### 2/5 — Up to date?

*2016-04-19, version 3.3*

I love the app, but it is not behaving for me. Using iOS 9.3.1 and an iPad 2, the camera doesn't work (not a biggie), and clicking the map button crashes the app. When was the last time this app was updated?

### 2/5 — plus nice app BUT: visible only does NOT work on ipad 4. AND share does NOT share what you see !

*2014-08-11, version 3.3*

plus nice app BUT
no matter what i do i can never activate the visible only tab ! and without a search for name, scrolling takes forever to go through ALL THE NOT VISIBLE FROM YOUR LOCATION ITEMS !!!

what good is share IF IT DOESNT SHOW WHAT YOU SEE ??? i am looking at Camelopardalis location for the meteor shower ... and share shows app ad with sun ??? NOT what i am viewing.

and since i purchased ALL in app purchases i now can see what wasnt obvious with just planets and sun. (no pluto which is still a planet even if it IS dwarf (i disagree with the new category !!! ))

### 2/5 — Simply inaccurate

*2013-09-01, version 3.3*

I point it at the moon that I can see for myself and it shows the moon as more left than some minor deviation.

### 4/5 — Last update

*2013-03-07, version 3.3*

I love the app. And I have enjoyed it very much until the last update! My screen is locked in a very strange mode where as the Definition and side bar that show the planets will not retreat! Please fix this problem . . .

### 3/5 — Cool idea, but doesnt always work.

*2013-01-04, version 3.3*

The cross hairs are hard to find, if at all, even though the 'visible' planet list shows a couple. When it works it is cool!

### 4/5 — Fun app

*2012-12-22, version 3.3*

This is easy, comprehensive and informative.

### 4/5 — Great app. My grandson loves it.

*2012-11-22, version 3.3*

Great app. My grandson loves to look at the planets and this helps us find them.

### 4/5 — Awesome

*2012-10-31, version 3.3*

I love to show my 5 year old what the planets look like. He wants to do it every night!

### 3/5 — Great App. Needs a night mode.

*2012-10-29, version 3.3*

Very cool app. Great for finding/identifying stars and planets. I'd rate it 4 or 5 stars if it had some type of night mode button. As is it's too bright at night. I can use the iPad settings to dim the screen but I'd rather have an in app button to dim or invert the bright colors (maybe red on black?) so you don't ruin your night vision.

### 4/5 — Forgot one

*2012-07-21, version 3.1*

You forget Pluto I'll give 5 stars if you put pluto on here :-(

### 4/5 — too bright!

*2012-06-20, version 3.1*

Works great! However, it needs a night mode to darken the sides/background, so you don't lose your night eyes. Never see bright lights in the cockpit of an airplane. Dark grey or black with red or blue text would be an awesome upgrade!

### 1/5 — Figuring it out

*2012-06-15, version 3.1*

Doesn't seem so intuitive and I have to turn my device every which way to see the planets' locations.
Otherwise it is at least educational.

### 4/5 — More instructions

*2012-05-06, version 3.1*

Great so far but need a little better help function.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Did Not

*2017-11-05, version 3.3*

Work for me. Everything I tried it would send a pop up that I would have to buy it to see a planet or the moon or any star etc.
Here's the thing for me. If you have an app that's free developers then let it be free..
Otherwise be up front and charge for it.
Because now I'll start watching for your developor name on other apps and I won't use them thinking they will be lame too.

### 1/5 — iPad Air

*2016-09-29, version 3.3*

Camera doesn't seem to work with the app like the iPhone. Any work being done?
Support address is dead. Doesn't work on iPad correctly. Sad. Very great app concept.

### 1/5 — Screen blanks out

*2015-10-22, version 3.3*

Screen goes to white and will not show real time planets anymore

### 1/5 — No info without buying..

*2014-07-11, version 3.3*

Useless app. As it ask for money to see anything.

### 1/5 — Can Not Restore Purchases

*2014-04-13, version 3.3*

I used this app for along time but after an apple update I am not able to restore the purchases of stars and it will not work on visible only mode at all. Even after talking to support! Was a great app but has not kept up on the updates and has fallen short. !Bummed!

### 1/5 — Hisssssssss

*2013-07-11, version 3.3*

Stupid app is useless to me

### 1/5 — Ripoff!

*2013-02-02, version 3.3*

Only very vague info on planets and no data without additional purchase. Program planets is free and has better data.

### 1/5 — When Ifirst started using this app, it was great

*2013-01-30, version 3.3*

But after the first update, I can't use it at all unless I'm online.

### 1/5 — Update didn't work on ios5

*2012-10-11, version 3.2*

I haven't updated my iPad from iOS 5 and when I updated to this version it won't load.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2012-08-31, version 3.1*

I got this app to see planets I don't see anything all there is . Is words this app is stupid and I hate it after this I'm deleting your app and am never getting one of your apps again

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — An Essential

*2017-02-09, version 3.3*

It is just too useful, too packed with excellent features and a crisp, easy-to-use interface. Never leave home without it. An astronomy-buff must-have.

### 5/5 — Awesome app to use with students

*2015-06-07, version 3.3*

This is an awesome app to use with students, especially elementary students to show them that stars are still there during the day even though we can't see them. I've had this app for almost three years and it's great as ever. Highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Plannet Finder

*2015-04-06, version 3.3*

Love setting out of an evening with friends and family.

### 5/5 — Your asking me to rate planet finder constantly before I can figure it out

*2013-05-26, version 3.3*

I am excited about the aspect of this app, but give me a chance to really get the program going before you demand a response.

### 5/5 — Just as good as ever

*2013-04-06, version 3.3*

I've had this app since it initially launched for the iPhone. It's been the only star gazing app I have found useful at all. Maybe it's just me, or maybe cause I'm using the iPad, but I can't see the planet picture when I pinpoint to the star. Also it would be nice to not have it landscape locked. Otherwise, good app.

### 5/5 — Lined up Jupiter right in the cross hair

*2012-11-18, version 3.3*

Amazing app makes stargazing easy!

### 5/5 — Truly Amazed

*2012-05-20, version 3.1*

Best $1.98 I have ever spent...the apps makes sky watching a pleasure, wow!

### 5/5 — Saturn's Rings

*2012-04-16, version 3.1*

I tapped Saturn in the Finder, and searched the sky using the app. I placed the scope in the direction & BAM!!! SATURN. Awesome sky-gazing exploration app.

### 5/5 — Works really well!

*2012-04-13, version 3.1*

Easy to use and finds what one is looking even without much knowledge about the objects.

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-04-08, version 3.1*

Highly recommend it
