Hey, Future Star Baker! I'm Amy! When I built this app, I didn't know how to bake. I always watched THAT baking show on TV and had the audacity to think "I can do that." I scoured through every episode and wrote down the different components they mentioned: Genoise, Bavarois, Creme Pat. I organized them all into a program to learn how to bake. 2 years later, I can mostly laminate dough, my buttercreams mostly don't split, and I forgot what a soggy bottom is (except of course getting out of a kayak). I made this app to document my journey and to help you if you want to pretend you're baking in a tent too. Whether you're a rookie baker or a seasoned pro, there's always room to rise! FUN and CHALLENGING BAKING PROGRAM This program is designed to go from easy to challenging. Each level is designed with customized challenges to teach you the skills you need to get to the next level. Start with a basic birthday cake and sparkling sugar cookies and keep baking until you're making perfect pavlovas and beautiful brioche. FLAVOUR OPTIONS and ALLERGY SUBSTITUTES I have included some recipes I like but I offer information on how to swap out nuts or change up the flavours if you have preferences or can't find an ingredient. ACE CHALLENGES, EARN SKILLS BADGES Complete challenges for each level and earn different baking skill badges. Collect baking skills such as "Windowpane test" or "Stiff peaks."
