### 2/5 — Great idea, poor execution

*2026-07-02, version 1.4.0*

Love the idea of this project. It’s an unfortunately necessary resource, even in this day and age. However, the app is borderline completely unusable. Half the tabs do not move/scroll - they’re oftentimes stuck and I can’t navigate to other locations on the tab.

This is more so a product of social media’s impact on collective action rather than a flaw of the app itself, but there are far more individuals ‘there for support’ than those in need (to an overwhelming extent). It’s a little dispiriting to scroll through the app and not feel like you’re needed there due to the over saturation of one demographic. I worry it could chase away those who need support due to the eagerness of those who are there for comfort and looking for just one person to offer help to.

Also, the wrong form of “you’re/your” is used during signup when asking for a bio… The small things don’t seem to be tied up well overall.

### 2/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-06-01, version 1.4.0*

Which is such a shame because I would love to join this movement! I am unable to get any kind of code to reset my password and this seems to have been an ongoing issue for a long time. Not sure why it hasn’t been fixed yet.

### 2/5 — Unable to log back in

*2026-04-29, version 1.3.1*

Seems to be a problem with the app. Have updated and no code sent. Otherwise a nice place to connect.

### 2/5 — Can’t join

*2026-04-15, version 1.3.0*

Never received a code despite many attempts and reinstalling. Please fix!

### 2/5 — Verification code never sent

*2026-03-20, version 1.2.0*

Can’t log back in bc of it so I guess I can’t use the app anymore. I’ve tried it 5 times.

### 2/5 — Can’t get past logging in

*2026-03-16, version 1.2.0*

I love this idea and would love to be a part of it, but I’m hung up at getting a confirmation message sent to my phone number. I’ve put it in every way I know how, and nothing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2026-03-10, version 1.2.0*

Would love to have joined up but never could get a verification code.

### 1/5 — No verification code

*2026-03-07, version 1.2.0*

I have tried several times to sign up to this app but I get to the verification code and it won’t send it so I can’t sign up.

### 1/5 — Can’t get account setup

*2026-03-01, version 1.2.0*

Trying to create an account. I keep entering my phone number, but the app never sends a code for me to enter.

### 1/5 — Can’t even sign up

*2026-02-27, version 1.2.0*

I really wanted to rate a 5, but I can’t even sign up, so therefore the app doesn’t work. Upon opening, app is glitchy and it doesn’t matter how I enter my phone number it does not send me a code, and no, it’s not in my spam messages. Yes, I put in the country code, and tried every other way to enter my number I could think of. This is an incredible idea, but it seems these large bugs should be worked out with this app at this point. I will continue to try and update this review if I can ever get past the sign up.

### 1/5 — Won’t work

*2026-02-24, version 1.2.0*

I’ve tried numerous times and can’t get the app to send me a verification code.

### 1/5 — ??

*2026-02-24, version 1.2.0*

I tried several times to register on the app but it literally would not send me a verification code so that i could finish registering! I really thought this was a great idea but i guess maybe it isn't if it won't even let you finish registering.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-02-24, version 1.2.0*

I joined SIP to be supportive of others in the LGBTQ+ community who have no family or social support. I received mostly scammers message me which I reported. Now I no longer have access to the SIP app and there is no support listed on the app. I have/had a paid subscription. It’s a good idea but a badly executed app with no support.

### 1/5 — Impossible to sign up

*2026-02-23, version 1.2.0*

Can’t get it to send me a verification code to finish setup. Have tried many ways. No apparent customer support.

### 1/5 — Just make it work already!

*2026-02-09, version 1.2.0*

Seeing as no dev has bothered to address any review here since August just screams nobody cares. If you do, then you need to get to work and make your app work. Particularly notifications which has been broken for months and months.

You’ve supposedly updated the app two weeks ago but with what? Did you fix anything? Not that I can see… However, I did see you put in a monetization feature so we can pay to not see ads. Boo you.

BTW. Us Neuro spicy folk are experts at just filtering out stuff like that. We don’t need to pay to ignore ads that’s for sure. Fix the existing features and maybe add actual premium features and some of us might pay.
But you’ve gotta fix what you already broke first.

### 1/5 — Impossible to register

*2026-01-24, version 1.2.0*

Hi ! Can I register with a French phone number ? I’ve tried to create an account but I never received the verification code.
Thanks for the info.

### 4/5 — Glitchy but I love the intention

*2026-01-04, version 1.1.9*

I can’t scroll down or click anything on the first tab along the bottom, the refreshing thing that happens at the top of the screen wigs out my device clock/battery bar, and I don’t seem to be able to see the post that I just made. 😅

The community seems nice though. There are definitely some creepy older men that need to read the room and not call someone beautiful on a post requesting empathy but, you can’t win at everything, am I right? The interface feels pretty natural, the connections made on here feel real/organic. The intended function is lovely and decently well executed but it’s falling short on technical aspects, and could maybe do with more Mods.

### 4/5 — Clunky

*2025-12-25, version 1.1.9*

I love the overall idea of Stand In Pride, but the app itself needs work. I’m currently experiencing a glitch where I can’t type my name in to create an account on iPad. I was so excited to join Stand In Pride, but this just left me feeling disappointed…

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t get it to let me in

*2026-08-06, version 1.4.0*

I’ve tried to log in on/off for over 6 months. I can’t get anything to work. I love the idea but I have to stop trying

### 1/5 — App will not work at all.

*2026-07-29, version 1.4.0*

Love your idea and wanted to see if I could join and stand in for anyone that needs but your app does not. There no phone number to call for tech help. Nothing. Not even sure if this a real thing that people are doing.

### 1/5 — Would love to join, but the app won’t let me.

*2026-07-22, version 1.4.0*

I have tried repeatedly to join, but it never sends me the text code.

### 1/5 — Can’t sign up.

*2026-06-04, version 1.4.0*

I saw the reviews and still tried. Can confirm, you can’t sign up anymore. It says an account already exists, but if I try to log in it says I need to verify but won’t let me verify. Sad.

### 1/5 — Sounded like a good app

*2026-04-06, version 1.3.0*

My nurse advocate gave me the information for this app, as she is super resourceful. I tried on both an android and iPhone to register and it will never send a verification number to my phone. I wonder what’s up with that?

### 1/5 — No Verification Code

*2026-04-03, version 1.3.0*

I’ve tried several times to be a part of this app as I really need family in the community but each time I try to sign up, it doesn’t send the verification code so I can’t even be a part of the app’s community- very disheartening

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-03-31, version 1.3.0*

I can’t get past the verify screen it keeps saying that it was gonna send a verification code to my phone number, and it never sends it

### 1/5 — Not Usable

*2026-03-30, version 1.3.0*

When setting up, I never received my text to verify my account. I rechecked the number and resent texts, but nothing was ever sent. I had to delete the app. I’ll just go back and look at the Facebook groups to get started in supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2026-03-28, version 1.3.0*

I’d love to help but the app is glitchy. It either won’t send a code to sign up or it freezes.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2026-03-13, version 1.2.0*

I just learned about this app and was wanting to be a support person but the app will not send my verification code (after at least three attempts to get one)..
Can’t join if you don’t have a working app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Start from the beginning the app needs some work

*2026-04-02, version 1.3.0*

App keeps crashing I can’t even log in to my account

### 5/5 — No way to verify

*2026-03-27, version 1.3.0*

No matter what I do, it won’t send a text to verify acct so I cannot access it!

### 5/5 — Not what I expected.

*2025-11-29, version 1.1.8*

I looked over the other reviews, and it seems like it’s getting a lot better. Though, the app is still slow. I’ll have to wait for it to finish loading so I can see my profile picture or close and reload several times. Often if I close the app, I will have to log back in, which makes sense, but then it won’t log in. Also, there are a lot of creepy men on the app. A little unnerving when it’s supposed to be for vulnerable people wanting a stand in parent.

### 5/5 — You just need to get it

*2025-10-28, version 1.1.7*

This app is amazing, it provides a community for those of us without one. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Great new app

*2025-09-14, version 1.1.7*

Will definitely be recommending

### 5/5 — No option for international

*2025-07-02, version 1.1.4*

Zip code is limiting the possibility to offer support in Europe.

### 5/5 — These people are gems!

*2025-06-26*

What a genius idea. Helps me connect with some really great people, true gems, meet you right where you’re at. So needed especially in a time like this. App works great! Hope more people can give it a shot and feel supported and seen. Awesome ways to give back too, lots of different options to get involved for all ability levels. Stronger together, peeps!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review. It’s truly heartwarming to hear how Stand In Pride is helping bring our community together. Our amazing members are creating meaningful, daily impact in each other’s lives, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of it!

### 5/5 — Great community

*2025-05-11*

It’s so wonderful to see and be a part of a tangible reminder that there are a lot of wonderful, kind, supporting people still. Great community, great vibes, great people stepping up to support each other. I know it had some early launch bugs, but what app hasn’t on start up? They seem to be fixed now from my experience. It’s a wholesome place and a welcome reminder that good things still exist.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad to have you.

### 5/5 — Great app for LGBTQA+ and allies

*2025-05-10, version 1.0.11*

Great app to offer allyship to this amazing volunteer built community. Dan and his volunteers have worked hard to create this, and early bugs are resolved. Let’s go!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2025-05-10*

This app is great. It has some bugs but it’s new and that’s to be expected. It still does a good job with its intended purpose of connecting people in their communities. As with any app, there will be growing pains, but give it time and the developers will work through them.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review and words! We are so glad to have you.
