## What is Star AR Traces?

StarTrace turns your iPhone or iPad into a window to the cosmos. Point your device at the night sky and watch constellations come alive in augmented reality, with lines, labels, and star data overlaid on the real sky.

**AR Sky View**
Use your camera with gyroscope and compass to see constellations exactly where they appear in the real sky. Stars are rendered with accurate colors based on their spectral type — blue giants, yellow dwarfs, red supergiants — all in their true positions.

**24 Constellations & Growing**
Explore major constellations from every season — from Orion's winter brilliance to Scorpius's summer glow. Each constellation includes accurate star positions (J2000 epoch), constellation lines, and detailed information.

**Mythology from Three Cultures**
Every constellation comes with stories from Greek, Arabic, and Chinese astronomical traditions. Discover how different civilizations saw the same stars and created vastly different legends.

**Tap for Details**
Tap any constellation to see its info card: Latin, English, and Russian names, brightest star, area in square degrees, season visibility, and a full list of stars with magnitudes and coordinates.

**Night Mode**
Red-filtered interface preserves your night vision. One tap switches the entire app to a dark red theme designed for stargazing in the dark.

**Native iPad Experience**
On iPad, StarTrace uses a sidebar layout with constellation browsing by season, direct navigation to any constellation, and a full detail view — not a stretched iPhone app.

**Fully Offline**
All star data, constellation lines, and mythology texts are stored locally. StarTrace works perfectly in remote locations with no cell service — exactly where the best stargazing happens.
