I wish we may turn off STARLINK from app . Also want to see how hot is terminal . So if there is hot I can turned off from my app and I don’t have to step out to my trunk and disconnect from power outlet .

We’ve been using starlink for the last year with no issues until this month. Starlink’s AI fagged our account for “violating terms of service due to patterns consistent with business use”. This caused an automatic restriction of our account, reduced internet speeds, and bricked/locked our personally purchased equipment. We obviously immediately reached out to customer service thinking there must be some mistake. Customer service repeatedly stated they could not help us even after escalating the ticket 3x to their “leadership team”. This “leadership team” could not explain why the account was flagged, what metrics they monitor to make this auto-determination, or offer any resolution other than switching to a business plan that would cost $500+ per month for worse service. 

We have been paying for “unlimited” service for the past year. One customer service rep mentioned that it could be due to increased data consumption over the last month. We are a family of 4 with casual internet use. Had Starlink simply reached out in regard to increased data consumption, we could’ve taken steps to solve the problem. Instead they just to brick our equipment, nerf our speeds, and cancel our service at the end of the billing cycle. 

TLDR;

Unlimited data does not mean unlimited data. Starlink nerfed our speeds to 10mbps 10 days into our billing cycle, bricked our personally bought equipment making it non-transferable, and offered ZERO customer service support.

It works as expected. Bad weather affects coverage. As the parent of two teens with their own devices, I would like to be able to put specific devices on a regular sleep schedule. As it is, you have to manually pause and unpause specific devices to restrict their Wi-Fi access. If you pause a device, all the user has to do is “forget” your Wi-Fi network, reconnect, and they’re back on. The other option is to put the entire Starlink system on the same sleep schedule, which would include our wifi enabled security cameras and, for example, my laptop, which I may be working on late into the night for grad school, beyond when my kids devices would be in use. I also want individual devices and their names to be remembered. We enjoyed all these capabilities with our previous internet provider so I’m sure it’s possible for Starlink to achieve as well.

Just awful, KIT codes dont work, impossible to activate starlink, get passes around support. Messy, very messy. Unorganised company, and faulty product.

I’ve repeatedly told your support team that there is something very wrong going on with this app and the entire app went totally black and wouldn’t do anything at all for ages and I keep showing nothing but repeatedly getting totally disconnected and my antenna has a total clear view of the sky and I’ve got it elevated to a very high position and it is stable position  support even told me that they would replace my antenna and router but I’d only just gotten this entire new antenna and router kit setup and then having to go through the entire setup process again is a huge nightmare and I am wondering why all of these different antenna aren’t all performance antennas like your top end kit setups so users don’t experience issues with their satellite signals 

And I will also just state that people didn’t pay for other subscription to other types of security measures and VPNs so we have to disconnect them and they should work perfectly fine with all other types of applications and services and especially with today’s technologies and the help of artificial intelligence there shouldn’t be any problems with these types of apps and services working in conjunction with each other

It’s been a lifesaver to have on the boat to keep the security system cameras accessible! I LOVE the pause feature when it’s time to put the boat on the dry for the off season and having the mini allows me to bring it with me when I’m traveling!

I can set the mini on the ground in front of my house or use an inverter to plug in to the cigarette lighter in my pickup and use Starlink out in rural areas. Amazing!
