The only way to get it to do that is to hit the puzzle note thing and it shows them all over the fretboard. I don't want that. I want to see them in the open position. When I click the "puzzle piece", the open positions are represented as being outside of the scale, but no setting seems to display the scales in first position. Since this app seems to be targeted at beginning guitarists, the first position scales are a significant omission. If there is some way to get these, it should be more obvious, and probably displayed by default, lest a beginning guitarist use the app for self-study and miss these entirely. ### 3/5 — Good app *2018-05-26, version 3.6.6* I like this app because of the design and scales. Das neue Design ist grottenschlecht. Sorry, aber Eure konzeptionelle Entscheidung, von der Abbildung eines Gitarren-Griffbretts - das man ja auch täglich benutzt und anschaut- zu einer symbolhaften schematischen Darstellung zu wechseln, ist falsch: In der visuellen Rezeption vereinfacht dies die Arbeit nicht, sondern verlangt vom Hirn einen zusätzlich Wahrnehmungsschritt. Dies hat mit Weiterentwicklung nichts zu tun. Davon abgesehen sollte Euer Icon in der Farbgebung vielleicht an das Holz einer Gitarre erinnern. Ich habe da ganz andere Assoziationen… Die App ist gut und hilfreich deshalb zügele ich meinen Ärger und vergebe anstelle der verdienten 5 Sterne 1 Stern. This app shows you several ways to use this app from showing notes to fingering each note on all scales. It will show you how to start each scale from top to bottom and back to the beginning of scale - the root note. I got the full package for my iPhone and iPad Air that includes all kinds of freaking scales - blues , pentatonic .. about 2 dozens of them and they have exercises to practice with for the stuff your working on..I’m sure I’m missing stuff but this app worth every penny of it!!! I’ve had this app a couple of years and the person who runs this app always got back to me .
