Your first steps into Stanza now unfold along an inked pathway — parchment, ink splats and literary type, with each stop introducing a corner of the world: the Writing Space, spoken word, podcasts and live performances, inner circles, the Community and your Library.

Set your stage
Your profile cover is no longer a photo banner — it's a stage. Choose from six hand-drawn theatrical backdrops, each painted in your own accent colour:
• The Playhouse — a proscenium arch, velvet curtains, a waiting spotlight
• The Broadside — an Elizabethan playbill in blackletter
• The Illuminated Folio — aged vellum with a gilded drop-capital
• Midsummer Night — a starlit wood with a low moon and fireflies
• The Heraldic Seal — a wax seal pressed with your initial
• The Curtain Call — swagged drapes and a laurel wreath
Prefer your own image? You can still upload a custom backdrop.

Pick your accent colour, your typeface and your bio during onboarding, and watch your profile update live as you choose.

We now ask in-app before the system prompt, so you can decide in context.

• Quick "View profile" — jump to your own profile right from the profile switcher, on every screen.
• Submission Tracker, explained — a new in-app guide walks you through tracking where you send your work (Targets → Attempts → Accepted).
• Circle admins can now moderate posts in their circles (remove, take down, or warn) and manage members.
• Critics can now pin feedback to an exact moment in an audio piece.
• Content warnings: a gentle soft-reveal card appears before sensitive pieces, so you're always in control of what you read.
• Cleaner notifications — localized in your language, with accept/decline right from the list, and requests you've already handled now show their outcome instead of stale buttons.
• The bottom bar tucks away as you scroll on every screen, for more room to read.
• Snappier settings — notification toggles respond instantly.
• Helpful first-run tips, plus a new How-To tab with gestures and shortcuts.
• Email digests fixed — daily, weekly, or monthly summaries arrive exactly as you set them.
• Ads come to Stanza, privacy-first: personalized ads off by default, under-18 accounts always non-personalized, and Stanza Pro stays ad-free. A "Do Not Sell or Share" control lives in Settings › Privacy.
• Reliability — smoother back navigation (no more unexpected exits), a fixed profile-menu crash, more dependable share cards and profile QR, and faster menus.

• A free, ad-supported experience with you in control: ads are non-personalized by default, and you can manage personalized ads anytime in Settings › Privacy. Prefer none? Stanza Pro is ad-free.
• New privacy controls, including "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
• Stronger safety — clearer community and child-safety standards plus easy in-app reporting.
• Sponsored posts from organizations, always clearly labeled — and you can react to and discuss them like any other post.
• In-app announcements from the Stanza team — including notices for specific poets, podcasts, and live channels.
• Show or hide your password when signing in.
• Polish & fixes, including a cleaner critique layout on iPad/tablet and a smoother feed.

Organization profiles got a refresh:
• A clear View mode so you won't accidentally change your settings,with an Edit mode for when you do.
• A new Library hub and cleaner, simpler navigation.

More ways to be recognized:
• 17 new badges that award automatically as you take part in the community.

Fixes & improvements:
• The mobile notification setting for "email me even when there are no updates" now saves correctly.
• Behind-the-scenes privacy and security improvements, plus stability and performance fixes.

### 2.41.0 — 2026-06-23

New: the Library. Everything Stanza now lives in one place — your tools, writing spaces, community, and inbox — organized into clear sections so you can find anything in a tap. The bottom bar is leaner (Stage, Discover, Compose, Library, Alerts), and the new Library holds the rest, including your Organization Requests. Starting a podcast or going live is smoother too: Stanza now takes you straight to the right next step, and helps you set up streaming the first time.

We also fixed scheduled posts: a poem you schedule for later now appears on your stage and in search the moment it publishes, just like posting normally.

Also in recent updates: Organization Publishing. Organizations can publish and feature poems on behalf of their members, and when one wants to publish or sponsor your work you'll see it in a Requests inbox where you can accept or decline — always with clear credit to you.

The editor is more reliable too: if the app is interrupted while you're writing, Stanza saves your work in the background and offers to restore your unsaved draft when you return.

Plus accessibility improvements, security updates, and a range of stability fixes.
