### 3/5 — En Français

*2024-10-20*

### 2/5 — Where are the other campaigns??

*2023-05-12*

Fantasy flight??? What the heck happened?!? How can you drop the ball like this. The app is really nice but it lacks a lot of campaign data. You can use this only for the core set and also for the Return to Hoth and Jaba’s Realm. Nothing else!!!! Not even expandable characters which this has a lot. Ex. When you add Luke Skywalker to the app, you would think he is a playable character but in those three campaigns, which are the only ones even though there are 3 more expansions on top of that, you can only use the characters that come with it.

Why would I want to own Luke if I can’t play as him!!! Seriously. This could be as nice as Journeys in Middle Earth which is an app that fully utilizes all of the extra content that you purchase.

### 4/5 — Super app, leider zu leicht

*2023-02-24*

!!!ACHTUNG!!! Also bitte nicht direkt schlecht bewerten…

### 1/5 — How stooped

*2022-10-27, version 1.6.5*

It is just a bord game it isn’t fun

### 1/5 — Dont even bother

*2022-08-16, version 1.6.5*

I cant begin to express my disappointment after discovering that they went through the work of creating maps and models for stuff like, doors, crates, etc. but not a single character model just straight up lazy i thought i was gonna be playing an xcom like top down tactical rpg but no its exactly that just you gotta use your imagination for everything 😑

### 1/5 — This game is not what you think it is

*2022-03-24*

When you are getting this game or any game like this you are expecting a fun battle game instead it feels like a game of chess.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE

*2022-03-12, version 1.6.5*

This tutorial got on my nerves. It took me 30 minutes just to keep saying continue. It would not let me play the game. It was very crappy and incredibly confusing.

### 1/5 — Ttt

*2021-08-07, version 1.6.5*

I would give this zero stars if I could

### 2/5 — Very… very, Disappointed…

*2021-08-06*

At first, this game had me going… but, due to the lack of work in this game. I have my issues, but the main issue is that you can’t see your character(s). Also… “end character?” Why would that be a feature? And due to the fact that you need the board game to play, due that -1 stars, -2 stars. Developers… please please pleaseeeee fix these issues. I’d rather eat my own eye-ball than buy the board game, but anyways… not bad.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2021-04-07, version 1.6.5*

I’m an IA nerd. I’ve been obsessed with this game for over a year and I’ll just say I’m involved. I’ve played games against the champion of almost every tournament IA has had in the last year. I own every box expansion and have played with almost every figure in both skirmish and campaign.

So far I have played 3 campaigns in this app, and I can definitely say this app is okay.
If you don’t know what this app does, it essentially gives you another campaign for each box campaign you already have. (That’s 4 of you own every expansion.) after entering everything you own in the app, you can then play you’re campaign. The campaigns are completely new and decent enough.

The biggest pro in my opinion is definitely that this app allows you to play IA alone. I have spent countless hours sitting at my game table playing Legends of the Alliance simply because I was itching to play something IA. (And needed to be able to leave at a moments notice without worrying about leavening someone lfg on Slack having wasted 30 minutes.)

Another pro is the way doors are structured. If you have yet to open a door, you cannot see anything on the other side of it. Plus, even things that are around corners are invisible to you. There are also a few really creative map objectives that can only be accomplished through the app.

The biggest con is definitely the bad guys and allies. Many of the abilities, mostly on allies, are pretty much impossible to use or translate. You will find that it is completely up in the air whether you can even use a given supply card. Plus, it’s way too easy to simply forget to wound a hero in the app and have to face way too many imperials.

Most importantly, it’s just not as fun to have to log everything in an app. While the app unlocks many things you wouldn’t otherwise have with IA, it’s simply not as fun as playing with real people. There is just so much to do in the app (and so much that doesn’t translate well) that it’s not as fun as the real thing.

But that is definitely not to say the app is bad. It does as advertised. For a free app, it’s a great extra thing you can do. But while the app is free, the game isn’t.

If you already have the game, I would very highly recommend that you try the app. The solo play is great if you simply have no one to play with and the co-op is fine enough if you have to play co-op. Just be sure, no matter how you play, that you always select 4 players. Divide up the 4 heroes how you want but be sure to pick 4.

If you are buying the game for the solo and co-op play, I would recommend that you spend your money somewhere else. There are better solo games out there. If you have only played IA against the app, then you haven’t truly played IA. It’s fun, but not only is it not as good, but there isn’t enough content in the app to make the 100 bucks worth it.

If you’re already considering getting IA but barely edged it out until you saw the app, then I’d say still get it. The app does what it claims so if you can get past some weird figure interactions and a lot of app tracking I think you’ll be happy.

I play IA at one of the highest levels there is so if your more casual, most of my arguments probably won’t apply. The UI is very easy to use and the control are very easy to understand so for those who don’t necessarily need the purest IA there is then give then you will be perfectly fine with the app.

If you’re big into the skirmish mode, I can confidently tell you that the app will not help with that.
Please, I beg you, if you care even a little bit about the skirmish mode, be sure to check out the IACP. Believe it or not, IA still has a very active community with amazing people and balancing changes for almost every unbalanced card in the game. (Not to mention new figures like Mando, Mara Jade, and Yoda) Just go to the Imperial Assault Continuity Project website and you’ll find everything you need. Also, be sure to check out the Slack channel.

I should mention before I conclude, that there is another option other than this app. It uses the same campaigns as are in the campaign guides but it is way more accurate than this app.

Overall not bad! It does what it says it does, and it’s not perfect at all, but still pretty good!

### 1/5 — Müll

*2021-02-25*

Schlecht 🤮

### 1/5 — I don’t understand!!

*2021-02-22, version 1.6.5*

This is soo confusing and the rules are very unclear 😕
I couldn’t do anything how can anyone play this game!
I’m sorry but this is.... it’s....(Sigh)

### 1/5 — Requires board game thats ‘unavailable’

*2021-01-19*

It requires a board game that’s listed as unavailable on the manufacturer’s website. This should be boldes in the description to stop potential new users from downloading it.

### 1/5 — ???

*2021-01-10, version 1.6.5*

When I got this game, I thought it would be a 3D Star Wars game or something, but it it turns out you need a whole board game to do something with it. All in all, don’t play unless you have the stinkin’ Board game.

### 1/5 — LET ME PLAY

*2025-07-15, version 1.6.6*

The tutorial is way to long I didn’t get to play until 20 minutes later after it told every tiny detail like I can learn while I play don’t tell me everything in one giant essay

### 1/5 — Deserves to be deleted

*2025-04-17*

I just started and there is so much writing so if you like reading pointless stuff then go ahead get the game

### 1/5 — This game is a fraud

*2025-03-22, version 1.6.6*

First release was amazing i enjoyed it very much its a shame how the game turned out to be now :(

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-02-15, version 1.6.6*

This is just a bad Star Wars game I downloaded it and thought it would be a running around game defeating storm troopers or other bad guys.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2024-08-18*

If you like pressing “continue” 50 times this is the time wasting app for you

### 1/5 — Sw

*2024-07-28*

Not a card game

### 1/5 — Inutile

*2024-03-01*

### 1/5 — Funny

*2023-05-23, version 1.6.5*

Need board game

### 1/5 — Boring

*2023-01-22, version 1.6.5*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice D&D-style game

*2026-03-17*

Maybe I should get this. I tried it once and loved it.

### 5/5 — Fantastische Ergänzung

*2025-02-19*

### 5/5 — Basically an Automa deck

*2023-08-10*

As long as your expectations are tempered this app can add hours to the base game.

It is not an augmented board/video game hybrid, it is much more on par with an automa deck. It was also developed 3-4 years after the game was already released, so its a little janky.

The structure of what it does is very simple, gives you a mission, randomly drops enemies in a couple of pre-defined spots, gives you a framework of what action to take when it’s the enemy turn.

My guess is this app was developed after seeing the popularity of Gloomhaven on KS.

Given FL Games took an already existing game, then mapped a single/co-op experience onto it, and made it free, I think it deserves 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Excellent support

*2021-12-30*

### 5/5 — Awesome concept

*2021-09-20*

This has allowed me to play with my younger kids in coop.
Would happily pay if there was new content and expansions to match.

I’d really love them to make some Mandalorian expansions and content.

### 5/5 — Great app dumb people

*2021-04-12, version 1.6.5*

A lot of dumb people left bad reviews because they didn’t read the description and thought this was a stand alone game. It clearly states that it’s a companion app for the board game.

### 5/5 — EPIC

*2020-12-13*

Best Star Wars game ever play it

### 5/5 — Meh

*2020-10-17, version 1.6.4*

The story is to short and it’s hard to play because you have to do everything yourself, but I love it.

### 5/5 — The Game

*2020-04-11, version 1.6.3*

It’s incredible!

### 5/5 — A great support for the boardgame

*2020-04-05*

I’ve been a fan/collector of Imperial Assault since it first came out... the biggest problem I’ve had, as with all my “geeky” boardgames, it arranging games and getting people together... or conversely, as the owner of the game, always being the Imperial side.

This app effectively runs the game for you so you can play; whether it’s with friends, or solo. I know of no other(easy to pilot) app out there that will essentially be your Game Master so you can play it solo. This is an amazing idea for an app and I wish I could find more like it.

A note: this is literally ONLY a companion to the board game and it requires that you own the boardgame... otherwise, everything will make mo sense at all.(I think that’s why there are so many negative reviews... people thinking it’s a total game). It’s a “bot” to facilitate playing the actual boardgame.
