Firstly, I don’t understand the option of being able to elect to use biometrics when the app is going to fully log you out every few days. The intention of the biometrics is to simplify the login process and once you have been logged out, the re-login option does not allow to enter the user information from Passwords, rather you manually need to type in the phone number and it’s when you get to the password, you then can select the stored password. I know you can hold down, select autofill the go to passwords but that is longer again. Secondly, the find a store screen is flawed. You are unable to have it select your nearest store. The option to select a store gives an alert to enable location settings, but neither the settings within the app, app settings via the iOS settings or the iOS location services settings allow you to enable locations services for this app. Finally, I cannot for the life of me, work out why the app will not allow you to retain multiple ‘favourite stores’. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2025-10-16* Worst app in history. I used it a couple times and ever since I can’t get into the app. It just stays on the loading screen forever. Been like that for over a year and every time I go back to check if it’s working yet it it’s not so I’ll be deleting it. And yes, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling and that doesn’t fix the issue. I’ve even got a new phone since and it doesn’t work on that either. Useless! Won’t be going to my local Starbucks at all anymore either because a. I won’t get the rewards and b. I’m not waiting in the painfully long drive through or the store when I can’t order in advance on the app. Your rating on the App Store is already woeful and that is accurate. You would think with all these bad reviews you’d actually do something about it! ### 2/5 — Barebones, only sometimes works *2025-10-04* So, the app does allow for ordering. Location services works well, and the ordering process itself is reliable and smooth. An exception to that is it always selects Starbucks money as payment by default. Please change this to match whatever was previously used. There’s no way to add a Starbucks card to Wallet… Just why?? There’s no live activity for order statuses (not that it would matter since most stores say the order is completed before even starting to make the drink). Ideally, it’d be nice to see when the drink is ready for collection through the app. The app has hung or refused to open on multiple occasions. Each time this has happened, I’ve needed to restart my phone(!!) to fix the issue. If I could access my Starbucks card through Wallet this wouldn’t be as pressing. This is not an amazing app, but it does work. ### 1/5 — Most useless app on the planet! *2025-07-04* ***Do anyone at Starbucks actually read these reviews? Surely it can’t be that hard to have a coffee app that works? Cannot sign up for Starbucks rewards. Contacted the customer service, they suggested deleting and reinstalling the app. Did that, we’re back to the same problem. Useless! Furthermore maybe for those people who can’t seem to use the app, you could provide a physical coffee rewards card to use. I asked staff at a local store if they had one and simply got told to download the app, which I promptly said it doesn’t work, the staff member couldn’t have cared less really. Further update on this review 26/12… I have a new phone, still doesn’t work for Starbucks rewards! So it’s not me, it’s you Starbucks!!!! Won’t be ordering a coffee until you fix the app. Enjoying my $5 drink of the week at The Coffee Club instead! ### 1/5 — Missing important features *2025-04-20* When we order by app they don’t show on the app there some ingredient is not available at the location you order from. It should be updated minutes by minute if certain store missing such syrups or items. So I have the option to choose what I like not the barista choose by themselves what convince for them. Also there no way I can give feedback on my last purchase or I ask for change as I believe they mixed my order with someone else. So I can come back to return the wrong order. No immediate communication on the app with store staff about wrong order or general feedback so it can be avoided next time I order. Thanks ### 1/5 — The app hasn’t been working properly for months and months now *2025-02-15* Honestly I would fire the entire coding team who wrote the app, and start fresh. The amount of issues this app is astounding. I haven’t been able to see reward level properly, the app crashes whenever I try to access any items in settings… I use the latest iPhone and iOS, I have power cycled phone as well as uninstalled and reinstalled yet still remains. For a company that turns over millions and millions in profit - this is not acceptable! I’m sure your idiot in chief can sacrifice some of his overinflated bonus to fix something that is easily fixable ### 5/5 — Revamped Starbucks app is all a coffee lover wants!!! *2024-11-24* The recently revamped Starbucks app is a major improvement! The interface is extremely amazing compared to the old version, showcasing a significant step up in programming, app interface, and online ordering. However, it’s time for Starbucks to address some aspects, particularly with payments. I’ve encountered issues when paying online and would love to see Apple Pay integration or a more convenient card storage system. Despite this, the app remains fantastic, and I always enjoy ordering through it! ### 2/5 — App still crashes on login *2024-10-17* The app takes longer to get into that it does for the person to read back your order then read it to you again when you pay in the drive thru and still give you the wrong order then remake it for you correctly then the app responds and stops crashing and login you out. So many bugs to still fix , but like everything it’s a work in-progress. Meant to be easier and convenient but unfortunately it’s not. If the app improves I’ll happily change my review but until such time occurs 2 stars is being generous. ### 2/5 — Allow Starbucks card in Apple wallet *2024-10-08* It’s getting better and finally you have added Apple Pay as a payment option this should have been there years ago.
