### 4/5 — Release a new era, dammit.

*2026-08-09, version 3.4.59*

I said what I said.

### 2/5 — no data collected but too grindy

*2026-07-06, version 3.4.57*

too often the encountered ships destroyed mine. even early simple missions. 50/50 survival is 100% uninstall

### 4/5 — Great game but hard

*2026-05-30, version 3.4.57*

I love deep RPGs and this is one of them. However I’m not big on all the complex parts of this game. I always end up getting a certain way into the game and then encountering enemies I can’t beat. I lose a few battles and fail quests and then run out of money.

I’d love it if you added a story level of difficulty where the battles are a little hard but you never lose even when outmatched. I’d pay extra if you added that or add a way for me to pay $4.99 and get 5 million credits or something.

Thank you.

### 3/5 — Told you I owned these on multiple platforms.

*2025-11-13, version 3.4.43*

This developer likes to abandon their games on other platforms, leaving people who paid for them without the product they bought functioning. I don’t expect it to work for a lifetime, but they truly love abandoning games.

### 5/5 — Top Notch

*2025-11-01, version 3.4.39*

This game has knocked my socks off. The quality is excellent. I like the narrative/free-roam balance. Interesting lore and characters. No ads, just straightforward one-time purchase of the game and you’re golden.
I’ve sank maybe a little over 30 hours into it and I’ve barely brushed the surface. It feels robust, and that’s something I don’t normally experience with mobile games. This game set out with a goal and absolutely crushed it!

If you enjoy RPGs, this game is worth a play.

### 5/5 — For real gamers

*2025-09-12, version 3.4.39*

I’m a 40 something nerd. I don’t as a rule play mobile games. I procrastinated for weeks considering what to play as I found myself stuck in a hotel 3 nights a week with a work laptop and my iPad. What an absolute find this game has been. Deep, complex, rewarding and beautifully executed and designed. Truly superb. This game can stand shoulder to shoulder with any game in this genre on any platform.

### 4/5 — need Chinese

*2025-09-10, version 3.4.39*

Chinese thanks

### 2/5 — Könnte nice sein…

*2025-09-02*

Sehr unübersichtlich, keine Einführung.

### 5/5 — Skyrim in Space

June 26th 2025 (Update Review)

They just dropped another update 3 months ago. Look at the update list. Tap on updates… look at *everything they’ve added” mind you for free.

Which I would had paid, this is a two man studio. Support these men. If you haven’t played this game… check it out YouTube. Look at the reviews, it deserves more. Also, this is a game you can play for hours on end or even in bite size runs.

Deep story
Amazing role playing capabilities - you create any tv show, movie, book or game that you play whether Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Non Fiction.

The replay value is bonkers..

Trese bros is insane! Still updating this masterpiece even while working on their new title Cyber Knights, which is currently in early access on Steam. (I’m buying that too for iOS)

Trese bros, you guys are amazing!

I had a review on here from 3 years ago, where pretty much called it Skyrim in space, I came here to update it, but somehow it’s gone.

is Apple removing older reviews?

Anyways, If you’re a gamer and you’re reading this… BUY THIS game, it’s pretty much Skyrim in Space but from a darkest dungeon 2D battle perspective.

A very deep, elegant and sophisticated story. If you love to role play like them pc stellaris players… then this will be your addiction.

This game, because of it’s open world web filled with politics, agendas, factions, trading, smuggling, bounty hunting, spying, xeno alien hunting… and so much more, trese bros, perfectly designed all these elaborate interplay of game systems that work silently in the background, which is part of the magic that immerses you into this organic, lived in universe..

It will have you naming your crew from characters of whatever shows, movies, books, comics that you are a fan of: Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Foundation, Justice League, X-men, Avengers, Ripley and her crew from Alien, your favorite sports team, your favorite manga or anime (infinite playground for your imagination here)

Buy this game, you will not be disappointed. Also plenty of youtube guides are available.

### 5/5 — Really fun and good game

*2025-06-16, version 3.4.29*

It’s pretty addicting when you really get into it the only thing I wish they had were missions that delve into cosmic horror or even space zombies and I wish I could customize ship colors/looks

### 5/5 — Really fun and good game

*2025-06-02, version 3.4.29*

It’s pretty addicting when you really get into it the only thing I wish they had were missions that delve into cosmic horror like war hammer 40k has

### 5/5 — Absolutely worth the cost

*2025-05-31, version 3.4.29*

Heard through a friend that this game was worth the 10 bucks. That is a total understatement. I’ve paid 60 bucks for AAA games that didn’t have this much value and immersion.

Everything I wanted from Elite Dangerous that it didn’t deliver. A Magnus Opus started by Escape Velocity and perfected by Star Traders.

Looking forward to a follow up.

### 5/5 — Great Game!

*2025-04-16, version 3.4.29*

The best mobile game I’ve played. I purchased this years ago for cheap and it’s still fun. There have been hundreds of free updates that continue to add to the game. There’s an old school brutality in losing crew members, which reminds me of the original X-Com. With so many professions to choose from, you can play a different style every game. My praise to the developers and their devotion to this game.

### 2/5 — Don’t waste your time, find another game

*2025-04-15, version 3.4.29*

I am down with text based RPGs, but this was sold to me as a strategy rpg. When you get past the overly long conversations, you have a lacking travel system, and a terrible ui. Trying to plan a jumps for more than one mission is clunky back and forth.
When you do get to combat, ship combat is fine, but in no way good, but crew combat is absolutely trash. I either dominate the other team, or you get wrecked. I had a combat that one crew member got one turn, and then couldn’t act for the next four turns while they were murdered. In that same combat, I had the ship doctor, but they couldn’t do anything to heal. What is the point of a doctor that can’t do their only job?

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2025-04-04, version 3.4.29*

One of the 5 best rpg games on ios in my opinion. No gacha. Solid and involving gameplay. Loads of depth and replay-from-start goodness.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Find a better game

*2026-05-18, version 3.4.57*

Actual dogcrap. Awful combat, painful UI that makes finding good trades far too lengthy, constant “oOo, SpAcE dAmAgE” godawful nonsense occurring every few seconds that wipe out any mediocre trade profits. There are a lot better trading games out here. Avoid this one.

### 1/5 — I want to Love this game, but it’s to FINICKY!!!!

*2026-04-26, version 3.4.47*

It’s crazy how RNG this game is, so it makes early game gameplay a slug and coin flip. Then when you try to really invest in something, the game locks you out of the main story because you spent three months stuck in hyper warp. Wasting the whole hellish run. I hate this game for the time it’s wasted. It’s got way too much in it to be so finicky, the UI cramped, easy to misclick, save scumming basically needed. No way to make a good crew not completely out of dog water. I understand the guys have updated it for years, but it’s just to frustrating and iffy of a game to say it’s okay to INVEST time into. ABSOLUTELY NOT. It will screw too over each time on RNG, horrid UI, and extremely time limited story missions.

### 1/5 — Obtuse, requires wiki

*2025-07-18, version 3.4.37*

Don’t be deceived by the high aggregated score.

This company either pays for reviews or has a core “early-access” crowd boosting the score.

With no tutorial and dense mechanics, this game is almost unplayable without consulting a wiki.

This is apparent from character creation onward, followed by a few comically unexplained prompts leading to the main quest.

In addition, many UI elements are tiny and unexplained.

If you enjoy mystery novels, perhaps you will find delight in the pain.

### 1/5 — Don't waste your money

*2025-07-14, version 3.4.37*

This is a seemingly intentionally unenjoyable RNG-PG combining all of the worst aspects of 2D, turn based team fighting RPGs and overly verbose sci-fi roguelikes. The only enjoyment you can really extract, once you've spent the necessary hours making sense of this mess of a game, is from high difficulty runs where your goal is to get terrible RNG (doesn't take long in this game). I'd rate this vaporware zero stars if I could.

### 1/5 — Star wasted money

*2025-05-19, version 3.4.29*

Have fun navigating

### 1/5 — Forced story

*2024-12-10, version 3.4.19*

I’d rather be able to have an option to join the main story than be forced into it

### 1/5 — iOS crashes on startup

*2024-12-09, version 3.4.19*

See title screen then it crashes. Nice logo not worth the price

### 1/5 — Seems good but…

*2024-08-06, version 3.3.115*

It’s almost impossible to read if you wear glasses on iPhone 15!
Really unbelievable!

### 1/5 — Playability Depends 100% on RNG

*2023-12-23*

If whatever provides the random seed the engine uses is “bad” on your device, this game is completely unplayable on anything but Basic difficulty (and even that is iffy)

I’ve tried to like this game for years, but have only made it to the endgame once or twice. My runs usually end before the 2nd Act of the Intro mission, with a mandatory ship combat where 100% of my shots miss, but the enemy hits (and crits) nearly every shot. Or the orbital mission will take so many turns, the mission success card will be over 60% (and still may not be rolled for) and your ship+crew are wrecked. Or the skill checks will always fail without a saving talent, no matter the total dice available or how many times you reload. Or a large number of crew will desert, no matter how much you micromanage morale (to the point of all missions ending Overdue from Spice Leave) and your grounded unless that planet has the crew you need

It’s a shame such a cool universe is locked behind awful mechanics.

### 1/5 — Redundant and boring

*2023-12-11, version 3.3.69*

I found this game to be redundant, tedious, and boring. I lost interest quickly. Also the illustrations look pretty bad.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Never gets old

*2026-07-26, version 3.4.59*

Genuinely the best game on the app store hands down. I downloaded this game a while back and it’s been a recurring download each time I get a new phone. Endless captains and a super engaging game loop this game fulfills every space captains itch. TRESE BROTHERS PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS GAME. Also one request is to add more cosmetics whether it be outfits or making more face options as I keep having to reuse the same face models on multiple play throughs. Also cyber knights is a goated game

### 5/5 — Underrated

*2026-05-26, version 3.4.57*

A bit of a mix between freelancer and FTL. Choose what you want to do and which factions you want to support across the universe.

### 5/5 — Truly innovative for iOS

*2026-05-09, version 3.4.57*

Star traders is so much fun, you can really get lost in the world and unless you’re killed, you just keep going, getting stronger, growing your own operation whether that’s being the strongest military ship in your faction or going around spying on everyone for who you decide deserves it. Awesome game, never seen this formula on iOS.

### 5/5 — This game is incredible.

*2026-03-30, version 3.4.47*

I’m enjoying this game more than any space RPG that I’ve played in over a decade.

### 5/5 — Hard Mode

*2026-03-27, version 3.4.47*

Hard mode is too hard… please provide tips book.

### 5/5 — just a blast

*2026-02-15, version 3.4.47*

I bought this game and set it aside for some time, clumsily wandered outside my first settlement for a couple of seconds and ran into a pirate ship. They had slightly stronger shields and armor so I closed in and boarded. My melee character got wounded pretty badly and morale went down the toilet for her, but we trashed the officers’ cabin, panicked the crew, then went back outside and riddled the ship with more fire. Finally the hull ruptured and my melee character got promoted to combat medic. This is old school gaming with a huge injection of modern depth. Love it.

### 5/5 — Fantastic RPG

*2026-01-29, version 3.4.47*

Amazing game, with regular updates.

### 5/5 — BEST GAME EVER - please more stories

*2026-01-21, version 3.4.47*

I can not say enough good things about this game! I love how you have so much freedom and the little details about crew and your officers that makes you feel like you’re actually a space captain… I have played through almost every type of play on permadeath and it’s so much fun!!! The only thing is that I wish you would add more stories! It’s so fun to play through the stories and would love more of them!

### 5/5 — Ships

*2026-01-11, version 3.4.47*

So uh… not to be a wet towel or anything ?but uh , we need ships . Like bigger ones to spend our long term millions on.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-12-03, version 3.4.43*

This game is so much fun I am really enjoying it
