It is so frustrating. After the third time it just closes itself I usually just give up for the night. I like the look and story line which are more than the usual match game, but not as overwhelming as mobile RPGs. The customization is fun and the ads are minimal. By the time you are at level 30, $8 will get you ten minutes of play time, and it will often take more than one payment before you hit a reward. It’s too bad because it started out fun - still had to watch a lot of ads each day in order to play for a solid period of time, but the pace was enough to keep it interesting. Unfortunately, it quickly became impossible to play for any solid period without spending money and it only got worse and worse and worse each day. Imagine being a game developer and designing your game to get less fun for the people who keep playing it? Madness. ### 5/5 — incredible *2026-08-02, version 1.78.0* this is hands down the best merge game i've ever come across. it has a complex, unique and interesting storyline, it's so addicting, has absolutely no forced ads, has a beautiful art style (where artists are credited), is lgbtqia+ inclusive, gives plenty of opportunities to get more energy, has plenty of events to earn energy... and so much more. the characters i've memorized by name and are so interesting and fun, this game is really so good. i love this story, i'm on level 61 and i'm so excited to keep playing this. recommend this to everyone. every merge game is the same, this stands out. love it so much. ### 4/5 — Not that bad???? *2026-08-02, version 1.78.0* I like to randomly download mobile games from ads I get just to what will happen for the fun of it. When I saw this one pop up talking about wanting to being back how older mobile games felt I knew I had to give it a try. So far I’ve been pleasantly surprised! The writing is cringy and fun, the art is very simplistic and cute and the overall mystery really just makes me want to play more. For the actual game part of it it’s super easy to get gems which makes getting more stamina really easy too! I always hated having to wait a long time to keep playing a game. Having a forced wait tile always sicks the joy out of games for me especially mobile ones. So this was honestly really nice! I just wish I was able to decorate the cafe ### 5/5 — one of the better merge games *2026-07-31, version 1.78.0* i’ve been playing for a few years now and it’s one of the only merge games i don’t drop after a couple of weeks. no ads unless you’re wanting the free daily energy and the game is pretty generous with rewards. the pros: good story, good rewards for completing quests, and you can customize your avatar. there’s also what i assume is a bug (please don’t fix it devs) where when you go to complete an order with an item, if you have another of that item and merge it fast enough you still complete the order but also get the upgraded item. the cons: there’s another small bug (yall can fix this one haha) where sometimes an item glitches out and appears off the board. you can’t interact with it but closing and reopening the game fixes it. you can also merge it to fix it but it’s invisible on the actual board so you have to do a little scavenger hunt to find it lol. this next thing is really trivial but i noticed in other merge games if you swap two items in your board they trade places, but in this one, only one of the items you’re switching will go to the right spot and the other just kinda goes wherever. both of those cons are really small things though. ### 4/5 — Avatar needs change *2026-07-27, version 1.78.0* I don’t want to play with this Drew looking fellow!!! Many merge games don’t compare to this one where it actually feels well developed of a game, but still easy for a casual gamer like me. And the storyline is so unique and funny— the jabs at the writers always leave me giggling. Ashamed/Not Ashamed to say I’ve probably spent a couple hundred dollars on this game being impatient to follow the storyline— it’s just sooo good!!! Also, as an aly, so tickled to see all the queer representation in this game. I played this game wayy back in 2021 around pandemic era, and recently picked it up again. I’m at level 109, which is pretty high comparatively. Just goes to show how much I love this game. The plot is silly and fun while still being engaging and feeling like it has stakes. Love the characters and their personal development is really cool to see. My only complaint is that Starla wears her work uniform 100% of the time. But that’s hardly a deal breaker, just kind of ridiculous lol.
