Other companies can figure this out, why not staples. Lots of other bugs and just overall outdated design. If they’re not serious about the little things, why would we trust them with our business? ### 2/5 — Poor interface *2020-09-16, version 5.2* Can't select search order (i.e. price low to high) like the website does. This is a LOT of data entry and maybe you only have to enter it once? I’ll never know, because I cannot activate the Customer ID field no matter how many times I tap on it, shut down and re-open the app, etc - whatever evil game you’re playing, Staples, you win! I’m out. I’ll just use my laptop - thanks anyway. ### 1/5 — Upgrade continues to be a downgrade *2019-10-10, version 3.8* While I love the new interface, the app has become a major pain to use. I can’t modify orders, only Approve or Deny, which is a major issue. Likewise, when I attempt to place an order it, it’s requiring a PO and POR and no matter what I enter on the app, it continues to tell me that lines are blank, when they clearly aren’t. A great app that’s almost unusable out of of being able to approve or deny orders, and nothing in between. ### 1/5 — Not impressed with new update. *2019-08-27, version 3.7* The update requires a PO number to make an order. I have never used PO numbers. Also, the labels are gone from the budget center number list. Please fix these ASAP so I can order through the app again. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2019-07-18, version 3.6* Scanner quit working after the July 2019 update. App locks or crashes frequently. What a stupid shopping app that can't let you track your order? Especially, the tracking info already on the website. If you use just your mobile it is impossible to set up and use. It is like someone intentionally set this up to be a lesson in frustration. You sign up through your company. Wait 3 days, get an account number, your user name / email verified, and a link to create the password. Click the link. Goes to the website to set up your password. Nope - you first have to enter in the account code. Okay - do that. Boom - screen then says you have to use the app because the experience is so much better. So click that link. Install the app, launch it. Realize I can’t log in because I still don’t have a password. So I click the I forgot my password link in the app log in. Sends me an email. Click the reset link. Huh... back to the enter your account number page. Enter it in. And boom - same stupid get the app page. No way to set or reset the password from a mobile browser. Just wow... At some point I may go to my computer and deal with this there, but extremely unimpressed. I am on the hamster wheel from hell, continuously being asked to login. Why even make an app? Staples’ complete lockdown on the Advantage program is likely the culprit. And as much as Staples charges for their products, one would think they could hire a development team that would not make them look foolish. This app hangs up constantly, won’t allow you to remove things from cart from a previous session, doesn’t “find” very relevant products using search and more. Walmart and Target have managed to put their entire inventory online with an app that works very well. Staples, go to them for advice.
