket reference. ### 3/5 — Add Favourite Gels *2022-10-18* Apps cool, can you add favourite gels and then filter by favourite ### 3/5 — Not quite what it shows *2014-10-03, version 1.4* The app does what it says, and it has a full data base. The samples on view three appear as only half, cut off the bottom. The fourth screen shot, which is the full colour, which could be handy, doesn't seem to exist. Maybe I doing something wrong, but I tried touching everything. Still, it is a great price as a reference tool! ### 4/5 — Technical Theater Assist. *2014-09-25* Being my 3rd year as a theater technician and having three backpacks for different jobs, be it lights, sound, or scenic equipment specific, getting a gel book out isn't always easy or safe, depending on your location. This app does give a general color tone that surprisingly matches 80/20, 80% correct and 20% that's close or not right at all. Offering the top industry gel manufacturers is a great feature to compare gels, though they vary less than 2-5% in hue mostly. For free it's a good reference to get a general idea, though I wouldn't bet my reputation on it, I still pack in 2-3 gel books into every one of my bags. ### 3/5 — Solid 3 stars *2013-03-04* Free app - basic swatch book functionality but nothing fancy. ### 3/5 — Missing Swatches *2012-10-18* Would get five stars if it had the rest of the swatches (e.g. diffusion) and added Lee. Please fix, loved this app before the update:( ### 1/5 — Was a useful app *2013-11-18* They have removed what made this app a cut above the rest. The ability to swipe between gels and the ability to full screen the color. Now with the 1/4 to 1/2 circle of color, this app is just a generic color app and of little to no use. The white back ground washes out color. Before the black and brown gave a bit of the color you see more often on stage and therefore allowed you to see better how the color might look. This now feels like I'm looking at paint colors rather than gel colors. ### 2/5 — Limited search functionality *2017-09-20* I want to be able to search a color when the Lee tab is selected and have Lee gel pop up. Would love to have a feature where you could save/fav a gel you use often and maybe label it as to what it's used for like red wash, catwalk cool, etc. Great for my students to have on hand with them. Love it. ### 5/5 — 5 Stars For What it Is *2014-03-03* An incredibly beautiful app with a good amount of gels to search through. This is why I believe the current version is a 5 star app. However I wish a few things were added/changed, such as: 1) Either change the name or add more general lighting design/master electrician tools. It currently is not a "stagehand" as much as a swatch book - but this is okay if it is labeled as such. 2) Add more gels! What you have is currently fine, but could certainly be greatly expanded! Overall, an informative and helpful app that I wish I had found sooner! ### 5/5 — Love this app! *2013-11-19* The new interface looks great!
