These days, that requires intrusive videos, level blocks and similar. As a company, we’ve decided not to do any of that and instead focus on gameplay that benefits customers and not advertisers. Unfortunately that means we need payment in some other way. We’ve tried to price it fairly, and also provide both subscription and outright purchase plays options as some people prefer one over the other (though traditionally subscriptions will earn more for the developer). Thanks for giving the game a try. I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you prefer ad-based schemes, fortunately we have a couple of great competitors who cater to that. Happy puzzling! To start it needs an undo and a redo button, more options for colors, far better stats, including what an expert time entails and how far off one was on an expert time, etc. good start but nowhere close yet. **Developer response:** Thanks for that thoughtful feedback! Having more stats is interesting. We spent a lot of time intentionally trying to keep everything about the puzzle minimal, to allow focus on the puzzle solving without distractions - like pencil and paper. However, that doesn't rule out more detailed stats like we provide in our other apps, as you've suggested, like "how close to expert time". Note that we do have undo, though no redo. I'll ponder that as well. Finally, I am intrigued by the colors idea. Do you envisage a set of different "themes" essentially I wonder, to allow choosing for personal taste, or perhaps better contrast for accessibility? Thanks, Michael @ Egghead Games ### 3/5 — Great game, a bit too costly for what it is. *2026-08-28* Love the developer and their no ads way of providing games. I do think the only 50 free plays are too few though when some of the easier puzzles take just seconds to complete. I’d for sure pay a one time fee but the monthly subscription is costly and even the 150 play purchase is a bit much due to the wide range of difficulties and the simplicities of this game. My kids sometimes play games on my phone and they’ll use up an entire purchase in one afternoon. I think it’d even be better if they priced similar to their logic puzzles game which gives you multiple difficulties for a cheaper price. That one makes more sense as I’d imagine it’s way more difficult to create that type of game than this one. This one is just so simple and too many other ways to play the exact same thing without having to continuously pay such a high price. Either way, great game, great developer. Want to continue to support but wish price was more reasonable for what it is. ### 4/5 — Fun, while it lasts *2026-08-26* Enjoyable and challenge game. Good news, there is already a timer + rating! If you solve the puzzle faster than most people, without using hints, you'll get an "Expert" badge. There's also a "Zen" mode where nothing shows at all for those that prefer not to be rated (though it still keeps track in case you want to peek occasionally). The auto-complete around a star is also a nice feature. I do wish that the bell curve for completion time could be ported to the app instead of the “expert +1” feature (but it’s better than nothing). A “clear” button to start over would also be nice. Thanks for making this! **Developer response:** Good news! Clear is already there. Tap the puzzles stars/size at the top left of the board and a Clear button will appear at the top right of the board (i.e. like selecting a new difficulty but instead starting over). It’s so nice to find a game with no ads. There’s a good range of difficulty levels and the options for hints are useful. The small price for additional puzzles is a great value, and I much prefer that over ads. Even when I had a technical issue, it was fixed within 24 hours. ### 5/5 — Love *2026-02-11* No ads!
