## What is Starlog?

Starlog is a pilot's logbook — for Maersk
Air Cargo crews flying Navblue Raido rosters, CGN-based and BLL-based.

WHO IT'S FOR

  • Starlog currently supports Maersk Air Cargo ONLY — both the
CGN-based and BLL-based operations. The roster sync, FTL pre-checks,
and tax tools are built specifically around them.

  • If you fly for a different airline, the Raido roster sync will not
work for you yet — please hold off installing until we add your
operator. Manual logging works for anyone, but the app is tuned for
    Maersk Air Cargo today.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Logs every flight, simulator session, and ground duty with the exact
    Part-FCL columns: PIC / Co-Pilot / Dual / Instructor, Single-Pilot
and Multi-Pilot time, day and night landings, IFR, FSTD sessions,
    crew names, and remarks.

  • Syncs your Raido roster automatically. Sign in once; the app keeps
your flights and sims up to date in the background as new pairings
drop. Your Raido credentials never leave your phone — they live in
the iOS Keychain and are sent only to Navblue directly.

  • Exports a signed EASA Part-FCL or UK CAA CAP 758 logbook PDF — with
a certification cover page, your stored signature on every page, and
a Grand Total row. Hand it to your accountant or to a new airline
    on day one.

  • Tracks your 90-day landing recency. If your roster won't sustain
three landings by the cutoff, you get a warning on the Dashboard
with the specific date the currency lapses.

  • Calculates UK tax days. HMRC RDR3-compliant counting: workdays in
the UK, percentage by tax year, AOC distribution split between
Maersk Air Cargo and any wet-lease operator on your roster.

  • Runs FTL pre-checks. Full CS-FTL.1 implementation — acclimatisation
state machine, augmented-crew bunk extensions, night-duty sector
caps, disruptive stacking. Shows the rule reasoning bullets so you
can see why a duty is being flagged, not just that it is.

  • Reminds you of expiring qualifications. Medical, line check, OPC,
    every type rating — 90 / 30 / 7 day notifications, all stored
    locally.

  • Lock-screen widget and Live Activity for the next flight. Wake-up
alarm helper for night reports. (Critical Alerts coming when Apple
    approves the entitlement.)

WHAT IT ISN'T

  • Not a certified logbook system. Authorities don't certify mobile
apps, and Starlog is no exception. The PDF is the signed record
you submit; the in-app database is your working copy.

  • Not regulatory advice. The FTL pre-checker is a sanity-check tool,
not a scheduling system. Always cross-check against your OM-A.

  • Not a tax adviser. The UK tax tools are best-effort estimates
against HMRC RDR3 / EIM. Talk to a real accountant before you file.

PRICING

  • Starlog is free for manual flight, simulator, and ground-duty
    logging, kept on your device.

  • Starlog Pro (€9.99 / month or €99 / year, with a 14-day free trial)
unlocks automatic Raido roster sync, the FTL pre-checker, the UK &
Danish tax tools, and the signed EASA / UK CAA logbook PDFs.

  • Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before
the end of the current period. Manage in Settings → Apple ID →
    Subscriptions.

  • Your flights live on your device only. We never see them.
  • The only data on our servers is your email + subscription status.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-03

What's new

• Ready for iOS 27.
• Lock-screen cards switch by themselves: briefing → sim → debrief, and the next sector, appear without opening the app. A card that stalled is replaced the next time the app runs.
• Per Diems: only trips you have flown, two duties never merged into one, airport codes read right — in older entries too.
• Logbook imports: LogTen Pro, Swift Logbook and Starlog's own PDF, every page checked before anything lands. Unknown book? Send it to us from the app and hear back in the app.
• Previous experience up to any date, with TRI, TRE and instructor hours counted in Totals.
• Fuel converter in US gallons, lb/gal and the slip's pounds.
• §33A tracker checked and corrected; UK Days now show where the published roster takes your percentage.
• Hotel arrival: log it and the sheet gives the pickup to tell the driver and the earliest check-in; the hotel is on every sim-trip day with a countdown to your leaving time.
• Raido password changed? Starlog stops retrying and asks for the new one, right where you are.
• PIC follows Raido's crew line on every sector, past and coming.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-17

Starlog 1.0.5

• Layover, rebuilt for the taxi: log your hotel arrival and get the pickup to give the driver and the earliest check-in for the company. Times in Z, home-base time or local.
• The lock screen counts down to the same pickup minute as the card.
• Your room number and arrival stay on the card, and the pickup lands on the right day.
• Rest after a duty is measured on the whole duty period, as the FTL rule says.
• Raido: the note under a roster day shows on the duty; check-in cards only on flights that still need it; standby codes read as plain words.
• Share to Starlog: a Google Maps link becomes your layover hotel.
• The simulator check-in QR stays put across updates.
• Shorter weather and NOTAM cards; Totals count only flown sectors.
• Your entries and settings sync, end-to-end encrypted, between your phone and iPad.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-09

NOTES FOR APP REVIEW — 1.0.4 (80)

Account sync: turn on under More → Account → Sync. The flow asks for the account password once, then shows a Recovery Kit (save as PDF via the share sheet, or copy). To see sync between devices, sign in with the same account on a second device: it restores automatically after sign-in. Data is encrypted on the device with standard algorithms (AES-GCM, scrypt) before upload; the server holds only ciphertext. ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption is false because only standard, exempt algorithms are used.

Share extension ("Starlog" in the share sheet): from Google Maps or Safari, share a place link. Starlog opens and offers it as the hotel for the current layover. The extension accepts one web URL or text, nothing else.

Notifications: time-sensitive local notifications for duty reminders, the hotel arrival prompt and check-in; all optional and shown only for rostered duties. No push marketing.

Roster data comes from the pilot's airline crew portal with their own credentials; the reviewer account carries sample roster data. Aviation figures (duty limits, rest) are advisory and clearly marked as such in the app.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-27

Check-in, hotels, and fuel — a quality pass across the day-of-flying tools.

• Check in to Raido from the app: it opens Raido's own check-in page, you tap the confirm button yourself, and the app records the check-in only when Raido confirms it. Offered where it belongs — first departure of a duty and after hotel rest.
• Hotel pickup and arrival times are set with day · hour · minute wheels and an explicit LT/UTC choice. Fixed a timezone bug that could store local-time entries as UTC.
• Your pickup time now drives the lock-screen countdown (labelled PICKUP), and the room number shows on the lock screen and widget.
• NOTAMs display their validity period, with margin after landing for delays and diversions.
• Landing recency now counts an EASA/UK simulator OPC or LPC and lists every landing it counted, so the number is checkable.
• Fuel converter reworked to match the real fueling workflow: parking fuel → fuel on board → planned uplift, with litres converting to your base unit as the actual uplift. Remembers your entries per flight.
• A rotation crossing midnight stays one rotation when swiping.
• Updates now apply on first launch after installing.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-18

• NOTAMs you can trust — "No NOTAMs" only when confirmed; otherwise UNAVAILABLE / STALE
• Roster after sync is exactly Raido — removed legs no longer linger; restorable from the review queue
• Review queue shows what conflicts, field by field
• Roles follow your declarations, with editable periods; new Line checker (EASA / UK)
• Landing recency tracked per AOC — EASA and UK
• UK days default to the calendar year
• Logbook PDF remarks fixed; edit freeze and silent pull-to-refresh fixed
