### 4/5 — I’ll miss this game

*2026-07-01, version 1.34.0*

My fav idle. Where else can I get my Lower Decks fix in this format? Exactly, nowhere!

Much love to the team, the Reddit, etc. I’ll miss this game.

### 5/5 — Please keep making this

*2026-05-17, version 1.33.1*

Please please please don’t end it!

### 4/5 — So sad :-(

*2026-05-14, version 1.33.1*

I was afraid that this will happen after the cancellation of the TV. I’m so sad that this game will end this summer. Good luck to all creator and programmer of this game.

### 2/5 — Very limited gameplay quickly becomes “how fast can you see the ad”

*2026-05-10, version 1.32.1*

The game isn’t that complex and at higher levels you just have to wait over and over to get an ad to pop up to get enough resources to buy the next upgrade. The game just doesn’t have enough variety aside from that to be fun. I wish they’d add more game mechanics and make the ads more about speeding up play than a necessity in and of themselves. (Seriously it sucks to keep reloading the game just to get enough dilithium)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-04, version 1.32.1*

The game is worth every minute, if your a Star Trek fan, its well worth the play. 5 stars everyday

### 5/5 — The Perfect Trek Game for Casual Gamers

*2026-05-04, version 1.32.1*

What a great find! I love Trek but sinking hours into a game isn’t for me right now. This is the perfect game to itch my need for Trek without falling into a black hole.

### 5/5 — Great game but awful adverts

*2026-04-13, version 1.32.0*

Great game working with fun characters and stories. Unfortunately free players like myself must endure repetitive adverts with away to select subject matter through options. I’m frequently shown gambling adverts for solitaire this and bingo that. I honestly put my phone down and walk way from them while they play. Any chance we can get choices in advert types? Best wishes.

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2026-04-05, version 1.32.0*

Fun gameplay and entertaining stories full of Easter eggs from throughout the Star Trek universe, but the only way to progress is by watching endless ads. I’d rather pay for the game itself.

### 5/5 — As hilarious as the TV show

*2026-04-03, version 1.32.0*

This game is an absolute delight if you’re a fan of the show and Star Trek in general. Can keep you addicted for *weeks* at a time with a game loop that’s not too tiring, because the script and animations are a hoot.

### 4/5 — Mostly Decent…When It Works

*2026-04-01, version 1.32.0*

Able to install and have the game load on a 6th gen iPad, with latest iPadOS 17.0.2. Game launches fine, with ability to get into tutorial level, but after I click the settings button and import my progress, the app consistently stops loading the game and terminates. Even after restarting the app, it consistently bombs out at 23%. Not sure what that issue is. I have no problem with having ads in the game. Wish there was none/less of the risqué ads, showing off T&A, since I usually play this out in the public. Playing on iPhone is doable but not desirable. Too much to see all at once. No way to zoom that I can see, which makes hitting moving objects more difficult.

Too many ads, including occasional NSFW ones.

Presently, Arthur Mystery Book app ads are the primary problem.

### 2/5 — Why no subscription option?

*2026-04-01, version 1.32.0*

Sister game Doctor Who has a sub to get rid of the ads, so why can’t this one too?

### 5/5 — Chill and relaxing

*2026-03-31, version 1.32.0*

Fun little stories and the characters are well written. The little side quests can be a little frustrating to accomplish in the time given

### 5/5 — EDREI

*2026-03-20, version 1.32.0*

It was good

### 3/5 — Addicting

*2026-03-15, version 1.32.0*

Love this game!!! You feel like your achieving without doing much

### 4/5 — Long time player

*2026-03-14, version 1.32.0*

I have been playing this game for a few years. I enjoy it for the most part but over the past 6 months it seems like the events have really been a money grab. I use to be able to play most the events without spending too much. It would be a few bucks here and there but now it seems you have to drop $10 or more to finish the event and there have been times I have spent both money and a good amount of latinum be in the top 3 throughout most of the events without spending then get knocked down to below the top 10 towards the end.

### 2/5 — Major technical issues

*2026-03-13, version 1.32.0*

Played if for a long while, and the game was fun, with good stories and characterizations. Fits into the universe of Lower Decks and Star Trek well.

The big BUT here is that you can’t play the game anymore. I don’t know what the specific technical difficulties are, but the game constantly shuts down or doesn’t even load. I was in the high chapters when the game kept crashing whenever I would click buttons (which is required to play the game). That progressed to eventually not being able to get back into the game as it would always cash while loading.

I eventually just gave up on the game and took a long break. Recently redownloaded it back after, hopefully, such major issues would be fixed. Nope! Just as unplayable and unloadable despite my device and app being up-to-date. Don’t waste time with this app.

### 4/5 — Fun time kill

*2026-02-25, version 1.31.2*

Fun way to kill time

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2026-02-23, version 1.31.2*

Fun gameplay and entertaining stories full of Easter eggs from throughout the Star Trek universe, but the only way to progress is by watching endless ads. I’d rather pay for the game itself.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2026-05-18, version 1.33.1*

DO NOT WATSE your time or money on any game this company makes. You’ll spend all that time building your stuff for them to just shut the game off and take it all from you. Do no support this company still a rip off

### 1/5 — Completely pay to win

*2026-03-09, version 1.32.0*

You would think a major IP like Star Trek would be able to have a game that isn’t about micro transactions….

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2026-02-11, version 1.31.1*

Constantly crashes. Liked playing but decided to give up as tired of it not working. Shame

### 1/5 — Ads ads ads ads ads ads

*2026-01-21, version 1.31.0*

You’ll spend your life watching more ads than playing the game.

- Starting up the main game you’ll get x2 boost for your point whilst away by watching an ad.
- Then 3 x ads for 12 hours of double points boost (4 hours each)
- Then an ad for 30 dilithium boost
- Then an ad for catching the intruder for a points boost
- Then double all of those again for the mini game

That’s 12 adverts at 45 seconds each (which is how long a 30 second advert takes to watch with mini games and obtaining screens to clear) before you can really start playing.

You don’t have to watch the ads of course, but if you don’t you’ll never get any of the bonuses because you won’t accrue enough points to make it up the leaderboard.

Your only other option is to pay the ludicrous prices the developer wants for temporary boosts but they just aren’t worth the money. Some of them can be over £20!!!

There is of course no “No Ads” option which, for this game, would be worth it to get a decent amount of your life back. However, given the price charged for other in-game boosts, this would likely be reassuringly expensive.

All things considered, for an idle game that doesn’t require much of your attention, give it a miss, because you’ll save HOURS avoiding watching ADVERT AFTER ADVERT AFTER ADVERT.

Whatever happened to the early days of the App Store when you’d be prepared to pay £7.99 for a game and be able to play it without being constantly reamed in the wallet?

Update following the response from the developer…

I see some of the in-game progression purchases have gone as high as £30. I played a mini-game this week and even though I spent quite some time AND 100 latinum (earned not purchased) in the game, I still only came out 124th of all the players, entitling me to NO bonuses whatsoever.

You’ll forgive me for not holding my breath while you work on making the game fairer for non-paying players.

### 1/5 — Bland micropayment vacuum

*2026-01-10, version 1.31.0*

This game was fun for a while, but it’s just another way the game makers to suck your wallet and dry with micro payments.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2025-11-24, version 1.30.0*

Rampant cheating

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2025-11-23, version 1.30.0*

The game opened the first day I played it and it won’t open anymore. I get a black screen.

### 1/5 — Boring

*2025-11-22, version 1.30.0*

Less of game and more of a watch ads to still not progress because the upgrade threshold gets so high all your left doing is watching a screen with no gameplay. No one wants to tap twelve businesses to collect money because you made it too expensive to level up without spending money. Garbage so called game with fake reviews at that because your paying me to play it I know for a fact these reviews are fake.

### 1/5 — Don't do it

*2025-11-13, version 1.30.0*

Game claims to be an idle game which it is for the first few levels but as you grind your way through it becomes much more manual. Automating collection of merits at later stages requires certain levels of a particular character. Character upgrades requires so many chips of that character to upgrade it along with a secondary currency called dilithium. You are so slowly drip fed character shards and dilithium that it is nearly impossible to upgrade your characters without spending real money on micro transactions. Of course you can get 30 dilithium for free if you watch an ad. Want double earnings for 4 hours? Watch an ad! Want to triple the double earnings to 12 hours? That's 2 more ads. Devs are consistently running events that usually fail in some way. I only just completed my first event without some sort of game breaking bug. The Event area has its own separate ads to watch for bonuses, so, there's 4 more ads to watch to compete in the event.

### 1/5 — Disappointment

*2025-11-10, version 1.30.0*

Downloaded with excitement just to have it sit there and give me the wheel of death. Did not pass 0% load. Deleted and tried 3 times. I am running beta so that may be it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please don’t end!

### 5/5 — Fun

*2026-05-27, version 1.33.2*

Fun

### 5/5 — All Good Things…

*2026-05-19, version 1.33.1*

The game is shutting down and vanishing for good soon, the real reason why this era of everything being hosted is a genuinely bad thing…

This simple little game could live on for a long time as a stand alone game, but the desire to make everything a subscription or micro transaction mine has made it a guarantee that in time all these mobile games will die off and vanish forever.

This was truly nothing more than a reskin of an idle numbers game but it captured the feel of our cherished Star Trek franchise so ruined by Kurtzman NuTrek that we all wanted to hold on to this last refuge of Gene’s vision.

It will be missed, but as Q said…

“Goodbye Jean Luc, I’m going to miss you…but then again, all good things must come to an end.”

🖖🏻

### 5/5 — Boldly gone?

*2026-05-17, version 1.33.1*

I love this little game. It’s literally the only game I play! I’m so bummed it’s going away. Please reconsider for us Trekkies….its been a hard year for us so far!🖖
